Ch. 36 This is our Home.

A few weeks have passed now and we are still at work to get the frequency that we want for creating our network, thankfully Fudge did take about 2 million in bribes, a smarter man would have asked for a percentage. Thank god he is dumb. We also made him sign a document that makes us the only company allowed to sell sim cards.

But we are really not that stupid, so we will roll out 3 different brands of sims all under one parent company so it gives the illusion of choice while in actuality you don't have any choice.

We have also started to buy older model cellphones because we can get the older one's at a cheaper price and sell them at a marked up price. The idea was labelled as very evil by Astoria, Daphne and Victoria but Florian and Ted were more accepting of it.

I mean wizards are like old people it is better for them to get used to an older technology first. That is what I said to everyone and they mostly bought it.

(In Study room of Greengrass manor)

Florian and I were sitting on the sofa and we're currently discussing the sales of Tv.

Florian said, "So the Tv sales have skyrocketed."

I said, "I predicted it, wizards literally didn't have much to entertain themself with except for books and music and now they don't have to leave the house to go and watch shows, News also gets delivered to them 24/7 all that good stuff."

He said, "and the cable service will start from November. It was a bit expensive developing our own technology for this but it will be well worth the price."

I said "It's a good thing that Fudge is the minister otherwise we wouldn't be able to expl... I mean... what is the word I am looking for?"

He said, "Employ and invent so many new jobs?"

I said "Exactly!" I then looked at the time and said "Where is Daphne?"

He said, "She is getting ready."

I said "We were supposed to leave about an hour ago. What is she doing in there?"

He said, "You go and check, we are done anyway."

I stood up and asked, "Did you find someone for our wolf problem?"

He said, "I am still looking there are whispers about someone who wants him gone so with any luck we will be meeting them soon."

I said "We better otherwise we may need to create one. Alright, I am out."

I then left the study and went towards Daphne's room her room was on the second floor on the right wing on the corner it was a quiet area. I knocked on her door and she said "Come in."

I Entered her room and it was clean and elegant I didn't see any embroidery stuff the room had a clean aesthetic the room was a lavender colour the bedsheets were a light green colour, the room had many books but most of them were about History and politics and other such stuff.

I looked at her she was wearing blue jeans a light yellow top and a jacket she looked at me and asked "How do I look?"

I looked at her and said, "You look like a normal but very beautiful muggle girl."

She said "Thank you, that is exactly what I was going for. Just wait a few more minutes I still have a bit of a touch up to do."

I said, "Wait, you are not wearing make-up."

She smiled and said, "Stop faltering me, we are already late, the designer is already there."

I walked up close to her and said "And she can wait as long as she has to. We aren't paying her for nothing."

She turned around and said, "We are paying her to decorate the house."

I said, "Yes, and she won't get paid until we say yes to it."

She smiled and said, "There is no we, this one is all mine."

I said, "I know I just like to be included." She turned around and continued and I said "Come on let's go you look good as it is. There is no need to cause accidents now."

She smiled and said "Just five minutes. You go wait in the car."

I said "Fine, but come soon." I then left and waited in my BMW E38 750i. After talking to Arthur he helped us in building cars for a few Wizards that liked Cars. The product was targeted as a Luxury instead of a Necessity. So not many people bought it but the one's that did had something that was unique that no one else had.

After waiting for another fifteen minutes she came she sat with me in the back seat and I said the location to the driver. The other problem I basically had to find a guy who was a squib and offer him a buttload of money to be the driver.

He took us to Knightsbridge. The House cost me a pretty penny but all was worth it. This place was the poshest place in London. We arrived in front of our Home. The Building was only two-story tall, but was Large and had a very homey feel to it.

In front of the gate was a woman and it looked like she has been waiting for quite some time we exited our car. Both of us looked like a couple of normal kids. I was wearing jeans and a turtleneck.

She asked, "Where are your parents?"

I said, "Well, mine is no longer with me and her father is busy with business and his mother is managing a political party."

She said, "And you must be Mr House, my employer, Miss Greengrass has said much about you. I am Loretta Clark."

I said, "Well, it's good to meet you, Miss Clark. Now that the introductions are out of the way, let's go inside."

She took us inside Daphne has been working with this woman to decorate the house when I entered the house I saw a big chandelier in the hall with a staircase going up from the right leading to the second floor.

The Hall was decorated with ferns there was plenty of light coming from the large windows. On the left side was a fireplace and right beside it was a sofa set. And on the opposite side of the Hall was another door that lead to the guest room. It had a cellar look it had barrels and wine cabinets.

And further, it leads to an open area in the middle of the house it gave a nice feel to the House the open area had a small seating area and a small garden for herbs. Further was the Study Room and it had a large bookshelf it was like the whole wall was one big bookshelf It had a fireplace on its right side.

On the right side of the house from the Guest, room was the Dining Room and Kitchen. On the left side of the Study room was a Lab that I wanted to brew potions in.

Daphne said, "So how did you like the first floor?"

I smiled and said "It was beautiful, all the rooms had plenty of light coming into them. the decorations were nice as well. Now let's check the upper floors."

The woman then led us to the upper floor and showed us many rooms the house had about 9 rooms on the upper floor. and non of them were decorated except for one that was mine.

Daphne decorated this one for me the room was at a quiet corner of the second floor It was facing the south direction. It was also the largest room in the house.

The room had a big balcony with glass doors on the left side was a fireplace and on the right side was a bookshelf filled with books Daphne filled the books herself.

And on the right said was also a desk and on the bottom, there was a giant glass case for Cotton it had a heater and everything.

There was a decent size bed and I looked at it and Daphne looked at me and asked "What did you not like?"

I said, "Well, everything else is good." She sighed in relief but I then told her to come close and said it in her ears "But we might need a bigger bed."

She was red and said, "Why do you always have to say stuff like that?"

I smiled and said, "Because the reactions you give me are priceless."

She then said, "You are a pig."

I winked and said, "I know but we still need a bigger bed." She then hit me on my arm. I then said, "She is still here you know."

Daphne then composed herself but Loretta was amused by us and said "Did you liked the House?"

I said "What's not to like. Everything is perfect." I then handed her the check and she went away. We were standing in front of the main door to see Loretta off.

Daphne then said, "I will not come here if you keep teasing me like that."

I said, "We both know that's a lie."

She said, "I will not come here."

I said "Fine, then I will not tease you, I will directly ask of you."

She said, "That is worse."

I said, "Hey, you asked for it."

She then punched me lightly on my chest it is very cute when she does that she then buried her face in my chest and I said: "You know I love it when you do this right?" She nodded and I asked, "What do you want to eat?"

She said, "I want to eat Chinese."

I said "Good choice. I will go and get it you get the Tv and plates."

She nodded and I left to get the Chinese. I came back after half an hour. and I entered and said "Honey I am home."

Daphne said, "Stop being an idiot, I am starving."

We then took the food and the plates to my room and she had already set up the Tv and we started to watch "I Dream of Jeannie." Daphne liked the show.

We were eating and I asked, "Hey, Daph do you think it is a bad idea to introduce Cellphones to the Wizarding world."

She said "It is a bad idea, people are still upset with your tape recorder and everything. Mom is still putting out fires created by that tape recorder."

I then asked, "So I shouldn't do it?"

She said, "Not now, give people some time to adjust with the Tv and everything and after a few years then introduce the cellphone."

I said, "But we have already invested so much money."

She said "Don't be a baby that much money is literally nothing to you. It's like taking a few buckets out of the ocean."

I said, "Yeah, but the ocean will still miss his water?"

She sighed and said "Think like this right now we have invested in technology we already have the frequency we need, so we can spend some time perfecting it and then we release it. If we release it now, the people might not accept the technology."

I said, "Yeah, don't want to anger the mob, I already have so much heat with everything."

We then ate in silence for a few minutes but then she asked "Can I ask you why do you only tease me and not Victoria?"

I said "It's simple, she can freely express herself, she doesn't hold anything back while you on the other hand keep everything inside and bottle it up. So I have to forcefully release pressure from you." She then smiled and I took a bite and said "And because of the cute reactions."

I then asked about the werewolf situation and she said "Wizard kind don't really like Werewolves though."

I said "That is why I had an idea that I will open a company under the person who will help me in overthrowing Fenrir. Then we will employ him and then others will get curious and then Fudge will personally employ them as bodyguards and then other Wizards too will employ them."

She said, "Yeah, but we can't be too sure about that."

I said "I know that is why I have started the talks with Nurmengard and other holding facilities. We are offering them cheaper alternatives."

She said "Yeah, no that is still a bit shaky but could work. Since that is away from Wizards and is mostly about criminals so it should work."

I asked "Hey Daph. are you liking the food?"

She said "Yeah, it is delicious why?"

I said "Because you literally haven't touched your food."

She was embarrassed and said, "I can't use these sticks to eat."

I smiled and said, "Want me to feed you."

She said "Okay."

I was pleasantly surprised at her forwardness but was very happy then we ate together I helped her in eating and taught her how to use the chopsticks, she was getting better. But ultimately I told her to use Spoon and fork.

After we ate I gave her a ride home and I then escorted her to the door. We were standing at her door. I gave her a key and said "Here is your key." She accepted it and said, "Thank you."

I said, "What would I do without you Daph?"

She said, "Start a Wizarding war without knowing it?" We both laughed at that

I then said, "I know I am so useless without you."

She smiled and said "Glad to know that you can admit something like that all on your own."

I then took her hand and said "I had a lovely evening with you Daph and I am sorry for some comments that I made."

She smiled and said, "It's fine I had a lovely evening as well." She then leaned forward and kissed me on the cheeks and then she said "Good night."

I said, "I think we still have one left from before." She then tried to let go of my hand.

She then said, "Don't be greedy Jon." I then pulled her close and was about to kiss her but then I kissed her on the cheek

I then said, "Just give it back to me when you are ready."

She then laughed and said, "You are such a..."

I said "Pig?" I then let go of her.

She smiled and opened the door and I said "Good night Daph."

She said, "Good night Jon."

Today was a fantastic day. I just hope that every day is just as good as this. I was then thinking of ways to break the bad news to Florian he will be upset, maybe buy him a new muggle company.
