Chapter 52: Teacher VS Disciple

Uchiha Natsu's wooden avatar retreated using the blink technique, creating a distance from Uzuki Yugao. Mockingly, it acknowledged Uzuki Yugao's proficiency in swordsmanship but declared her current level insufficient to be considered a worthy opponent.

Uzuki Yugao maintained a serious gaze, knowing the difficulty of facing mokuton and feeling the pressure from the exceptionally hard wooden stick.

Unfazed, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone challenged Uzuki Yugao to reveal her true skills. Ignoring the taunts, Uzuki Yugao adhered to the principle of maintaining silence on the battlefield to avoid exposing any weaknesses.

Undeterred, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone formed hand seals and raised its right hand, invoking the Art of the Great Forest. In an instant, Uchiha Natsu's avatar disappeared, leaving behind a piece of wood. Suddenly, it reappeared behind Uzuki Yugao, swiftly striking with a wooden stick that twisted towards her.

However, the face of Uzuki Yugao turned into a puff of smoke. The wooden cloud turned around, revealing four identical Uzuki Yugao clones. Realizing that the previous opponent was a shadow clone, Uchiha Natsu found the situation amusing. Despite the confusion, Uzuki Yugao pressed forward with an attack using her shadow clones.

Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone closed its eyes, seemingly uninterested in the illusion. The true Uzuki Yugao, however, had concealed herself underground, observing the battlefield without being noticed.

Three wooden clones, each focusing on a different task, surrounded Uzuki Yugao. One engaged Kakashi and Moonlight Hayate, another dealt with an Anbu Jōnin, and the third observed Uzuki Yugao from the trunk of a tree.

Meanwhile, Uzuki Yugao couldn't help but feel perplexed as the wooden clone closed its eyes. She speculated whether the strange tactic was a display of confidence in resisting her attacks using only hearing.

Suddenly, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone initiated the Art of Wood Escape, turning into wood and descending to the ground. Simultaneously, tree roots emerged, entangling Uzuki Yugao's ankles. Three out of four Uzuki Yugao clones were ensnared, leaving only one to escape the entanglement.

Observing from below, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone closed its eyes, seemingly confident in withstanding Uzuki Yugao's attacks. Uzuki Yugao, however, prepared her counterattack by creating nine shadow clones.

Executing the Shadow Clone Technique, ten Uzuki Yugao figures surrounded the wooden clone, brandishing their Katana. Unfazed, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone, with eyes still closed, formed hand seals.

Suddenly, the wooden clone descended into the ground, and tree roots entangled three Uzuki Yugao clones, leaving only one free to react. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Uzuki Yugao deftly used the substitution technique to escape the ensnarement.

Realizing the effectiveness of wood escape ninjutsu in a forested environment, Uzuki Yugao assessed the situation. She planted her Katana in the ground, forming hand seals for another technique.

Executing the Art of Fire Escape, Uzuki Yugao and her shadow clones expelled ten massive fireballs. In response, Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone, emerging from the ground, aimed tree roots at Uzuki Yugao.

Despite the fireballs seemingly engulfing the wooden avatar, it emerged unharmed, while the trees within tens of meters were reduced to ashes. Uzuki Yugao recognized the swift progress in her abilities but remained vigilant.

Satisfied with the outcome, Uchiha Natsu's main body, observing the battle, acknowledged Uzuki Yugao's advancement to the level of a special Jōnin. With the wooden clone's chakra significantly depleted, Uchiha Natsu decided to conclude the battle. He signaled the wooden clones to retreat, and Kakashi, Moonlight Hayate, and Uzuki Yugao were left to ponder the unexpected turn of events.
