Chapter 53: As expected of my disciple

"As expected of my disciple," Uchiha Natsu's main body, concealed within the trees, couldn't help but laugh in amazement at the unfolding scene. Distinguishing between the shadow clone and the main body without Sharingan was a daunting task, yet with Uchiha Natsu's current pupil power, utilizing Sharingan would easily expose the shadow clone.

The release of three wooden clones left only the Uchiha Natsu clone, which turned to face Kakashi. "Your strength is far from being my prey," declared Uchiha Natsu's wooden avatar with a condescending tone. "Silver-haired brat, you were in a bad state just now. I will find you again, and I hope that by then you will be able to use your full power."

Kakashi was taken aback. This formidable opponent could discern his problem. Akira Senju became the first among Kakashi's adversaries over the years to recognize the insufficiency of his Chakra state. In Kakashi's estimation, Senju Akira's strength reached a new level.

After Uchiha Natsu's wooden clone delivered his message, it transformed into a few wooden sticks, seamlessly blending into the surrounding trees. A heavy thump echoed as Kakashi, unable to hold back any longer, knelt on the ground, his legs giving way beneath him. Panting heavily, sweat dripped down his forehead.

Naoto and Hayato, who had been observing from the sidelines, rushed over. Hayato supported Kakashi, while Naoto attempted to untie the wooden sticks ensnaring Moonlight Hayate. However, despite their efforts with kunai, the wooden sticks proved unyielding.

Uzuki Yugao emerged from the ground, approaching Hayate. Moonlight Hayate, entangled like a silkworm chrysalis, felt embarrassed as Yugao effortlessly cut through the wooden sticks with a single swipe of her sword. Naoto, accustomed to such displays, remained numb to the spectacle.

As Kakashi recovered, he looked at Yugao Uzuki in surprise. He knew Uzuki Yugao as a recent graduate, paying attention to her due to Natsu Uchiha. Unexpectedly, this seemingly average girl possessed a powerful hidden talent.

Several figures appeared beside Kakashi: "Swish, swish, swish." The arrival of the Third Hokage and others marked a significant moment. Hiruzen Sarutobi surveyed the battlefield, his expression growing serious in response to the extraordinary destructive power displayed.

Concerned about the situation, Hokage turned to Moonlight Hayate with a gloomy expression. Moonlight Hayate, unsure of the details, hesitated before responding, "Master Hokage, I don't know what happened before. When we arrived, Kakashi-senpai had been fighting several masked ninjas for a long time."

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned, "Masked ninja? From Stone Or Cloud?"

"No," Moonlight Hayate shook his head, coughing twice, "It's a ninja who uses wood escape."

"What?!"

"What?!"

The exclamations echoed in response to the shocking revelation. Hiruzen Sarutobi contemplated the scale of the battlefield, deeply disturbed.

"Could it be Danzo?" Hiruzen Sarutobi voiced the troubling possibility that the wooden ninja responsible for the immense power displayed might be affiliated with Danzo.

"Danzo has disappeared since the beginning of the war. I don't know what to do. He has been coveting the position of Hokage. If he did it..."

Hiruzen Sarutobi's heart raced as ominous thoughts took root. He looked at the unconscious Kakashi, then, calming himself, he issued a directive, "Go back first and treat the wounded."

"Yes."

Moonlight Hayate and the others saluted, escorting Kakashi and the wounded back with Hokage and the advisors. Meanwhile, Uchiha Natsu, having returned to the Uchiha clan, contemplated recent events and interactions, recognizing the potential for the Uchiha clan's resurgence and his role in guiding them to a stronger future.
