Naruto who just heard of Menma's past (up till Minato died last chap) was really surprised.
'There is no way that he died, with hiraishin no one can stop him if he wants ro run... must either be Danzo's doing or Hiruzen gave him a secret mission... Dumb old fossils... sigh~'
"So... care to tell me how you know what a Zanpakuto is dad?" Naruto questions Minato
"Aha~ha. Well... the uzumakis had a pact with some shinigamis..."
"And how doe you know uzumaki clan secrets?" Naruto's gaze makes Minato shiver involuntary
"I... Kushina gav-"
"No she did not! you stole uzumaki clan secrets so now as the current uzumaki clan leader i demand compensation!" Naruto says
"sigh~. What do you want?" Minato relents. it was hus fault afterall...
"Pass all your techniques to me using memory transfer. since you are in my mindscape you can do it right?" Naruto smirks
"You... you got me there, i tought you were really mad for a second... fine i agree" Minato smiles, Menma also did something like that, but instead of clan secrets Menma discovered his secret book stash...

After a while and lots of jutsus transferred later, Minato's soul fragment start to dissipate
"You know dad... even though i never knew you, i still think you were a great hokage... i promise to find Menma and scold him in your stead, ok?" A teary eyed Naruto said to the dissipating Minato.
Minato put his hand on Naruto's head while smiling
"I am sorry for not being there for you two, me and Kushina sacrificed more than we wanted, but in the end, if we got to save you two, it was all whort it. I doesn't matter how you will live your life, We will always love you... Send my regards to Menma when you see him..." As Minato finishes his words, he disappears, and at the same time, Naruto fails to hold back his tears...
After some time, Naruto got control over his emotions again.
[You alright Kit?]
"Yeah... let's finish the things that i have to do, so i can wake up already..." As Naruto says that, he tore the seal away, freeing Kurama, A rush of chakra envelopes him, both in the real world and in the mindscape Naruto is envelopes by Kurama's chakra, up to 5 tails, Kurama quickly retracts his chakra and starts to strech his limbs.
[Feels good to be free again]
"Nice, now we just need to find a way to get your other half back..."
[Kit, try infusing your eyes with chakra]
"Huh? why?"

Naruto ia confused, but infuses chakra to his eyes nonetheless.
As he does this, his eyes turn into glowing gloden vertical slits, in the dark mindscape hus eyes are quite eye-catching, no pun intended.
"This... a dojutsu?"
[It seems to be a mutation on your bloodline because of you having high exposure to my chakra since you were born...] Theorized Kurama
"Cool, ill call it Kyugan then. I will nees to test it's capabilities later..."
[When you were fighting that guy, who i assume was your brother, you pointed you palms to him screame shinra something and he got flung away]
"Shinra? maybe... {Shinra tensei}" As Naruto finishes his words, a repulsive force pushes Kurama back a bit, as Naruto didn't put much chakra into it.
"I see... that is definitely useful... Anyway, i should wake up already, my team must be freaking out right now... or not"
Naruto says while he starts to disappear from his mindscape
Naruto wakes up and the first thing he sees is... nothing, there is something covering his eyes.
"ugh..." Hearing Naruto is awake someone takes the silk from his eyes. When Naruto sees who it is he gets confused...
"Shikamaru? what are you doing here? wait where am i?"
"sigh~, You are inside a hollowed tree that we found, I'm here because we saw your team getting destroyed and when we were about to help you did... 'that'. Also..." Shikamaru explains to Naruto what happened after he passed out.
Naruto was out for a day, leaving his team beaten up with him unconsious would not let team 10 with peace of mind.
So they decided to stay there, luckly the scroll they needed was with the sound nin team, after a while team 9 went out after Lee could stand again and team 8 is just outside helping to guard them... also Naruto was really surprised after hearing what happened next.
When Naruto broke the seal Kurama's chakra flowed out of him, freaking almost everyone there. Some time later it went back into his body, Shikamaru as he knows what a jinchurikki is was more surprised that Naruto was one. The other were scared, surprised, confused, things like that.
"So i must have given them the scare of their lives, huh..." Naruto stands up, albeit with difficult, and walks out of the tree, he sees Sakura and Sasuke had woken up as well.
'Good. At least we can go to the tower right now it seems'
Naruto looks at the right. He sees Hinata looking at him and struggling on whether to try to talk with him or not, Kiba looks at him and grins
"Looks like i had to save your butt this time Naruto"
Shino as usual doesn't talk anything.
"In your dream Kiba, In your dreams..."
Naruto looks at his left, he sees Choji with a bruised face and Ino looking at him strangely. He walks up to Choji to ask what happened to him but Choji freaks out at this.
"DONT GET NEAR ME, YOU ARE THE DEMON FOX THAT MY FATHER TOLD ME ABOUT!" Choji grew up hearing his father curse the 'demon fox' for taking his loved ones from him and thought that he was talking about Naruto.
Naruto doesn't respond to this and uses a basic mystical palm jutsu on Choji, healing his bruised face.
Naruto walks away leaving behind a stunned Choji, he looks at Naruto walking away as Shikamaru approaches him
"Are you okay?" Shikamaru knows that Naruto is not the fox, but its prision in a way. But he also knows that this kind of misunderstanding is really easy to happen and must hurt Naruto greatly hearing his friend calling him a demon.
"I'm fine Shika, just need to walk a bit... my legs are sore" Naruto answers with a straight face, that could fool anyone but one person. Hinata brings foward a courage never before seen on her as she hugs Naruto and says
"Naruto-kun is not a demon, and please stop keeping all that sadness to yourself. It's okay to cry but you can't bottle you feelings up like that!" she surprisingly didn't stutter once during this entire sentence.
Naruto widens his eyes, he did not notice when but he started tearing up. all the things that happened to him up till now, he did not notice but he was really close to snapping because of accumulated stress, mostly caused by the sudden information of Menma and all of the waking up and fighting till passing out, he did not notice it, but Hinata did
'woman's intuition... what a scary thing it is...'

"Thanks, Hinata. I really needed that" Naruto gives his, now really rare, genuine smile towards Hinata, short-circuiting her, as she thinks about what she just did, her faces takes a new level of red.

"Was worried about you? He is our friend Choji, how would you feel if i called you a demon for something that you did not do?" Shikamaru walks off to prepare to go to the tower leaving behind a stunned Choji
Choji walks closer to Naruto and says
"Lo-Look Naruto, I'm sorry. i didn't knew what to do..." before Choji talks more about it Naruto just turns and as he is leaving he says
"Don't be. I'm used to it already." Everyone can see the sadness in these words, Naruto walks away while sighing.
After walking for a while Naruto hears the sound of a bear and a scream for help.
He quickly goes in that direction and sees a bear about to crush someone, he flickers on top of the bear eith a rasengan in hands and slams it on the bear's head, instantly killing it.
'well that felt good, i needed to take out some steam i guess...'
Naruto looks at the person he just saved.
"Hey are you okay? were are your teammates?" Naruto asks Karin who is looking at him with shining eyes.
"I-I'm f-fine, my teammates didn't return yet, it's been a while now..." Karin answers without taking her eyes off Naruto.
"They could have been killed, you should return to the tower just to be sure, a beautiful girl like you should not be in the middle of the forest defenseless..." Naruto says it as in 'with no one defending you' but by Karin sloppy expression he can guess were her mind wandered to.
'great, a pervert'

'I guess i am judging their rarity by my previous life standards...'
"My team and a friend's team are going to the tower now, if you want we can take you there. Then you can ask for your teammates there. What do you think?"
"I WOULD LOVE TO!" Karin shouts startling Naruto, but he quickly recover as he says
"Okay then, follow me"
Naruto starts to walk back to where his friends and teammates are.

As Naruto gets back with a girl in toll, Shikamaru looks at him with a raised eyebrow, Kiba looks stunned as he asks himself
'how did he get a girl in just five minutes?'
Hinata is staring at Karin as if wanting to examine every cell of her body.
"Hey guys this is... i didn't ask your name before did i? Well she lost her teammates and we will help her reach the tower" Naruto says as he remembers that he has not asked Karin for her name yet.
"My name is Karin, Uzumaki Karin. Please take care of me!" Karin says while bowing slightly.
""UZUMAKI??"" everyone but Naruto asks surprised, albeit Shikamaru was less exaggerated on his reaction.
"Eek! i-is th-there something wrong?" Karin asks startled
"Nah its just that you have the same clan name as me" Naruto answers as if it was unsurprising that there was other uzumakis out there...
"What? my clan was not destroyed completely! there can still be other out there, well since uzumakis were konohas allies we should report to the hokage to see if she can stay in konoha. If we could find some more survivors we could even recreate the clan from scratch..." Naruto ponders out loud.
"Ah by the way do you guys got the 2 scrolls as well? Naruto asks Hinata who instantly gets red by the proximity as steam starts to get out of her ears, as she can't speak coherently anymore Shino answers Naruto's question by showing the 2 scrolls to him.
"Okay then lets head to the tower, the faster we get there the more resting time we will have" Naruto's words make the others eyes shine, every single one of them has gone through a lot in this exam. they all need a good rest, Naruto especially need some time to get used to his own changes.

SIDE STORY: Menma and Itachi's first meeting
Itachi's POV
It's been a while since i 'defected' konoha and joined the akatsuki... me and my partner Kisame are on a mission to retrieve a certain prisioner from a small ninja village, i don't know why the akatsuki accepted this request, it seems way too simple, something else is at play. Maybe some big shots are the ones imprisioned? not that it matters anyway, in front of my eyes any trick is useless.
We were heading to the place were the prisoner was when suddenly my 'Brotherly senses' went astray.
I look left and right until i see a crimson haired young man doing the same,
"You..." is all i could say, i never saw anyone with such passion as me in this life, it reflects in his eyes just how much he loves his brother, as if it is the one light in a world of darkness.
"You, how could it be?" He asks back, seemingly as surprised as me. We start walking towards eachother with serious expressions on our faces

Kisame looks at Itachi surprised, he never saw such serious expression on his face, the usually stoic faced uchiha seems to deem the red head as someone on his own level.
Kisame takes a battle instance ready for anything as Itachi and the man are in front of eachother, they raise their hands, Kisame grips the handle of Samehada prepared to launch a attack as soon as he sees an opening. Their hands start to go down, cold sweat start to go down Kisame's forehead and then...
""MY MAN"" they both shake hands causing Kisame to trip on air and fall on his own face 'what... just what happened?' Kisame asks himself but cannot come to an answer...
That day a strong bond of fellow bro-cons was formed and as funny as it was, they would shake the world as they are the most powerfull shinobis of their clans, or what is left of them anyways...
