13 -=Who is Menma?=- rewritten

As soon as Naruto passed out, he found himself inside his mindscape.

"Kurama? why am i here? And you are?" Naruto asks Kurama, but when he sees that there is someone at the side of his seal his attention immediately shifts.

"Hum? Me? I am a manifestation of your spirit in the form of a weapon, Shinigamis call us Zanpakuto, My name is Uzuryu"

"Oh... wait, why can i hear your name clearly now, but before i couldn't?"

"That should be because i was still forming, but i am not sure myself..."

[I must say Kit, you just HAD to fight a seal master, didn't you? After that guy healed you he sealed away your chakra for some reason...]

"Oh... well... my bad luck aside, Why am i here?" Naruto finally asks the 1 million dollars question

[I have no idea] Kurama is clueless

"That would be because you used all of your reiatsu in a stupid manner... If you had done this under normal circumstances you would be dead right now" Uzuryu saves the day

"Im sorry that i didn't MAGICALLY learn how to use a energy that i never used before... And what do you mean by 'normal circumstances'? why didn't i die then?" Naruto without ANY mockery answers, and then asks again

"I suppose... You aren't under normal circumstances as you have strangelly high reiatsu recharge rates, it may be because of your soul fusion i guess..."

[Kit, can you just deal with this seal already?]

"Oh... Sure" Naruto finally remembers that his chakra was sealed, He undoes the seal on it, and marvels at its structure.

"That guy was truly a genius in sealing... to think you could use this to make the seal more efficient..."

After Naruto is done nerding about the seal, he turn to Kurama

"Since i am already undoing seals, why don't i break yours as well?"

[Kit... you sure?]

"Why not?" Naruto answers as he approach the seal, When his hand is centimeters away from the seal... A hand grabs Naruto's hand, he turns his head just to meet a stern gaze, he tears up and says

"It's nice to finally meet you... Father"

He turns and hugs Minato that looks confused that Naruto was not controlled by the Kyuubi

"Just why were you trying to open the seal?" Minato hugs Naruto back but he still needs to ask this, just to confirm.

Naruto explains to Minato about his friendship with Kurama and that he was opening the seal by his own will, Minato looks at the kyuubi with suspicion clear on his face, but when he looks at the man that is at the side of the seal his eyes widen

"Z-Zanpakuto? But how?" Minato asks almost losing his balance

"How do you know what a Zanpakuto is dad? " Naruto asks with confusion clear on his face, but before Minato can answer Uzuryu does

"Interesting... Someone that had his soul sealed by a shinigami... to think that such person could seal a piece of his own soul without the shinigami even noticing... interesting indeed"

Before Naruto can say anything Minato asks a question that caughts Naruto completelly off guard

"By the way Naruto, hows Menma doing? Did he get over our death or is he still blaming himself?" Minato asks with a sad look on his face, which quickly changes to shock as Naruto asks

"Who's Menma?"

Flashback

Konoha

A little boy with crimson red hair that has golden tips is running from something with a terrified look on his face

"MEEEEEEEEEENMAAAAAAAAAAAA" The voice of his mother gets closer and closer and Menma's despair grows bigger and bigger.

"No i cant get caught or she will ground me for a entire year this time" Menma infuses more chakra on his feet to bring his speed up, this will hurt his foot but its better than dealing with a angry mom.

But its all for naugh, Kushina caugh up with him but the scolding that he tough that would Plague his nightmares never came, he opens his eyes to see Kushina smirking at him 'Damn it, I got tricked'

"My little genius got better at escaping" Kushina hugs Menma in a way that no living beign could escape, the infamous hug of a proud mother.

"Kushina you are spoiling him too much, do you have any idea what his prank did this time? it will take at least two days for me to finish all the paperwork that he gave me" Menma looks at his dad a little ashamed but his mother just looks at Minato smiling and says

"I dont care what he did or how much work he gave you, that prank was awesome" Kushina said enthusiastically

'good thing mom is as much of a prankster as me or i would be done for...'

"Like that?" Asks a older Menma to Minato

"Yes now you just need to place chakra in it and when you try to feel the space around you it will be like a beacon that will make it easier to you to find its location" Minato explains how to finish Menma's own Hiraishin (FTG) mark, his son never fails to make him proud, if only he was not such a prankster...

Menma is currently learning seals with Kushina, as a Uzumaki he aways found seals a interesting subject, he even started experimenting on his own with them and when Kushina saw that she started bragging to her friend Mikoto how much of a genius her son was, Menma was at the same age as Mikoto's son, Itachi. If Itachi's talent could make him a genius, Menma's talent could make him a monster.

"Mom but why do we need to place this connection in the seal? don't both of this parts connect with eachother just fine?" Menma asks

"As expected you noticed it, but no we can't remove it or the seal would end imbalanced because of-" Kushina explains the inner works of the seal to Menma, they aways spend more time together as Minato is very busy because of his hokage position.

Konoha's forest, October 10th

"Man, I'm so nervous... how will he look like? will he have red hair like mom? yellow hair like dad? maybe a mix between them like me? will he also have whiskers like me? so many questions but no answers"

Menma is currently in the forest walking as he was too nervous to be close to the place were his little brother was going to be born at.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM*

Menma looks at the direction of the explosion and his face pales.

"The kyuubi!! MOM!" Menma teleports to the Hiraishin mark he left closer to the birth place

Appearing in a red flash Menma doesn't even look at konohas direction and runs at full speed to the place. As he enters the place he pales even further, despair almost drowing his conscious as he looks between the dead bodies on the floor.

"WAIT! Mom's body isn't here she must be with dad!" Menma starts to run from one side of konoha to the other, teleporting almost every second draining his chakra at a speed never saw before, he finally finds his mother and his newborn brother at one of the residences that Minato owns.

But before he can ask her what is happening Minato teleports into the room and takes them away, Menma can only sigh at this, the yellow flash of light that follows minatos teleportation at least gives him a direction to follow.

Menma is running at full speed to the direction of the nine tails, as he sees the bijuu beign held by his mother chains he relax for a moment

'nothing can escape mom's chains'

But reality is cruel, just as his parents enter his vision he sees the nine tails getting restless for some reason, it suddently gets smaler by half of its original size but that makes the adamantine sealing chains loose, the nine tails lifts it's arm and attacks the new born Naruto, Menma stops. He feels like the entire world just ended as he looks at his parents getting pierced by the nail of the kyuubi.

Menma runs to them, hoping that this is not happening but reality is right in front of him

"No... This can't be... Why?... if i just got there faster... if i just didnt leave them... if i just-" Menma starts to breakdown but he is stopped by his mother voice

"Men...ma, Plea...se ta...ke care ... of Na... ruto" Menma looks at her but before he can say anything the life left her eyes. He feels like crying but no tears fall from his eyes

"Why?Why did this happen? I couldn't even save my parents, i should just die and follow them" Just as Menma was at the verge of entering a path without exit, his attention is grabed by a sudden cry

"WAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Naruto who could not even open his eyes yet as he was just born recently, cries. Bringing Menma out of his depressed mood

"Just what was i about to do? I need to take care of Naruto. M-Mom asked this to me as her last wish..." Menma decides to stop all the negative toughs and think of his newborn brother, the little light of hope that shinned is the abyss of despair were he almost fell into.

But reality proves that he has no choice

"Give the kid to me Hiruzen i can groom him as the perfect weapon for the village" The mummy that everyone hates makes its debut in this fic

"No, Danzo he is the son of Minato, i can't give him to your 'root' he needs to be a symbol" Hiruzen answer

"That kid Menma can be your symbol, no one even knows that the kid was born and we cant let a jinchurikki unattended like that" Danzo rebukes

"..." Hiruzen is silent, he doesn't want to give Naruto to Danzo but he has no argument to why... Sometimes one need to wonder who is the hokage on this village, his words are supposed to be law in konoha but Danzo is apparently an exeption to this.

Menma is currently with a baby Naruto in his arms as he walks around konoha

"And there is were they teach kids how to be ninjas, there is the hokage building, the tallest building of konoha..."

As Menma is giving Naruto a tour of Konoha, root shinobi's surround him.

"What is the meaning of this?" With a frown in his face, Menma asks.

"Menma Uzumaki, by the order of the hokage, we came to take the one know as Naruto Uzumaki, to the root program" answer a root shinobi

Menma frows harder at his statement

"I will see this with the hokage myself then" As he starts to walk away a root shinobi starts to speak

"Menma Uzumaki, are you going against the orders of the hokage?"

Menma turns back and emitting a LOT of pressure on that root shinobi he coldly replies

"I. Will. See. With. The. Hokage. If. That. Is. True." And walks away

Menma is currently in front of Hiruzen, Dozens of root shinobis and some anbus are dead at his feet.

Danzo is at she side, his arm was ripped from his body, half of his face was completely burned.

Menma is looking at Hiruzen, behind his white mask, Menma's now blck eyes with yellow pupils, are coldly observing the 'so called hokage' of konoha

"Why did it need to reach this..." Hiruzen asks but no one pays attention

"Hiruzen" Menma starts with a cold voice

"If anything ever happens to my brother, i swear on my very soul that i will bring the end of konoha, if you let that bastard Danzo do ANYTHING to him, you will regret it..." Menma disapears in a red flash, leaving behind Hiruzen who is deep in hi thoughts...

Years later as Menma got to hear how his brother was treated in the village he paid a 'visit' to Hiruzen and gave him a reminder of just how fuc*ed konoha can be if he wants, as a son of the previous hokage the ammount of information that Menma has that could start a war with every village targeting konoha is not little. He then goes to the forest of death to 'test' his little brother

"Sigh~. Why do i aways need to deal with overprotective brothers that could bring the end of konoha if something happens to their little brothers? First Menma then Itachi, if another one appears i will just resignate as a hokage..." Hiruzen can only complain and regret his past choices...

Unfortunately for him, he will not live to see another overprotective brother appear...
