Chapter 41

"He truly was a pitiful excuse of a man." Silvester's voice rang out as he moved in the direction of Jade and the body of Logan. Not in the slightest did he feel sorry for the man for getting himself killed by Jade's hand. At the most he felt disappointment that the man had fallen so easily causing him to lose one of his forms of entertainment.

Fffssssss...

A slight hissing sound sounded from the calico around Jade's neck as it stared at the man in white walking towards them. In a matter of seconds Capricorn had placed himself between Jade and Silvester. Loudly a yowling noise like a mad feline sounded from his throat as he stood ready to defend Jade to his best capabilities. There was no sign of Silvester making a move to attack Jade in the slightest. Walking over to Logan's corpse he placed his foot on the head of the man and pressed down hard forcing the mans face into the scorched dirt below.

"I even gave him the chance. tsk. tsk. tsk." Silvester sighed before turning his gaze towards Capricorn and Jade. The thought that Capricorn still thought to go against him felt laughable.

"Are you going to stand in our way, Silvester?" Capricorn asked as he stared the man down. He had warned him already to not go against Jade or he would have those of the Void after him for going against the second prince.

"Do you really think I care what I bring on for going against you? You're not involved in my affairs you stray!" Silvester felt a tinge of annoyance at him for getting involved with his interest in fighting Jade. He did not know in the slightest about Jade being a prince but even if he had he would not care in the least. Titles meant nothing to Silvester when he had taken interest in someone.

"You'd seriously think to-" Capricorn went to protest his decision but before he could finish his body felt a sudden cold chill down to his spine, sweat dripping from his forehead.

In the time it took to simply blink Silvester was in front of Capricorn standing face to face just inches from his face. His hand firmly grasped around his neck as he lifted Capricorn into the air so that he had to struggle to breathe. The man's white wings spread out wide behind his back as he glared hard at his face as he struggled to free himself. A slight sound of gagging started to resound in the air as his hand tightened more.

At the sight in front of him Jade could not stop his heart from beating hard in his chest. As much as he feared Silvester he feared losing those closest to him more. Upon his own instincts his body shot forward finding himself using his single wing to cast himself up into the air. Descending downward with his wing stretched out behind him his foot naturally raised itself outward.

BOOM!

Silvester was too quick to catch on to the motion behind him. Turning his body in the blink of an eye his free hand caught hold of Jade's foot in mid air before he could send him flying. The hand that held onto Capricorn threw the man's body against a tree out of the clearing. Spitting out blood at the harsh impact the man gasped out in pain before falling to the ground. He could see the human, Noel, darting over to the wounded Capricorn to make sure that he was alright.

Jade's wing beat against the air as he used it other foot to smash against the arm that held onto his foot. As soon as his free foot smashed against Silvester's arm there was not so much as a wince of pain. Swinging his arm around he released and sent Jade flying off in a random direction opposite of the others. He watched as Jade used his wing to catch his balance and land carefully on the ground. The small calico on his shoulder still holding on for dear life as it yowled out as if it was angry at the rough movement, however it never wavered and tried to escape from where it perched on Jade.

"It looks like you have more felines then you can handle, right? Let me help you a bit." Silvester turned and looked in Noel and Capricorn's direction. Capricorn had just sat up and was being helped by Noel where he sat by the tree he had just been thrown against. Slowly raising his finger like a gun in the direction of them a slight smile started to slip onto his face.

"Bang." Silvester said as a sudden light shot from his fingertip like a bullet. Just like a bullet that light shot right threw Capricorn's shoulder causing blood to splatter behind his body on the tree.

"Capricorn!" Noel shouted as he hurried to cover up the wound as blood rushed from it. Blood rushed from the wound quickly. The only thing Noel could think of was to quickly take off his blue scarf and tie off the wound tightly in order to slow the bleeding.

"I'm.. Alright.. Take care of the second prince.." Capricorn forced out the words as he leaned back against the tree. He could feel the blood still rushing from the wound but he was certain he could manage for a while. The one he was worried about was Jade and not himself.

"Ah? A prince is it?" Silvester laughed after hearing those words as he turned his head and looked at Jade again with a smile on his face. He could see the anger on Jade's darkened expression for wounding Capricorn. "Blessed. I am truly blessed with something interesting here!"

Jade stood there in silence as he could feel the fiery rage inside of him. He wanted to rip Silvester apart for touching those around him. As the man slowly began to raise his hand once more pointing at the two of them he could feel his blood boiling. Quivering from head to toe with fury in his heart his body began to give off a green light that enveloped him. Shooting his body forward he found himself face to face with Silvester before the man could make a move to harm Noel.

BOOM!

Jade's fist collided with Silvester's own causing a massive gust of wind to be sent in all directions that shook the surroundings.
