Yan headed out of the Mercenary Guild with a smile on his face, he got a mercenary Steel certification card.

As for his rank ? It was F;the process was easy not much really takes place when you go to the mercenary guild.

As for how it went for Yan?He walked in and greeted the young pretty lady who had purple hair and flirted a bit complimenting how nice her hair is and made small talk however he was turned down by the lady due to thinking he was a woman.

It was something he was used to so he paid no mind moving on and paid his 1 silver coin and showed his status screen.

Overall despite two good attributes he was still considered F rank due to majority stats.

'Twenty years ago I didn't get to participate in the raid due to still being in training to be a solider but I still remember the stories of when one of the top 10 weapons 'April' appeared.

This weapon alone brought the Lance household to the level of a duke!

From what I remember everyone who survived partaking in the raid said that after the first four hundred people stepped into the corrupted land they all fell dead in a single second however from four hundred and one no one else died so the baron ignored it and continued with the invasion.

Then when they finished and killed the boss monster who was a B rank and they were heading back at the entrance all the bodies were gone and only the blood red April was there.

So as long as I go before the person who was four hundred and one then I can pretend to be dead as well and take April!'

Yan was extremely happy at the moment when he saw a job that was posted on the Commission wall,it was exactly what he was looking for so he registered with no second thoughts.

Two days.

In two days Baron Lance would raid the Corrupted land.

He had two days to gather strength using his 'edit system' and This would be one of his first steps to his success.

Yan headed to dungeon free to new mercanarys and adventures,it was only an F rank but that was good enough he needed somewhere he could hunt monsters.

Yan wasn't one afraid of curruption raids as it was something he was used to invading even if he was never on the front lines of it.

So with little thoughts he made a decision after he got April he would head to the front lines and collect more souls to 'edit' himself.

He wanted to change and the raid was the perfect place to make a real debut.

Curruption raids were raids on pieces of land where dungeons broke out and corrupted the land.

This meant that the monsters took over the land and would start to procreate where in dungeons they would never;their mana would also spread on the land making it highly poisonous to regular humans due to being infected by Corrupted Mana of course being stronger would help you resist the poison but you'd be effected by it forever until the boss monster is defeated and you get a Bishop or higher ranked church memeber to purify the land.

Dungeons and Corrupted Land were classified by letters to signify how dangerous they were.

The rankings were F,E,D,C,B,A and S,SS,SSS and EX rank.

F-A rank could be considered easy dungeons since humanity definitely could take care of them no matter the circumstances however

S-SSS dungeons were the ones to look out for.

This was due to the fact that if they outbreak and Currupt land it'd likely be the end of the state(S),Country (SS) and continent (SSS) and all human life that wasn't strong enough would end.

EX was immeasurable simply meant the end of the world.

There had never been a case of an Ex dungeon yet even 20 years into the future there wasn't an EX rank dungeon.

The same rankings applied to mercanarys,adventures,knights and Mages,but after S rank it was the top 1000.

This was all possible by the status screens we all had,it had two functions.

One would show how strong you were physically,amount of mana and quality of mana which would then be considered by guilds and they would assign a rank.

The other was showing the global top 1000.

The 1000-500 were all in between the rank of S- to S+,of course this was not official but rather something that was like an unanimous

agreement. This was because while they were all S ranks they weren't equal in face value strength.

This carried forward to all other ranks as well,top 499-150 was SS- to SS+ And finally 150 and above were all SSS.

The top 1000 wasn't necessarily a sign of who's stronger in a fight but measured by who has more Mana as well as the quality of mana,and overall physical strength.

Which meant even if you were number 500 you could still die to number 1000, if number 1000 was the better fighter and knew your weaknesses,being the stronger didn't mean you really were guaranteed to win.

There was a case when the former number one died to the number three hundred.

He was hired to assassinate her 18 years ago near the time I was born,it's a story told till this day how strength didn't matter if you aren't a good fighter it was a shocking eecbebt.

Not a lot of details were known about the battle but the previous number one who was a mage,Eri Kryen,13th Empress ended up dying in the battle against the assassin and soon after a huge battle would happen between all nearby kingdoms teaming up to take down the Kyren empire,splitting everything up and going their separate ways.
