Chapter 5 Itachi and Akira

After a few weeks Fugaku and Itachi came back and from the how they look Akira could tell that the fighting was mentally draining on Fugaku.

Although he doesn't show on his face you could tell from his posture and from how he's been acting.

Itachi on the other hand seems a lot more serious and seemed like he matured which isn't a good thing because he's still just a kid.

Walking up to Itachi and putting his hand on his shoulder Akira decided to talk to him.

"Yo, how have you been?" Akira said trying to talk to him in a comforting manner.

"I should try to keep a warm atmosphere around him so he can feel like he has a place he come back to for comfort because knowing Itachi when things get tough he'll most definitely try to do it alone" Akira thought while talking to Itachi.

"I've come to understand a lot of things and now I know how I want to live my life but other than that I'm happy to be home to see you and mother" Itachi said while his face changed from serious to having a smile on his face.

Akira could tell he's putting on an act but he chose to leave it be for now.

With a gentle smile on his face Akira replied "Thats good, I'm happy you're back but remember no matter what happens I'll have you're back".

Doing the Itachi special Akira gently pushed Itachi's forehead with his fingers.

Itachi was a bit surprised but then his face changed to a smile.

Before he could say anything he was cut off.

"Go on and rest I know you're tired but tomorrow let's spar I've gotten stronger since the last time we met" Akira said then he turned and walked away

Itachi while watching Akira walk off thought "having a family is nice things, so I'll make sure I cherish it"

Itachi went back to his room to rest

The next day after breakfast Itachi and Akira made their way to a training ground so they could spar.

"It seems that you've awoken your chakra, I want to see what you're capable of now Akira" said Itachi as stood to face

"Same here, I want to see what you can do" replied back Akira.

"As soon as this stone hits the ground we start" said Akira a flicked it up with his thumb

As soon as the stone hit the ground, the two boys started running towards each other.

Akira threw a jab with a boxing stance with his left at a surprisingly fast speed for Itachi.

He used his right arm to shift the direction of the punch to go over his shoulder and past his head.

After Itachi redirected the punch he lifted his right knee aiming to to hit Akira in the stomach.

Using his free hand he blocked the just as it collided with his body dispersing most the force.

Seeing that Itachi only had one leg Akira went sweep to Itachis leg.

Itachi saw this coming and jumped up off that one leg and was going to kick Akira with it.

Akira saw this and pushed him away with hand that was on his knee making the kick just barley graze and and slightly rip his shirt.

*phew* "that was close I almost lost straight away. That kick would've hit my liver" Akira said

"That is true, but we are just getting started" replied Itachi.

The two boys continued to spar for the next half an hour

After they finished fighting Itachi and Akira sat on the ground out of breath. They decided to take a drink break.

"Your fighting style is strong and it seems you've grown a lot since i last saw you" Itachi said while smiling at Akira

"Yeah thanks, I'm got to work hard to keep up with someone like you" Akira replied

"The martial arts are from my previous life that I just practiced during my training is the reason I was able to keep up. This man is too strong" Akira was thinking in his head

"Well it's good that you're getting stronger. You can protect yourself in the future" Itachi said a little sadly while thinking of the battlefield.

"That's true, especially since I'm going start going with you too the frontlines even though it's after all the fighting is done".

Itachi turned to Akira and looked at him with a serious face.

"When we go out there I want you to stay close to me, it's a dangerous place".

Akira just smiled and said "sure"

"He's still the same kind guy that he was in the story" thought Akira.

They continued to train till night then went home. This continued for the next few days until their departure.

On the morning that they were leaving Mikoto hugged both itachi and Akira. With a sad look on her face she said.

"Since I'm also a ninja I have to go and join my comrades who are fighting. So you two are going to be with dad until our next break so be safe my boys"

"Yeah we'll see you soon" Akira said back as he watched her leave.

"Let's get going" Fugaku said

The three of them left the village and started to make their way to the base camp on the edge of The Land of Fire
