With that Shinji enters his fighting stance and finally seeing his opponent, and his face turned pale not because of how strong the enemy but the number…

"Ghouls?! I know Dead Apostle can create them as side effects but this is too much! " Shinji protested "Just a minute ago this place was empty but how come there a scene straight from Resident Evil?"

"And I just got the magic to manipulate soul! Why the heck my first enemy, after Zouken is being that, didn't have a soul?! Is this Karma!?" Shinji frustrated "and why the heck my bounded field doesn't stop them?!"

In this world, Ghoul was human that having their blood sucked by Vampire and can't properly dead, their soul already free from the cage of the body but still anchored to reality through their head. That was the reason why it needs to destroy their head to kill them.

Because the soul already free from the body any change to it won't affect the body. Shinji can just destroy it but if he does that they will never reincarnate.

Shinji will never do that afterall most of them were just unlucky civilians, they don't deserve the same fate as Zouken.

With that Shinji start his path of face smacking, by literally smacking their face, Shinji can release their soul from the anchor but with all his power Shinji was shit in control, he needs at least smack the ghouls face more than three times

So it begins a fight where Zombie-like creatures swarming someone that running around only to smack the Zombie-like creature face again, again, again, again, again, again…and again.

'Its a good thing unlike the Resident Evil Zombie the ghoul doesn't infect the one who bitten…' Shinji sighed in relief 'I think even in a zombie or ghoul-like infested world there is no one that can brag the achievement of killing them just by face smacking'

'Now let us give the Dead Apostle a visit…'

As someone from a noble family, canon Shinji knows the existence of the Dead Apostle, and as normal humans that know the truth canon Shinji really terrified of it.

Different from Ghoul that didn't have any intelligence which canon Shinji confident can beat because the ghoul only has basic instinct. Dead Apostle was smart…terrifying smart thanks to that even though never meet with them the canon Shinji really scared of them.

Thanks to that the current Shinji, emotion quickly shifted between excitement, afraid, calmness, scared, confidence, crying…

'This canon body soul influence is really annoying' Shinji thought 'maybe after traveling around the world, I should go to the Bleach for treatment, their mastery of soul was better than here'

Dead Apostle was this world version of super vampire, if human get blood sucked they become ghoul, if the ghoul lives long enough and gaining back their intelligence they become vampire, a vampire was a servant to the one who sucked their blood, if they can rebel against the one who sucks their blood they become a Dead Apostle.

They are annoying because this world vampire created using the template of the incarnation of the moon (Type-Moon) they have an advantage against humans. They can 'deny' noble phantasm that made by human or god for human and their regeneration was not actual regeneration but more turning back time, a characteristic of creature from the moon

They are part of 'Fantasy' not 'Reality' so to kill them it was needed to use their conceptual weakness or a greater 'Fantasy'

In Shinji case, because he didn't have any church-related weapon that exploits their weakness, Shinji will kill them with a greater 'Fantasy'.The Third True Magic.

The Dead Apostle attack with a speed that can't be seen by normal human eyes but Shinji was not a normal human, he is a bonafide Magician

*Sound of Earthmoving*

With a simple thought from Shinji, the ground move turning into a wall and protecting him trapping the arm of the Dead Apostle that almost reaching him. Shinji achieving this by controlling the soul of the ground, just like a Fullbringer but greater and stronger. Everything has a soul and as long a soul didn't have consciousness Shinji can control it freely.

*Sound of someone stuck*

Feeling that he cannot free his arm the Dead Apostle sever it, and in the blink of eyes the time turned back, the wall that protecting Shinji has an arm-sized hole, and the Dead Apostle having his arm back

*Sound of someone checking his arm*

The Dead Apostle attempt to strike again only for the ground instantly trapping its body except for its head. Even with all his strength, the Dead Apostle can't break free

Shinji grinned and raised his arm...

With that Shinji starts to face smacking the Dead Apostle to weaken its soul anchor to reality, after all before becoming an apostle he is just another ghoul, which means he still has the same weakness as them.

Why face smacking? Shinji just afraid if he touches the Dead Apostle for more than one second, the Dead Apostle will find a way to suck his blood. Shinji already have canon Shinji influence, he didn't need Vampire Impulse added on the list

With that last smack, the Dead Apostle turned into dust…

"Wow, I kill a Dead Apostle by smacking its face to death…" Shinji stared at his right hand "a low-level one but a Dead Apostle regardless"

"Maybe I should get the title 'Face-Smacking Magicians?' " Shinji smiled and start to repairing the room "Somehow that sounds silly and badass at the same time"
