Chapter 14

Its been three days now, since we completeld her memorable book abd she didn't call or text me on where to meet next, we only spoke on phone today telling me she is at the hospital and if I'm done at work today I should come over before heading home.

Perhaps she must have started to feel pain and her time is exceeding from this world.

I sighed painfully trying not to think about that but it hurts.

I told her I wont be able to make it today, but I promise to come over the next day but she insisted I come. "Alright" i replied with the thought of anytime can be the last and I don't want it being a regret. "I would be on my way soon" I said "really, I'm waiting" she seems happy over the phone.

.......Time skipped.....

I arrived at the city hospital, I once came to get treatment and found her book about her disease is the same hospital she is being treated in. If that's so, then that day she was checked on too. She wasn't lying after all.

I walked in to the receptionist and asked her which room she's been treated and I was told. "Room 306"

"Thanks" I headed there right away. I wanted to knock and enter but I felt my heart harden. I don't want to see her unhappy and weak in pain, but to get over it. I exhaled and inhale before knocking and entering.

I froze that instance when I saw her dancing close to the window. A slight smile surpass my lips. Indeed she's better than i thought she would be. She turns still dancing but paused when she saw me standing by the open door, she screamed in embrassed and ran to lie on the bed, covering her face under the blanket.

"Sorry," I apologize chuckling and taking a seat by the bedside close to her. "What happened?" I asked

She bought down the blanket and stared at me then rolled her eyes before sittinh up resting and her back on the wood of the bed. "I guess, after that day we had fun, I thought It would be my last, i got home and collapsed right on the floor I couldn't move even an inch from that spot. If mum and dad weren't arround i wouldn't be here talking to you today" she said and i felt a sharp pain in my abdominal. "My breath was harden. I couldn't speak and immediately I was rushed here and was attended, Sorry I didn't tell you. Its been three days now."

I shook my head negatively. "I knew something might have happened to you. How do you feel now? what did you say to your friend" I asked.

"I told her that I went for an appendix operation, that's all" she answered with a shrug.

"Are you good with that?" I asked with the thought of it being a bad idea and she nodded.

"I just had too, I don't want her to know or she would be crazy than she is right now. I'm scared to tell her" she said leaving the bed and walking towards the window where she stood dancing before I came in.

"I've been here for three days and I feel like I've been here for so long. I miss so much of the outside world I just wished to be finally discharged and return home. You see, I met you as a stranger who saved my life but we ended up becoming friends. You might not want to believe but that's the true fact. You need friends to cuddle you. I can't change you, but you can change yourself into a better person not a misanthropist people see you as." She says and turned to me.

"Seth, can you stand up?" She ask and I stood up. "I don't know how to thank you but.." She hugged me. "Thank you for always being by my side and for coming even when you have things to do. I really appreciate."

"It's okay, I'm happy too" I tired to smile so she won't know how hurt I am and how much I want us to stay like this for a very long time. She has always make me smile since the very day we met but all I did was try to push her away but she didn't all the time.

Sasha then banged in and we both moved away immediately like some untruth fellows. She glared at me and turned to April. "April what are you doing with him? hugging him?" she asked nudging me out of the way and eye balled me.

April seems to have noticed her reactions towards and to try to distract her, she dramatical threw her hands in the air and said. "Oh dear, I missed you so much, I get lonely anytime am alone" she hugged her tight giving a sign to leave with a wave. I nodded and quickly left shutting the door behind as I heard Sasha asking her what she was doing?

Its funny that she enjoy my company despite my weird looks. I chuckle cause it makes me laugh at times. I walked out of the hospital and blindly bumped in to Rebecca.

"Rebecca!" I called in dismay.

"Seth, what you doing here?" She inquire

"Came to see someone one. What about you?"

"Master asked me to get him some pain killer from the pharmacy, so I came this way."

"Oh okay, see you then" I articulate and turns to leave bur she held my hand. "Wait, did something happen between you and Michael?" She enquire.

I liberate my hand out of her clasp "I doubt, if anything happens. I'm fine but he tries to pick a fight which I'm trying to obviate." I said and walked out. If that was what she desires to hear. I've told her and I'm gone.

(Prose mood)

Rebecca wonders what might have happened between him and Michael, 'what is Michael up too trying so hard to pick a fight with Seth'. She hurried to get masters drugs and returned to the restaurant with grave anger on Michael. She stumped in and almost frightened him.

"Rebecca, you could-"

"Hold it right there Michael. What is getting at you, why are you always trying to pick a fight with seth. What has he done to you?" She sparks in anger.

"If you are talking about that slut then its up to you"

"Yes call him what ever it is Michael, Seth doesn't need you. He need someone better to call a friend."

"Friend! Tsst, Rebecca what are you even saying?" He asked in cold heartedness

"Is it because he cooks better than you, and everyone tend to enjoy his dish then you have lost and i tell you this. Don't come crying" she said dropping master drugs and walking out in anger.

"Curse you Michael. Curse yo___" she cried as she erroneously bumped into Jamie. "Sorry" she quickly apologized.

"Are you okay?" He asked placing his hands on her shoulder leaning to see her face as she hides it away behind her fallen hair.

Jamie and Rebecca have been friends since Seth got employed into the restaurant so he could tell if something is up with both her and Seth.

"No, I'm fine, thank you" she replied about to walk away he stopped her. "Is Seth in there?" He asked but she shook her head wiping her tears.

"No, is he okay?" she asked in concern for him.

"I haven't seen him and his not at his apartment." He said as she rooted thinking maybe something might have happen to him.

"The last time I saw him was at the hospital saying he came to see some one. I just wish Seth would live the past in the past and look over at those who love him"

"You mean he should stop being a misanthropist?"

"What ever it is. Seth is really a good man which if he sits to know how many people need him. He wouldn't have isolated him self."

"I wish he could just listen... Anyway" Jamie suspire standing up from the bench they sit on under a street light.

"Where are you going?" She asked. She was actually enjoying his company. "I think he has someone who likes and admires him, no matter what" he says

"You mean that girl?"

"You got it. I noticed that too, anyway he would be fine. Its getting cold. Let me walk you home." He offered.

She smiled. "Sure, thank you" she stood up and followed him as they walk side by side.
