Ferry Through the River

Chang'e took out one cookie from the box.

"If you wanna reach the key, a eating one of that will help you." The man smirked.

"Okay then." Chang'e ate one and started growing up. "Hey! It's working!" However, she grew up to much that she hit her head on the ceiling. Now she's too big!

"Owwie!" She felt a little pain but it didn't bother much. She turned to the table but there was no key. "Huh? Where's the key?!" She looked all over, but none.

The man and his monkey then laughed so hard. "Why are you guys laughing?" Chang'e asked, getting despondent.

"Actually kid, this is the real key! HAHAHAHAH!!!!" The man showed her the small key to the tiny door on his hand. Meanies! They were toying with her all long!

Chang'e got really frustrated and began to tear up, "H-How could you! I was just going after my little bunny who ran away from me! WAAAHHHH!!!!" She hysterically weep that her tears fell down like rain.

The man and monkey stopped and felt bad now for making her cry. "Woah woah, kid! I'm sorry! Please stop! There's a little more liquid in the bottle, drink and you'll shrink to the right size!" He said, taking out umbrella to shield himself and his monkey from her raining tears.

Chang'e stopped crying and did as told, she took a sip the best she can at her height from the bottle and began to shrink again.

"Geez, you almost flood the place!" He scolded which she let out a sob. The monkey hit him, implying he's not being nice yet. "Sorry about that again..." He bowed his head as he apologize.

She wipped her remaining tears, "Can I just enter?"

The man sigh, "Alright." He took out his key and unlocked the door, revealing nothing but darkness. "Welcome to Wonderland!"

Chang'e approached the with fear, "I-It's d-dark– AHHH!" The man pushed her and she fell down, last seeing the mysterious man and monkey waving bye to her.

She continuously fell deep down again like earlier. Next thing she knew, she landed on a boat floating on the river and was greeted by the ferryman.

"Hello little girl. I'm Faramis the Ferryman" He had dark hair and golden eyes. As for his clothing, he wore nothing much on top but a a royal blue cloak, lined in yellow with white feathers.

Chang'e and him didn't chat much further and just ferry her through the river. Silence between them fill the air and only the sounds of the streaming water and rowing oar can be heard. The place is also dim, like it's a underground cave. Faramis' staff that emitted a bright golden light illuminated their way.

The little rascal looked down from the boat and saw a swarm of colorful fishes swimming beneath. Some even leaped up through. She raised her head for a bubble to pop on her nose, ahead she saw alot of sea creatures dancing on the air, before splashing back down. Chang'e was left in awe.

"Hold on tight, little girl. " Faramis said. The boat soon surges up to the air which Chang'e gripped herself tightly on a pole, the feeling made her lightheaded. Later, she could see they're getting close to a waterfall!

"Mr. Faramis!!" Chang'e shouted but it did not worry him, nor he didn't do anything to prevent it. The fall down from the high waterfall, with Chang'e screaming and Faramis just stayed calm and collective.

The strong currents came and pushed the boat rapidly by its force. They came across a series of twist and turns that it made Chang'e very uneasy. Fortunately, it didn't last long as she thought and everything is smooth again. She sigh in relief, but also felt she wants to hurl up.

Passing time, they had been ferrying for a long while now, it made Chang'e bored that she rested her head on her arms. "Look up, little girl." Faramis said.

Chang'e can now see shining daylight at last afar. Once they have exited, Chang'e was astonished by the sight. There was an array of flowers and mushroom in different sizes and colors, and the sky is clear and sunny. Cards, clocks, lamps and other things are in every corner. "So this is Wonderland..."

She also noticed her appearance had change, her hair is now in a tawny color, and styled in another way. And her outfit and headpiece are also different now, that she thought she looks like her lovely Xuanlu!

The boat stopped by on the small dock for Chang'e to step out. "Thanks for the ferry ride, Mr. Faramis!" She politely bowed down showing her appreciation.

Faramis nodded with a smile and rowed back to the cave, the exit closed and now it's a waterfall. Chang'e didn't know where to go, but she marched forward.

A sign up ahead says, "Enchanting Forest: Where everything is enchanted! :D"

Chang'e giggle at that and walked through. Admiring every single thing she saw on her way.

"Hoot Hoot!" She knew that sound is made by an owl, and afar she saw a flying white anthropomorphic white and brown feathered owl wearing a purple and yellow hat, same colors of his robes like a magician. It also wears glasses and it's holding a staff with a glowing lamp!

"Hey! Wait!" Chang'e ran towards it but it didn't hear her. She hoped that it might had seen her dear bunny. Silhouettes merge out from the shadows and began murmuring, however Chang'e didn't noticed or heat. All she wanted is to reach that owl.
