Chapter 79. Arctic Zone (1/3)

Inside the secret plane of the dark dawn guild,

Tirus sat cross-legged as he held a potion in his hand.

[Name: Tirus Van Elrod, Occupation: rank 4 magus; strength: 100.2 agility: 100.3, vitality: 100.1, spiritual force: 999.2 , soul force: 99 (magic power is in sync with spiritual force) status: Healthy]

"Now its time." He murmured as he looked at the potion in his hand, the liquid inside the vial was giving off a pinkish glow.

"High grade ancient potion, Thamion's essence."

This ancient potion could increase one's chance of a successful breakthrough to official magus rank by 40%, but the best thing about it was that it had no side effects. But after certain modifications, this potion became ideal for every time one broke through to the next rank.

He was planning to use this potion's modified version to break through to rank 4 in the past, but due to certain circumstances, he didn't need it at that time. However, now he needed this potion the most if he wanted to quickly break through to rank 5.

The soul of a Morning Star was similar to a star, dazzling and condensed, but a Radiant Moon who had just advanced had a soul that was tens of times larger than that of a Morning Star, forming a large and full sphere.

The threshold for reaching Radiant Moon was when the spiritual force approached the critical value (1000) and the soul force reached 100, transforming the soul from a star into a dazzling moon.

*Gulp*

The formations laid on the floor started to glow with a dim radiance as Tirus opened the vial and drank the potion.

He closed his eyes and focused on his sea pf consciousness.

There was a point sized golden mass which was sometimes emitting a scarlet radiance, and just below it was a dark lotus with four petals, floating inside his sea of consciousness.

Suddenly, a pinkish glow entered his sea of consciousness and started making contact with his point mass.

*Rumble*

*Rumble*

His entire sea of consciousness started rumbling as he felt the quality of his spiritual force and soul force increasing.

...

A month later,

*Bam*

The cultivation chamber inside the castle was destroyed as a man, who emitted the aura of a rank 5, appreared.

"A.I. chip, show me my stats."

[Beep!]

[Name: Tirus Van Elrod, Occupation: rank 5 magus, new moon; strength: 100.2 agility: 100.3, vitality: 100.1, spiritual force: 1200.2 , soul force: 150 (magic power is in sync with spiritual force) status: Healthy]

"Hm." Tirus closed his eyes and observed his sea of consciousness.

A dark lotus was emitting a silver radiance and the point mass, which was previously golden, had now turned into a similar colour. The five petals of the now silver lotus were leaned slightly towards to the point mass.

This was the change that was a step in his cultivation technique's 6th stage.

After so many years of research, the A.I. chip had finally created an almost flawless version of the 6th stage of the cultivation technique, and this version also had incorporated the dark lotus technique's data into it as well.

He was currently at the early stage, or the new moon stage of the radiant moon rank. Once he reached the peak of rank 5, the dark lotus would completely envelop the point mass, and then, like a sun, burst with full power once Tirus reached rank 6.

The best thing was that his spiritual force recovery speed was twice as fast and if he didn't exhaust his spiritual force, then it may even make some progress on its own.

'Now, I can go and conquer the Arctic Zone.' He thought.

In the canon, there was a small arc in which Leylin had gone to a continent which was right below the Twilight Zone, this zone was called the Arctic Zone by him.

This zone wasn't naturally formed but was actually the result of a being of law's blood's presence. This being of law had lived in the icy world and had comprehended the law of ice snd snow, it was a hegemon if not the sole ruler of its own world, but one day, Snake Dowager came.

The Snake Dowager wanted to cure her descendants of their bloodline curse, which caused them to have violent bursts of emotions, for which she needed the icy world. And so, a battle between the snake dowager and that icy being of law ensued. Once a being reached the realm of laws, and became a being of law, it'd become almost impossible for anyone to be able to kill them.

Because once a being fully comprehended a law, each and every thought of theirs would be akin to a spell, they would not die until their laws aren't extinguished and have infinite lifespan, and would be able to freely teleport anywhere in the world the world they were in.

This was the reason why even rank 8s would think twice before making an enemy out of someone who has fully comptehended even a single law. Snake Dowager was a being of law, a rank 8 at that, but she still wasn't able to completely destroy the rank 7 icy being of law and the icy being, the Arctic Queen, had a single drop of its blood survive the battle. That single drop of blood somehow ended up in the magus world and formed the Arctic Zone.

However, the Arctic queen's current battle strength wasn't even 10/10,000th of her original power, so killing her was possible.

*Sigh*

Letting out a sigh, Tirus activated a magic transmitter and said, "Prepare for the battle."

Although he could have created a warlock clone with the Sun's child bloodline before this, it wouldn't have made much difference since he didn't have enough time for him to wait till the clone reached even rank 3.

And he was quite confident in his abilities, he could easily handle that Arctic queen with just the bloodline imprint.
