I thought while I looked at the immense difference in strength between us, "I knew that I said that, but... How is supposed an insect to kill a god?"
Dante knew that he had to survive just a few more seconds to successfully exhaust the sorcerer winning the battle, but Gojo's attacks were becoming more and more fierce, and Dante found himself struggling to keep up.
The difference between their arsenals became apparent as Dante's only way to damage him was with the special grade cursed tool, not with his strength or abilities.
With the hope of landing a critical blow, he kept boldly pushing forward, not letting him cast anything or recover. Jogo's technique was still active; he just needed to survive a few seconds against the strongest being in this world, but that task was turning out to be harder than he could have imagined.
Dodging Dante's desperate attacks, gojo thought, "I need to end this now..." After being in this predicament for so long, the sorcerer decided that was enough. At first, he wanted to end this with his bare strength to avoid damaging the non-sorcerers, but after seeing it turned out to be impossible, the plans changed.
A Blue and Red energy sphere materialized in front of him. Both were quickly combined into a dark purple shade, and his hands got in seal position.
Dante's heart skipped a beat as he realized what was happening. "D A N G E R" was the only word that echoed in his head.
The rainbow girl, in a snap of a finger, rushed to the purple energy ball with a thrust and sliced it off, destroying it completely not without meeting some resistance from the unfinished technique.
Dante almost crushing onto the wall from the sheer speed of going full speed, with a smile of relief, muttered, "I didn't like how that looked, so I broke it. Any problem...? No? Thank you for your understanding."
With that interaction, Gojo realized a truth he'd been trying to deny since this ordeal had started. For the first time in years, the strongest sorcerer that jujutsu society has created is at the mercy of fate.
Gojo was struggling to stay conscious and alive. Sweat dripped down his face as he contemplated his next move. He had already tried to teleport out, even if it meant the death of all these civilians.
His death would do a lot more damage to those under him, and curses he stopped with his mere presence would go wild, but something didn't let him teleport out; someone placed a barrier in this place, stopping him from teleporting out so he doesn't escape at this critical moment.
He guessed that, at most, he had 15 seconds of oxygen left. His vision was growing fuzzy as his brain struggled to function without the oxygen he lacked.
He could feel his body weakening, his limbs growing heavy and unresponsive. The air around him was thick with dust and debris, making it even harder for him to breathe.
Dante continued his relentless assault on Gojo, determined to keep him from casting any technique despite knowing that one hit from the strongest sorcerer could mean instant death.
But Gojo was struggling, too. Dante's lack of cursed energy made it difficult for him to predict his moves, especially when the residual ash clouds blinded him constantly. Usually, it wouldn't affect him, but his body barely functioned at this crucial point, and the girl was extremely fast, using any cover she could find to hide.
With Gojo's brain almost turned off, limitless stopped working for a second, making it so any attack could hit him. He could barely stand, let alone fight. His body was pushed to the limit, reaching the breaking point.
The world seemed to slow down, and he could see it clearly. Every detail was crystal clear, the feathers in the girl's wings, the shiny rainbow hair that framed her face., the sword that was about to kill him... Everything was in slow motion, and he could see every detail with stunning clarity.
As the sword descended towards him. The world seemed to lose color, and the room began turning completely white. Every tiny detail began disappearing. At first, it was just a tiny spot in the corner of his eye, but soon, it grew larger, spreading outwards like a ripple in a pond until everything was entirely devoured by a white nothingness, leaving behind a colorless and bleak world.
"Yo, Satoru."
Gojo heard a familiar voice in his head, feeling a jolt of nostalgia. He turned around to see his best friend standing behind him. He looked the same as he had when they were students at Jujutsu High School, with his black clothes and nihilistic smile.
Geto walked toward Gojo sitting down next to him. Without Gojo realizing it, a bench appeared out of nowhere, and he was now sitting with Geto.
Gojo, confused and surprised, muttered, "Wasn't I..." He couldn't believe what he was seeing. Was this a hallucination, a dream, or a cursed technique... No, she didn't have a drop of cursed energy, so it should be impossible.
Geto, sounding concerned, said, "What are you doing? You have been there for an entire minute without doing anything."
Gojo felt a surge of emotions, and he didn't know how to react. He was happy to see his friend, but he was also sad and angry, the memories of how they had drifted apart, how they had disagreed on their ideals, how they had become enemies, followed by his demise.
Gojo inspected himself and realized he was wearing his jujutsu high school clothes. Gojo said, "Ah, I understand now, so this is what you see before dying... So that means I failed." He sighed. "To think I'll die twice to someone without cursed energy, isn't it amusing?"
Geto replied as he drank a soda, "It is... But, Satoru, you didn't fail. You succeeded. You succeeded in protecting the world from the curses, and you succeeded in being the strongest. You succeeded in stopping me, and you can succeed in stopping her. You just need to remember, Satoru."
Gojo said, "Remember? Remember what, Geto? What do you want me to remember?"
Geto said, "I want you to remember this." He touched Gojo's forehead, and Gojo felt a surge of memories. He saw their first meeting, their first fight, their first mission. He saw their training, their bonding, their laughing. He saw their disagreements, their arguments, their conflicts. He saw their final battle, their final words, their final goodbye.
He saw everything, and he felt everything. He felt the pain, the anger, the regret. He also felt the joy, the love, the gratitude.
He opened his eyes and saw Geto's face, giving him a smile he hadn't seen in years. "Let me ask you again: are you Satoru Gojo because you are the strongest, or are you the strongest because you are Satoru Gojo?"
His eyes fixated on the ground. He took a deep breath and paused for a moment. Then, with a confident smile, he looked up and replied, "Why not both?"
Geto laughed at this, "Go there and beat that monkey for me, and if not, then I'll be waiting for you here."
Gojo joked, "Don't worry, I'm going to win then probably I'll meet you sooner or later... and really, even in the afterlife?"
Geto laughed at him while he wiped a tear of joy. "You know what my last words were."

Authors note:
Did y'all really think Dante will beat Gojo?
HAHAHA!
Damn, kenjaku isn't going to be the only one to receive backshots in Jujutsu Kaisen... At least they will have something in common after the next chapter.
(lobotomy kaisen shit, I know that 99% of you will understand it but this is for that small 1%)
