Chapter 7

I fell asleep on the way back and woke up in my bed utterly and uncontrollably hungry, I used up all my energy in that Ki blast and I didn't eat anything last night, so I was quite literally the embodiment of gluttony now, so I made my way to the kitchen to see if any food was kept for me.

I ran into the matron, Anais and some of the adults non of the children were around so I immediately understood what was happening, while I would like to blame Anais for telling them it would not be fair on my part as the explosion occurred where I usually go to train and her loyalty towards the matron is much higher than mine, but I don't have to worry about anything since I plan on leaving in the future for my journey its better to have the matron know that I am strong enough to protect myself.

-Matron POV-

Yesterday I was looking after the kids and having them come in to prepare for dinner I heard a loud explosion and there was a minor earthquake, I was frightened so rushed the kids to get back into the house and once everyone was in, I did a head count to make sure everyone was safe, and I noticed that Anais and Tatsumaki weren't around.

I had the older kids look after the younger ones and rushed out to the location where Tatsumaki usually practiced as I had a very bad feeling in my mind but as I got closer, I noticed more people were gathered around and I started praying to whatever God exists that the worst hadn't happened.

Matron: "What happened?! What was that explosion?!"

Village head: "we aren't sure we only know it happened near the forest where Tatsumaki normally trains so we are trying to decide who is going to go check it out"

I felt my heart drop and I started having difficulty breathing then I heard everyone murmuring so I turned to look at what was causing the commotion and I saw Anais dragging Tatsumaki who was unconscious I didn't waste any time and ran towards them, the others helped me carry the kids towards the orphanage I was relieved once we saw they weren't in any danger, Anais was fine however she was exhausted while Tatsumaki had a few scrapes all over, I decided to ask what happened after they woke up, it seems the other villagers decided to go have a look at where the explosion occurred but I couldn't be bothered as I have to look after the kids till they are able to tell me what happened.

I was starting to get worried as Tatsumaki wasn't waking up normally he would be first to the table to eat a lot, but he hadn't moved since he got back and Anais had fallen asleep due to fatigue, a few hours had passed and there was no change in their conditions so I decided to head to bed hoping they would be able to wake up tomorrow and that Tatsumaki didn't have any undetectable injuries.

I was woken up to the knocking on the door, I looked at the clock to see it was around 6 in the morning, so I got up to see who it was, and it was the village chief along with some of the other men in our village.

Matron: "Village chief its really early is there something that you need from us, is it about what happened yesterday?"

Village chief: "Good morning, Matron yes, it is about yesterday. We managed to find where the explosion happened, and we were greeted by a small crater but no other signs or scraps that shows that there was a weapon used so we decided to come and ask Tatsumaki and Anais what they saw yesterday to see if we can understand what happened. Good morning, Anais"

I was shocked when I heard him call Anais' name, so I turned around and saw she was by the stairs, most likely she heard what we spoke about

Matron: "Good morning, Anais I'm not sure how much of what you heard but could you tell us what happened yesterday before you came back dragging Tatsumaki?"

She looked visibly shaken and scared to say anything, but after comforting her and assuring her that we won't allow anything bad happen to her she told us what happened and we were shocked to say the least, we had a hard time believing her however Anais was not one to lie.

I had a hard time processing the thought of a 5–6-year-old child like Tatsumaki firing an explosion from his hands but we won't be able to get anywhere until we hear it from Tatsumaki himself, my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps coming from the top of the stairs and we saw it was Tatsumaki and I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask him but what I noticed is that most of the wounds he had on his body had already started to for scabs at the rate he is healing he would most likely be fully healed in 2 or 3 days

Matron: "Good morning Tatsumaki we heard from Anais about what happened yesterday but we weren't able to fully understand what she was talking about or better yet we were having difficulty believing it so we were hoping you could explain to us what happened from you"

-Tatsumaki POV-

So, I was right she told the adults what happened, its not like I lose anything from having the truth about my strength revealed.

Tatsumaki: "What exactly has she said that you need clarification about?"

Village chief: "Good morning Tatsumaki, Anais her told us that when you were training yesterday you stopped all of a sudden and pointed your right arm which started glowing and after the light left your arm the explosion occurred, I'm pretty sure you can see how absurd it sounds so we were hoping you could clarify"

They already have a general idea of what happened the question is how much I should reveal, while I don't mind them finding out about me being powerful, I'm not so stupid as to reveal more information than they already have.

I've been getting the feeling that the next time I perform a Ki blast I would have better control, but I don't know why that is, so I decided to have a look at my status quickly before responding to their enquiry.

Well ill be damned it looks like that's the reason for the feeling I have been getting, it seems the skills I learn will appear on my status and it doesn't seem to take too many points to max out my mastery of the ability ill come back to it later for now I have to deal with the villagers

Tatsumaki: "okay, what happened yesterday was…"
