I’m a causal with Godly Powers

I let out a annoyed tired sigh as I avoid waves of monsters, known as Hollows. Creatures that consume the body and soul of a human to evolve to become even more lethal, powerful, and intelligent. These creatures appeared a couple months back when myself and a handle full of others around the world fell into a coma for almost two months. When we awoke we had supernatural abilities. Doctors and scientists couldn't figure out what the cause of the coma, the sudden powers, or the appearance of the Hollows. Though, they speculate that all three are connected, but can't figure out why it suddenly happened. They didn't know WHY, or exactly HOW it's happening.

Many people knew, including me, what these powers were and what the Hollows are. Though, we didn't know why the appearance of the Hollows, or the the powers. What we also knew is that our powers were needed for to defeat the Hollows to keep them from consuming the lives's of Humans and growing stronger.

And, well, that's exactly what I'm doing at the moment. Punching holes into horrifically screeching Hollows to keep them from eating people. Hollows appear from these dark portals that tear through the sky. These portals are called "Gargantas". Garganta is a Spanish word for throat. These portals let through waves of Hollows ranging from weak to powerfully evolved Hollows. Hollows have different stages of evolution. The way they evolve is through consuming humans, or consuming other Hollows.

First stage is a regular Menos. Menos have widely varying physical characteristics, rarely appearing the same. In terms of appearance, Hollows can range in appearance from furry (like mammals) to lizard-like to outright demonic. Hollows vary in size, though it tends to be fairly consistent among the various classifications. "Menos" meaning less or minus in Spanish. Second stage is a Menos Grande, which is Less Big or Big Minus.

The vast majority of the Menos Grande's body is light gray and it has a mask that more resembles a skull. The mask almost completely covers its face, but appears to be broken towards the bottom of the left side, exposing its pale, human-like mouth and chin. It has an extremely long tongue, which often hangs out of its mouth. A large, pointed, hood-like structure envelops its head, while a two-layered, mantle-like extension of its flesh covers the area around its shoulders. The upper parts of its arms are bulbous, but its forearms are very slender, with Human-like hands. It has a large Hollow hole, right on the center of its chest.

The bottom portion of its body, actually a separate being in itself, greatly resembles a top, which spins as the Hollow moves across the ground. When separated from the upper body, the top of the lower body is exposed, revealing its mouth and eyes. Because a portion of its "face" is broken, one of its eyeballs is visible; the eye hole covering the other one is intact. The bottom half even has its own small Hollow hole, along the inner rim of the top. Menos are created when the void within an ordinary Hollow's heart becomes so substantial, Human souls are incapable of sustaining it, at which point it begins devouring fellow Hollows. These cannibal Hollows are attracted to one another, and a mass inter-devouring follows, resulting in a Gillian. Gillian being the third stage.

Following this transformation, the Gillian can evolve twice more, first into an Adjuchas and finally into a Vasto Lorde, provided certain conditions are met. Menos evolution is not only contingent upon the Menos eating other Hollows, but also upon the Menos' ability to avoid being eaten. If another Hollow succeeds in devouring even a part of their body, evolution becomes impossible for the one who was wounded this way. Menos-class Hollows are considered so dangerous that either I handle it myself, or others with the same abilities as me, are sent out into teams to handle them. These incursions seem to be rare, however, as Menos rarely show up unless attracted by large sources of spiritual energy.

Spiritual energy is what we use for our abilities. Many of us have large amounts of it, but others don't. I myself being one of those people with an insanely, almost infinitely, amount of spirit energy. The ones with the larger amount tend to be out fighting Hollows the most, because we exert more spirit energy than most. Also, out of all the others, I'm the one with the most spiritual energy. That's only because I awoke with the powers of a Soul Reaper and powers from a Hollow.

A Soul Reaper, to put it in short, is basically a regulator. They purify Hollows who do evil in the world. There's also the Quincy, but we didn't get anyone with Quincy power, as far as I know. They're a complete opposite to Soul Reaper's.

To sum up everything to how a lot of us know where this is all from; it's basically from an anime know as "Bleach". Pretty top tier anime, but had too many fillers in my opinion. But anyways, you all get the gist of it, right? Right. Back to fighting the horde of soul eating cannibalistic freaks.

So this is what I've been doing since I awoke from my coma. Fighting Hollows to keep where I live safe. Just like the others around the world who awoke from their coma.

Though, from what I can tell from this strange feeling I get in my gut, I can tell these waves of Hollows will eventually start to get a lot more intense.
