Ghost

It's been a few years now, but Sakazuki has stayed on top of feeding me and pampering me so far so today I think I'll give him a surprise. But I cant figure out what to give him. I'm going to play with Kizaru today since we are back on base for a couple months. Then I might go see some others...

Right, I forgot that to mention that I've let my fur grow out so I look like a persian with an extra mane. I had bells on my ears again and my dangling earrings become 'necklaces'. I was known island wide as Sakazuki's Devil. I was nice to most people but select few who offended me, I toy with and left them with an inch of life every time they bothered me. Boy did I scare the crap out of anyone tasked with entertaining me.

As I walk the stairs to meet Kizaru, I heard some people talking.

"Dont approach the cat, let it come to you."

"And pay attention to it subtly... If you stare at it, it wont like you."

"And pay attention to your work... Dont fall behind..."

"Dont bring anything cat related."

"Dont let his drink be empty when you're there."

"Do not under any circumstances try to amuse him."

"Dont look in his eyes..."

"Dont be loud..."

"Shh... did you hear that?"

"What?"

I poked my head to look at them and garnered all their attention... Kizaru spotted... With Aokiji and some of the employees from Sengokus office... And a newbie... I meowed and waved at them before jumping at Kizaru. When I landed in his arms, I meowed and sneered.

He dropped me and bolted while I chased him around the room. When I grew bored, I jumped onto Aokiji and yawned. The other people didnt say anything, Kizaru kept a distance from me, and the new recruit looked at me nervously but curiously. I ignored his existence before sighing and jumping down, meowing at the group to go back to work. Starting back up the stairs to Sengokus office, they trailed behind me not speaking.

At least they know to open the door for me. Sengoku hates when they knock to let me in but has accepted it because they are scaredy chickens. When I walked into the office, the newbie followed me and stood, saluting Sengoku. Sengoku was about to start yelling, but I jumped onto his desk and meowed before forcing him to stay seated while I laid in his lap.

Sengoku kept his frown before ordering the new secretary around. I was amused and waving my tail about to show it. Sengoku sighed and petted me a bit before quietly asking, "Please go easy on him."

I meowed in response, rubbing my head in his lap before going to the secretaries desk. I stared at him, waiting to see how he would react. I didnt get a chance to find out because Sakazuki came. He brought me into his arms and shook him head, "You can play later."

I meowed a grumble of complaints, but allowed it anyways. Being carried off, I stared at the secretaries eyes until the door closed. Once we were alone, I jumped onto Sakazuki's shoulder and spoke in his mind, 'I'm Salem.'

"What?" he looked at me oddly.

'My name. Its Salem,' I repeated.

He nodded, "Salem. It suits you."

I meowed, 'Do not let the other humans call me that.'

He nodded again, silently.

'What are we doing?' I asked.

"Tsuru asked to see you for a while but she couldnt find you," he smirked.

'...Forget my name! You demon spawn!' I hissed at him.

"Oh calm down, she apparently found a cat and cant seem to figure out what's wrong with it," he grumbled rubbing his ear.

[This didnt happen before...] I thought, 'What's it look like?'

"No idea what it looks like," he said and knocked on a door. We are here...

Old lady Tsuru cracked the door open before letting us in quickly... I know this smell... I KNOW THIS CAT! Dashing to the location of the cat, I pinned it and mentally yelled, 'YOU ESCAPED!'

A tiny voice called back, 'I couldnt wait to see you again!'

I sighed and started cleaning the cat, 'Look, the you of this time became the secretary today.'

I stayed on top of the white twin tailed cat as I licked all over his body and purred. He complained in loud meows, 'Dont clean me! Come on, Salem! I just found you!'

'You're dirty, love, get over it,' I licked him before rubbing my body on his.

Sakazuki and Tsuru watched as the white cat tried to lick me back and gained a pierced ear. It didnt complain but simply gave up moving. When I stopped, I stood and jumped on Sakazuki's shoulder, 'Come love.'

The white cat jumped and landed in Sakazuki's arms, staying beneath my feet. Sakazuki frowned, "I take it you know each other."

Tsuru raised an eyebrow, "I cant even touch it without it getting mad but it wouldnt stop following me. Guess it smelled the little devil on me."

I meowed, lowering my head and rubbing the corner of my lips on the white cats, 'My love.'

The white cat meowed back and did the same back to me, 'Dont leave me alone next time, please.'

Sakazuki sighed and Tsuru shook her head, "Seems you have another odd cat."

"Sigh... Great, one WASNT enough," Sakazuki said sarcastically.

I scoffed, 'Come love. I want to antagonize the human you.'

'Yes dear,' the white cat responded and waited for me to jump down before following after me.

I meowed a goodbye and escaped out the window, white cat following me. To the humans, we silently walked. But to us, the atmosphere was tense because we were talking.

'How did you get out?' I asked.

'I didnt go in the first place... It was weird, but I was a spirit thing until a few days ago when I met Tsuru,' white cat confessed.

'You could have died,' I growled.

'But I didnt... I'm sorry,' white cat said meekly.

'I'm bound to Sakazuki until his natural death. So you better be nice to him,' I growled.

'Yes dear,' white cat purred.

'Let's tease Kizaru first. It's fun to watch him run, thinking hes so fast,' I sneered amused.

As we approached the building, I paused and heard it was lunch time. Grinning, we dashed to the lunch room. White cat smirked, 'How do you want to do this?'

I jumped onto an empty table and meowed, 'Humans.'

The nearby humans came over and traded bits of food to pet me. When white cat joined me, we gained twice as much food. Garp came over and sat at the table with a grey haired young man. White cat and I stated at him before we both meowed, 'Its Grey!'

We purred and rubbed against his sides and face, making sure no other cat ever touched him again. When we finished, we went and ate our food, occasionally glancing at Grey. Garp made a snap joke so I stole his cracker pack and watched him complain but not try to get the pack back. The young man felt bad for him and gave Garp his crackers, which I stole.

When the young man tried to take them back by sliding his hand on the table, I stepped on his hand and let my claws graze his skin. I looked him in the eyes and meowed unamused. Seemingly getting the message, he pulled his hand back with a frown.

Having only the two packs of crackers left, I kept my eyes on the humans and told white cat, 'Pick one up, were leaving.'

White cat grabbed the one closest to him, Garps original one, and waited for me. I took the other pack and we left the lunch room. White asked, 'If we dont need food, why did we take it?'

'Spite. When I met Garp this time, he teased me with a cracker,' I stated and put my pack of crackers down, meowing at the door.

'But hes alive...?' white cat asked confused.

'Years of a cat taking your food and not being able to do shit about it is humiliating,' I laughed and picked up my crackers as the door opened, 'Besides, it's too mean to kill him over a cracker.'

Walking to the stairs, I stopped and looked at white cat, 'Tease Kizaru or the secretary...'

'Kizaru is exercise,' white cat said knowingly.

Up the stairs we went, our crackers never touched the ground. When we got to Sengoku's office, the new secretary let us in and I gingerly sat in my window before calling the other over, 'Come, love.'

White cat dashed to my side and put the crackers in front of me like an offering. I licked his cheek, happy with his attitude. Sengoku quietly asked, "Who did you bring?"

Leaving the crackers unattended was fine. I walked to Sengoku and called to white, having him follow me. White quietly greeted Sengoku and jumped on the table, allowing himself to be petted before going back to the crackers. I amusedly grabbed a pack and jumped onto the secretaries desk, setting down the crackers and waiting for him to open it.

The secretary opened the pack slowly and set it back down. I took the open pack and went to eat them. White repeated what I did but clawed a cracker out and left it as payment. Mad, I took whites crackers, 'We dont pay them.'

He started crying, 'I'm sorry, I didnt know... Forgive me for being stupid!'

I hissed quietly, 'Knock those crocodile tears off!'

White flinched and rolled on the ground in surrender. I wacked his head, 'Dont do it again.'

I took a cracker in my claw and passed it over to white. White took it graciously, 'Thank you love, I wont do it again.'

'Good. Now take that one back,' I meowed and stretched.

White took the cracker right out of the guys hand and ate it before laying as small as possible next to me. After finishing my crackers, I cleaned myself then started cleaning White. Bored, I jumped on the secretary. Landing on his shoulder, he froze up and glanced at me before offering a cup of tea silently. I drank the tea then sat in his lap, 'accidentally' clawing his upper thighs and getting dangerously close to his dragon.

Someone knocked. Sengoku let them in and I was lifted by the back of my neck. White panicked but froze up seeing my grin. Sakazuki sighed and put his hand out to white, "Let's go. You're bothering people in here."

White jumped into Sakazuki's hand and meowed. We were whisked off to a training facility full of people. Sakazuki cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention, before grinning, "If you can catch the little devil, you'll be promoted to captain the very second you do."

All recruits glued their eye onto me and White. Sakazuki's grin grew wider, "Use everything you have and go in pairs."

I jumped into the training area and sat down, waiting for the timer to start. White sat to the side, watching as I played with the humans. After everyone had a turn, I threw him into the training area and Sakazuki shrugged telling them to go again. White got caught once.

I thwacked the person who caught him lightly, before looking at White, 'You good?'

White meowed and came to me crying, 'That lady is so scary still...'

I glared at the woman and licked White to calm him down. Sakazuki sighed before giving the girl the day off of training and the group went back to training. The girl came over to White and I and quietly apologized, "Hina is sorry. Hina didnt mean to scare you... Please dont be mad at Hina."

Sakazuki watched with interest as I pushed White in front of her and meowed. White kept shaking and tried to back away from her so I hissed and White lightly bopped her head before backing down and waiting. When nothing happened to him, he uncovered his head and looked around. Finding everything as it was, he looked at me nervously. I sneered, 'Such a cry baby.'

"Does kitty feel better now?" the girl, Hina, asked.

White looked at her and bopped her again before hiding behind me. I waved the girl off and smacked White with my tail before walking to Sakazuki, 'She looks like his old tormentors who nearly killed him. What a cry baby.'

"What's your friends name?" Sakazuki asked but observed the scared white cat as he came over slowly, avoiding people.

'Call him Casper or Tofu,' I said amused before White came over.

'Might as well tell him to call me Cottonball or something,' White complained.

'Now now, would you rather be Boo for being a chicken shit,' I asked amused.

He meowed, 'Boo sounds better than the others.'

'Chicken shit it is,' I said with a laugh.

'Casper works, I can do that faze thing like ghosts do anyways,' White said.

"So a devil and a ghost...," Sakazuki commented.

"Your naming it ghost," a lazy voice asked.

All three of us looked at the man with a yellow suit before I grinned and Ghost puffed up in anger. Sakazuki nodded, "Ghost suits him."

I landed on Kizaru's shoulder and turned around, smacking him with my tail. Kizaru sighed, "Hes cute."

I paused and turned, thwacking his head a few times and hissing. Sakazuki pulled me back to him as Ghost cowered, his tail covering his parts. I moved so I was standing over the coward [he may be a coward but he is my coward], glaring at Kizaru. Sakazuki held back a laugh as Kizaru's broken glasses fell off his face, blood dripping down Kizaru's nose.

I cleaned my paws and started cleaning Ghosts face from his tears, 'Its been a rough day for you. Let's go home and nap.'

Ghost followed me, avoiding the pervert in a yellow suit. We made our way to the main building and jumped from window sills until we got to Sengoku's. He let us in and had the secretary let us into Sakazuki's apartment.

Ghost and I curled up on my blanket pile in the corner and cuddled.
