Chapter 94 - Hunting (1)

Before devouring the mutants, Lily made sure to dive into the minds and memories of the living mutants, and while there weren't many of them, she did gain some valuable information.

From the fragments of thoughts and memories she had extracted from the mutant minds, Lily gained valuable insight into the broader network of the mutant group.

It wasn't just about the location of some bases but also about their organizational structure, key figures, ongoing operations, and even political agendas.

She even found out more about the Brotherhood's connection to the mutant group— in fact, she had learned that they weren't the only mutant group in the Middle East that was being supported by the Brotherhood.

Some of them were working together, while others had goals of their own. A few of them were even more radical than their own group, advocating for overly aggressive tactics and mutant supremacy.

This group, on the other hand, while they still choose violent means at times, preferred to channel their hatred towards those at the top, the people in power who kept them down.

They had even infiltrated the local government— but that had nothing to do with Lily.

One of the most interesting pieces of information she had gained was a plan the Brotherhood had entrusted not only to this group but also to many of the groups around the Middle East.

This plan involved the acquisition and defense of a secret mine that contained a very rare mineral called Gravititonium.

She couldn't learn about the mineral from the mutants' memories because they did not know anything about it, but she recognized the name from her own memories.

'Gravitonium, isn't that the mineral mentioned in Agents of Shield and Captian Carter? It's a mineral that can manipulate gravity to an extent, right?'

Lily had some memories about the mineral, but she never personally bothered to research it. Everything she knew was learned from the shows she had watched, and even then, that wasn't much.

'But it is a very rare mineral nonetheless. Getting it, or even eating it, might be worth it.'

Temptation and hunger were one thing that never disappeared from Lily's mind, but even she wasn't foolish enough to make a rash decision.

'No, it would be too heavily gathered, and the Brotherhood definitely won't sit still if I do that now. It won't be too late to try after getting somewhere safe.'

Lily decided to put off the idea of raiding the mines to gain the mineral— as interested as she was in them, they would simply not be worth the risk now.

So she would wait until she was safely settled in the Savage Lands before making a move for it— if any remained.

But she wasn't worried about them mining all by the time she returned because she remembered the nature of the mineral. It was very tricky, and due to that, it was very difficult to mine— another reason it was rare.

'Regardless, 10 bases, 10 stops for food.'

Yes, she had acquired the location of 10 small bases from the minds of the mutants— these were scattered around the Middle East, but she would get them as she traveled.

She also gained the location of a few large bases as well, but she decided not to attack those for the time being.

Lily knew that the Brotherhood and the mutant group would be on alert because of her actions so far. Attacking a large base wouldn't be as easy as it was last time— even small bases might be somewhat trickier.

But she couldn't give up on the possible feast that she could acquire from the small bases.

So, without further hesitation, she sat off on her journey.

Leaving the city was easy— getting to the mainland was even easier. She could either fly, swim, or walk across the bridge if she wanted— flight was her choice in this case.

Flying under the camouflage of her abilities, she wasn't spotted at all— safely making it to the mainland of the Middle East in less than a day.

From there, she officially began her hunt.

Timeskips time.
