VULTURE[chapter 4 ]

As the day came to an end, Rala headed home, relieved that he didn't have to worry about money since the government was covering the workers who were temporarily unemployed due to the damages. He took a quick shower and changed his clothes before heading up to the rooftop to meditate and replenish his reserves.

Even though there was a party tonight, Rala couldn't be bothered to go. He needed to figure out if the space limits his scanning ability or if there could be any complications if he changed his DNA structure multiple times.

As he meditated on the rooftop, Rala was suddenly jolted out of his trance by a loud explosion. He quickly stood up and turned to his left, only to see a massive blue translucent dome that quickly evaporated. Before he could process what had happened, blue energy covered his entire body, causing his form to change into that of a cat.

Without hesitation, Rala leapt off the rooftop and onto the adjacent one, heading towards the source of the explosion. As he got closer, he could hear gunshots and shouting, indicating that there was a fight happening. He could also hear the sound of a car's engine.

Rala soon arrived at the location, which was under a bridge. Two automobiles were there, one of which was a van with its back door open. He could see Spiderman being dragged into the van. With a sigh, Rala began to chase after them to help Spiderman if he needed it.

As Rala chased after the van, he noticed that one of the men in the back of the van started to shoot Spiderman with a futuristic rifle that fired purple plasma bolts. "Should I assist him? Nah, he's got this, right?" Rala thought to himself.

After a couple of minutes of chasing the van, Spiderman was getting dragged across the street and getting hit with all sorts of things such as trashed cans and dumpsters. Eventually, he let go of the web and started to take shortcuts to catch up with the van. Rala could easily catch up with the van, but he decided to follow them to their secret lair just in case there was a bigger organization behind them.

He definitely wasn't going against a big organization since he wasn't strong enough to face any of the big bosses and, secondly, he couldn't be bothered.

Just then, Spiderman suddenly appeared from the rooftop of one of the houses on the side, shouting,

" surprise-" Spiderman was cut by a figure with metallic wings who caught Spiderman midway, as he started to fly high in the sky.

Peter's suit unexpectedly launched a parachute while he was high in the air, but he became entangled with the parachute itself, causing him to plummet into the ocean. When the flying man was going to take Peter out of the water for another round, rala abruptly bounced on him, causing the flying man to fly meters back and rala to fall into the water to help Peter with the entanglement, but they were both snatched by an iron suit.

A couple of minutes later

" and he picked me up, and took me up like a thousand feet and dropped me". Complained Peter. " how'd you find me? Did you put a tracker in my suit?" asked Peter.

"I put everything in your suite, including this heater" shot back Tony smokes came out of peters suit. " whoa, that's better, thanks," said Peter. " what were you thinking," asked Tony.

" the guy with the wings is the source of the weapons. I gotta take him down," said Peter. " taking down huh?". "Crokett, there are people who handle this sort of thing," said Tony. " the avengers," asked Peter.

" no. this is a little below their pay grade.". " anyways Mr stark, you didn't have to come out here, talking Tom and I got this, anyways, when did you get here," Peter asked rala. " since the bridge and I will drop kick you if you don't stop calling me talking tom" replied rala after shaking himself off the water, looking pissed which stunned tony.

" is it me or did this cat just talk," asked Tony who was doubting himself. " oh yeah, this is a talking cat I met like yesterday, he is super cool" Peter introduced rala who just started to walk back.

" not the weirdest thing I have seen, " said Tony who just sighed after. " dude gotta understand these guys aren't going to hold back, they will kill you if you aren't careful enough" rala warned Peter before turning around and leaving.

" See, he gets and I am not here, thanks Ganesh otherwise you will have been toasted". " he is not like me, you know he doesn't do all of this hero stuff" complained Peter.

As Rala walked back, his mind was preoccupied with two things. The first was the question of whether he should search for a dojo to improve his hand-to-hand combat skills. He knew how to defend himself against ordinary people, but he wasn't confident that he could handle a professionally trained fighter. The second was whether he should scan more animals. Earlier that day, he had discovered that he could scan animals using a blue jay, and since there were four zoos in the city, he thought it might be a good idea to add more forms to his arsenal. However, he was cautious about adding too many forms, as it could lead to an overload of information or strain his DNA structure.

Earlier that day, Rala was relaxing on the rooftop, listening to music and feeling refreshed after cleaning himself. Suddenly, he heard the sound of wings hitting each other. He assumed it was his imagination, but as the noise continued, he removed his headphones and investigated the source. To his surprise, he found a small shadow on his neighbor's window, which turned out to be a blue jay.

Rala quickly transformed into his cat form and silently crept up behind the bird. Using his scanning ability, he gained the knowledge needed to transform into a blue jay himself. With a few seconds of focus, he transformed into the bird and took off from the rooftop. The feeling of weightlessness and the freedom of flight brought Rala a sense of joy that he had never experienced before.

As Rala flew at skyscraper heights, he was unaffected by the commotion below, and the silence brought him peace. The new form had opened up new possibilities for him, and he was excited to explore more of what his abilities had to offer.
