My idea for him not fighting yet is essentially, smaller villages like his don't have the resources to make dragon academy's like berk does. So what they do differently is have a few people train the kids how to use their weapons then help defend the village as sort of an assistant. They will basically be trained for the position. Thoughts?

BTW I am having him learn the spear now so that he can later learn more and want to use a halberd as it would be more helpful in his circumstances. But you wouldn't give a kid a more expensive/skillful weapon just because he asked for it when he has zero training.

I'm going to keep the identity of his dragon companion a secret for now, but do know that its not a dragon anyone else uses nor is it a Nightfury or whatever other random OC dragon. All I'm going to say is that I'm excited to see what I can do with it. Please feel free to guess what dragon its going to be. :)

Last note, I will move the previous Discussion chapters out of the way in the future. But i will be making more of these if everyone comments here. I want this to be more of a discussion than anything else. Im a new writer and can only come up with so many ideas. So please give me some so I can improve this Fan Fic and writing skills.
