Chapter 46 - Memories

Sheyan comes out of flashback and looks around the building.

"Huashen fei's thugs should be outside, let's deal with them first before thinking about what to do with huashen fei." Sheyan spoke to himself and walked towards the stairs leading down.

He was on the second floor of the building, by the time he came down, he heard some rushed voices quickly closing in.

"That damn prick ran inside that building." Sheyan heard a scratchy voice say.

"5 guys already followed him in, what if they killed him first and got the bounty?" A timid voice asked.

"Nonsense, that bastard is very sneaky, he won't be killed so soon, we still have time, let's go inside quickly and get the bounty." Sheyan heard the Scratchy voice say.

Very soon Sheyan saw the people who were talking among themselves, there was a small group of 6 people who looked like roadside thugs.

They were drenched from the rain and all of them were panting profusely while walking towards his location as quickly as possible.

"That prick should also be tired after running in the rain for so long, as long as we find him killing him won't be too troublesome, those five hundred thousand are ours to sha-." The guy in the lead was talking with his comrades but suddenly he stopped talking because right in front of him, he saw the person they were searching for, smiling at them calmly like there was no chase or hunt happening.

"Hahahaha when luck is with you, a well can really walk up to you on its own. This prick came to us on his own." The guy in the lead laughed happily when he saw Sheyan standing in front of them.

"Quick kill him before he tries to run away." He ordered his comrades.

They quickly rushed towards Sheyan, the thought of five hundred thousands, made their actions twice as fast as usual.

Sheyan looked at his side and saw a metal rod laying on the floor. He quickly picked it up and swung it at the foremost thug.

BAM!!!

A loud sound rang all over the place, the upper left part of the foremost thug's head burst opened making blood and brain juice splatter all over the place.

Incoming thugs stopped in their tracks from the shock.

But Sheyan didn't wait for them to come out of the shock, he swung the rod two more times. His attacking speed was so fast that the thugs only saw a blur before two more heads burst and dead bodies fell down.

"This attack speed is really incredible, i think i should focus on close combat too from now on." Sheyan spoke, and swung his rod once again killing two more thugs leaving the last one shaking where he was standing.

He looked at the bodies of his comrades with missing heads, his legs finally gave up and he fell on his knees.

"Now i will ask questions and you will answer, are we clear?" Sheyan walked closer to the kneeling guy and spoke in a calm voice with a smile.

"Pl- please don't kill me! Please don't kill me! I will do anything." The guy quickly begged.

"Don't worry, if you answer all my questions, i will let you go." Sheyan spoke, his voice still calm and collected. But this calm voice was sending chills to the thug's whole body.

"Okay, first question where is Huashen fei right now?" Sheyan asked.

"He went to get his family, Since you killed Xide (the important guest) Xide's father black devil will not let Huashen fei go easily, so he went to bring his family back to the town to protect them." The thug replied.

"When will he come back to the town?" Sheyan asked.

"He left just recently, it should take at least 3 hours since it's raining so heavily." Thug quickly replied, his life depended on his answers so he gave as precise answers as he could possibly give.

"Where does Huashen fei hide his secret money?" Sheyan asked.

"I- I don't know about that." Thug replied.

"So you can't answer this question, pity, since you can't answer all my questions." Sheyan sighed with pity, like he really wanted the guy to be able to live.

"Wait! Wait! Don't kill me! Ask something el-" the thug tried to beg but the metal rod greeted his head before he could complete his sentence.

His head burst open too just like his comrades, Sheyan didn't give the corpses another look, he just walked towards the road calmly.

"The original Sheyan wasn't strong enough to kill this Huashen guy til his 5th 6th world, this guy created many problems for him, making Sheyan wanted and all, no need to keep this trouble for a long time, let's deal with him right now." Sheyan muttered and walked towards Huashen Fei's house, he got Sheyan's memories so he knew where he had to go.

Suddenly Sheyan's nightmare imprint sent a notification.

Sheyan looked at the notification and suddenly the memories surfaced.

'Right how could I forget about this, At the initial phase, a contestants attribute will exhibit rapid upgrading, however, upon experiencing both worlds, this upgrades will eventually stagnate and can only rely on the free attribute points in the nightmare realm to upgrade their attributes.'

'The initial phase of rapid upgrading is sort of a defensive mechanism by the nightmare realm for its contestants. The goal is to allow them a short growth period in power so that they can better adapt to the merciless nightmare worlds.'

'I have to take advantage of this rapid growth period to increase my strength, agility and physique attributes, since they are the lowest of all my basic attributes, having an all round attributes points is something no Contestant has been able to manage, even if they try to do it, they just invite their deaths sooner, since earning attributes points is very hard in nightmare realm and difficulty of missions increase by each world, so contestants always choose 2 or 3 attributes at most to specialise in.' Sheyan thought while walking on the rainy road.

"Let's sprint to Huashen Fei's house, it might increase my agility a little." Sheyan spoke and started to run towards Huashen Fei's house.

Very soon Sheyan reached Huashen Fei's house. Welcoming him were two astonished thugs, and a red basin placed at the dog's kennel.

Inside the basin were some fingers, before the original Sheyan managed to save his uncle, Huashen fei had cut off uncle Dazi's fingers and put them in the basin to feed his dog.

Nightmare imprint sent a notification to Sheyan.

Sheyan's heart suddenly tightened after looking at fingers in the basin, he lost his calm and felt extreme anger for the first time since coming to this world. He took out the metal rod and swung it at the upper bodies of thugs.

"ARGHHHHHHHH!!" Thugs screamed.

Sheyan didn't want to kill them in one swoop, he kept smashing the rod at different part of their bodies but didn't hit any lethal area, thugs kept screaming, dog barked for a while but hearing the continuous screaming of the humans in front of him, his courage finally gave up and he curled up his tail and hid inside the kennel.

Due to the continuous screaming of the thugs, people inside the house heard the sounds and quickly came out.

A total of 10 thugs.

Sheyan finally landed the lethal blow on the head of thugs and killed them, he looked at the other thugs with anger in his eyes.

He rushed towards them with the bent rod and attacked everyone in his reach, thugs couldn't do anything at all, Sheyan's skills, abilities and attributes points were not something to scoff at.

In just 1 minute he killed all the thugs, although some thugs managed to land a blow or two on Sheyan's body, but they were just superficial wounds, with Sheyan's healing speed they would be completely healed soon. Finally he came to the dog's kennel and killed the dog with a single banging on his head.

After doing all these, Sheyan finally released a big breath and calmed down his nerves.

'That wasn't like me at all, looks like the memories of the original Sheyan does have an affect on me, looking at uncle Dazi's fingers, i lost control of my emotions. I should keep them in check from now on.' Sheyan thought as he looked at the corpses lying all around the place.

'At least I got something good out of it, looks like i need to get hurt to increase my physique attribute.' Sheyan thought as he read the notifications.

"Let's wait for Huashen fei now, after killing him i will go somewhere to train to increase my attributes." Sheyan muttered and went inside the house to wait for Huashen fei.

Since Huashen fei won't be here for another 2-3 hours, Sheyan decided to search around the house for passing time.

After searching around, Sheyan came to a bedroom, he walked up to the bed and pushed it aside.

On the floor, right below the bed Sheyan saw a small door. He opened it up easily and found a safe inside.

Sheyan took out his liquid metal and turned it into the black barrelled gun, with just two shots of black barreled gun the safe crooked and Sheyan easily opened it.

Inside the safe was a big stash of packets filled with white powder and bundles of RMB notes, Sheyan counted them, it was five hundred thousands.

"This should be the bounty money, Huashen fei placed on my head." Sheyan spoke and stored the whole safe in his storage.

Sheyan searched around a little more but didn't find anything worth taking. So he went to the living room and sat on the sofa waiting for Huashen fei.

After half an hour, Sheyan heard the sound of a car. He immediately got up and came out of the house.

'How did he arrive so early?' Sheyan thought but when he came out, he saw that it wasn't Huashen fei but some other guy, from his memory he found out who this guy was. He was the brother in law of Huashen fei, Harry, a chief labourer contractor, he used Huashen Fei's influence to enforce his contracts and demolish many houses, basically he made many families homeless.

Sheyan didn't wait for him to even come out of the car, he directly turned his liquid metal into a Uzi and shot at Harry. Harry didn't even have time to scream before he died.

Sheyan went back inside the house after this small scruffle.

'I remember reading that Huashen Fei had many expert gunmen with him, although my endurance ability hasn't been awakened and can't be used in real world yet, my health points are still as high as 1500 points and with my refined steel ability I can decrease the incoming damage by 30 points, how about I let them shoot me til my HP reaches 2 or 300 points, with that my Physique attribute will surely increase by a large margin.' A random thought appeared in Sheyan's mind, although doing this will be revealing his abilities which is against the nightmare realm's regulation but first of all both of these abilities are passive and second Sheyan knew about the nightmare realm's way of dealing with these things. It is to ask the contestant to kill all the people who have seen his ability in a limited amount of time or the Contestant will be obliterated.

All of the people of Huashen fei will be dying in his hands anyway so Sheyan decided to do this.
