Goose Five
Potential but the character development is bad, really bad.. Many important figures abandoned easily, and there's too many repetation on the plot. The world background is 5 star though, but with 300± chapter require a spirit stones was a direct robbery..so for u who want to read this i tell u its not worth it
I very rarely drop novels, however as I have aged and after about 7 years reading light novels and web novels I no longer have the energy nor the patience to slog through poorly written stories with very little logical consistency of the story WITHIN its OWN rules. When the story breaks rules of our world its fine, but when characters are poorly written, or just not written at all with zero motivation or reasoning skills then it makes no sense. Also as a biomed major i can safely tell you that fucking penicillin is not the be all end all this guy makes it out to be and using it in the inexperienced and retarded way he does will lead to most bacteria becoming immune to it within less than 10 years and causing the bacteria to be even harder to deal with as a result which leads to my main gripe. THE MAIN CHARACTER KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT SCIENCE, THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD, or the author has no background in the sciences or medicine in general. The poorly written way the author speaks about plant life, medicine creation and the making of penicillin, which is completely retarded the way he uses it BTW, infuriates me on a base level. Also the coincidences and logical assumptions and leaps that the main character does and comes across make NO GOD DAMN SENSE.
Considering how much this novel now costs if you want to stay caught up (3 releases a day is about 20$ a month) the translation quality should really be a lot better. If I spent that much on a book, I would expect there to be no spelling or grammar errors. Unfortunately this novel is filled with them, even the more recent chapters have lots of mistakes such as misspelled words, missing spaces, extra letters, even using the wrong word (tampering instead of tempering)... All in all, I enjoy this novel, but the translation quality is really dragging it down, and it's certainly not worth 20$ a month at its current quality.
I am dropping this novel now Why because I have reading it until chapter 710 and the story is all over the place no conclusion in each arc just moving from plane to plane to offend man immortal and save beauty And what's more frustrating is he save many beauty just to abandoned her later. The reason is the MC is in love with a woman who doesn't appreciate the MC kindness, she is so selfish, and later betrayed the MC. Are you fucking kidding me... ha so hurt just to read this novel so long and ended in frustrating way . Author thanks for writing this story but I'm dropping it.
This is a pretty cliche martial arts fantasy story. Everyone is arrogant and willing to kill if you look at them funny. The main character runs around without any real plans but still crushes all enemies because he's luck incarnate. Every problem is solved when he gets a cheat item, secret technique, etc. Very unrealistic and boring.
I really can not take this novel anymore. It started of interesting with a good premise, but after the protagonist became a wordy immortal it went to hell. Pros: -Good start -Not bad world background -Acceptable yet very quick translation Cons: -Repetitive (Every arc the same things happen like how he somehow becomes in charge of the new settinghe goes to like as a commander (Later Starland, etc.), even though he has no substantial qualification) -Like most authors in quidian this novel is forgetful, as sooner or later all side characters get ditched (Literally other than a re birthed love interest, there are no characters from the past) -Plotholes galore (I'm not gonna go to deep into, but things that are clearly very difficult and take the protagonists new reincarnation planet thousands of years are done easily by random people the protagonist meets. E.g. The original continent has only true gods after millions upon millions of people in thousands of years, yet some random guy that was the only cultivator in a random plant became an earth immortal. It's so inconsistent and this is just one of the minor plot holes) Overall, this is just another poorly written xianxia with irrational characters (Million year old grand emperor has the logic of a silk pants), bad writting (It's literally more Repetitive than Shakespeare , a guy who wrote the same novel every 4 weeks) , and just is a waste of time because the protagonist will clearly fall into a lope. It does have some touching moments, but it's all turned to dust because of the authors lack of skill. P.S. the lazt straw on the camels back for me was when there were hints of their being powerful immortals emerging from Earth. This is total bs because what are the chances of them coming upon lightning as well for the miridian cultivation. Let alone somehow create a path as heaven defyingly lucky as the mc, with a small population in a destute planet. (I can currently make this assumption because the author showed in a recent chapter that the girl the betrayed the mc was beautiful after 200 years and some immortal reverend has earth language(Which if the authors says is because of luck it would be even more bs).
The story in its parts is decent and fine (yes, i'm using multiple mediocre terms to express); but be ready to realize that the ending is very disappointing with a lot of holes and incomplete parts in the story. On the whole a disappointingly entertaining novel with a character who still really has no clue as to what his dao is but the universe validates it and makes him super sage (cause he's the MC and the "author says so").
