Ch.54 Road ahead

The sheriking of Daphne and Tori caused Lizz to get startled and Steven stepped out in front of Lizz and said, "Calm down girls." I chuckled and put my headphones away. Florian and Ed got up and took hold of the situation. I got out of the booth and Lizz walked towards me and with a baffled expression asked, "So you are the photograph guy?"

I chuckled and offered my hand and said, "Most people call me Jon." She broke into a little laugh before shaking my hand and Florian came forward and said, "I'm glad that you have you here." He reached out with his hand and Steven shook it and smiled.

Steven then asked, "So you're the one huh?" I looked at him and he just exhaled sharply.

Lizz asked, "How old are you?"

I looked at her and said, "12 as of now."

She continued to look at me and Steven's eyes widened and said with a smile, "Damn, so young…" Florian looked at him and he continued, "And so talented."

Lizz continued to look at me with a mix of expression and I asked, "Should we sit and discuss it?"

Lizz nodded but then Steven interrupted and said, "We would love to but, we've had a long journey from the states so I hope you understand."

I nodded and Florian said, "Understandable, we were done for today anyway. Then we should be going."

Steven looked at him and he explained, "Well, you guys are my guest. I can't put you guys in a hotel for god sakes. You'll be staying at my manor." A giggle was heard from the corner of the room.

Steven tried to say something but Lizz quickly said, "We'd be happy to oblige." Florian chuckled and took Steven while I followed Lizz, but I stopped and looked back to see the two and I said, "You guys coming?" They quickly ran up while I looked at Ed and said, "Thanks Ed… see you tomorrow."

He nodded and we went out and Florian said, "I don't think we all would fit inside the car."

Lizz said, "Jon, can come with us in the carriage." Florian hummed and said, "Wonderful idea there Miss Allen." Florian looked at me and said, "Jon, you go with them." 

They all walked into the car while I walked into the carriage and it was more of a party bus than a carriage. With a bar and beds at the back. I walked to the coach man and said, "Follow that car." He nodded and I went to the back with them.

Steven walked to the bar and started pouring himself a drink and I sat with Lizz and she asked, "How long have you been singing?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Just a couple of months… my friends made me do it."

She hummed and Steven asked, "So how did a kid like you get involved with him, are you like his secret son or something?"

I looked at him and Lizz said, "He didn't mean that." Steven looked a little worried.

I just chuckled and said, "I get it, it's show biz… you have to have a thick skin… and to answer your question. I'm friends with his daughter and it's not like I have no feet of my own to stand."

They looked at me curiously and I said, "My full name is Jonathan Grindlewald House." Steven spat out the dink while both of them looked at me.

Steven said, "You are related to that guy." 

I sighed and said, "Sadly so… I guess you could figure why I didn't want my name on the first thing I put out."

Steven then looked at me and said, "I mean no disrespect but working with…"

I stopped him and said, "I understand your concerns, I know my name doesn't inspire the best. But that what I'm here to change… my first singles have now sold over 5000 copies in just a few days. And it had created a lot of intrigue within the wizarding world. And I don't intend to put my name in Lizz's album. My name will not be there, it will be revealed after my album. So you don't have to worry that my name would tarnish your client."

Steven and Lizz looked at me with curiosity and he asked, "You sure you a 12 year old?"

I chuckled and said, "Yeah, you aren't the first one to ask me that."

Steven went to get another drink and I asked, "So, Lizz… first time going solo huh? Must be quite nerve wrecking?"

She sighed and nodded and said, "Yeah… but I'm excited to see where it goes, now though I feel like it would be interesting if nothing else."

I chuckled and asked, "Tell me about the albums, like what kind of theme are you going for?"

She shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't quite fully know I'm just doing the songs that I like. You know?"

I nodded and said, "Oh, I understand completely."

Soon the carriage landed and I got up and said, "After the dinner is done… we should figure out what things we'll be working on."

She nodded and said, "You got it."

I got out of the carriage while they took some time. I saw Florian outside and I said, "You'll greet them right? This being your house and your guest and all?"

Daphne didn't look pleased and said, "Jon, they are your guest too."

I sighed and slumped my shoulders and said, "I'm tiered though." 

Florian just patted my back and said, "Go get some rest." I nodded while going I looked at the two girls jittering from excitement. I shook my head and went straight for my room. I needed a shower badly.

(Lizz's Pov)

I met him today, the mysterious singer, that I was going to work with and to be honest I was a little disappointed to see that he was just 12 years old. But the more I talked with him the more and more he seemed interesting, he took Steven's joke like a champ any other 12 year old would have flown off the handle with that comment. And he's so smart, Steven thinks that it was done by his team and all but I don't know the look in his eyes when he was telling us all this was different that just regurgitating some plan.

I was sitting with my face planted on the table while groaning and Steven was at the bar and he chuckled and said, "I know I also wished him to older… but damn that kid has more brains than the 3 weird sisters combined."

I looked at him and he said, "Don't Lizz. He is 12."

I scoffed and said, "I wasn't thinking of anything like that!"

He chuckled and I said while playing with my hair, "And it's not like I'm way too old I'm 16… and it's not like he'll be stuck 12 and he's going to be 13 soon maybe then."

He stopped her and said, "Stop, don't even think about it. Both of you will be over even before you guys start and besides didn't you see those two around him?"

I groaned and nodded and I asked, "But didn't it seem like he was obvious to it?"

He tilted his head and said, "Just stop… fantasising about him okay? We are here to work with him… and we need to be successful a lot is riding on it."

(Jon's Pov)

After taking a shower I got dressed and made my way downstairs to have some dinner. I was famished, I had nothing but that water and some fruit the entire day. I got the dinning room and I saw Tori there and I was a bit surprised and I asked, "You still here?"

She looked at me and asked, "Why you want me to go?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "No, I just assumed your dad would want you back home by now?" I walked to a chair at the end and sat there.

She sighed and said, "I just told mom that I would spend the night here and Mr. Greengrass said that it would be okay… so."

I looked at her and Florian said, "You're a friend of Daphne of course it's okay for you to stay."

Then Steven and Lizz walked in, they both had put on something leisurely and Lizz sat next to me and Steven sat next to her. Bella walked in with Florian and said, "Since we have some very important guests today, I decided to go all out on the meal."

I chuckled and said, "Where was this when I came here?"

Bella chuckled and said, "Well, you are more family than guest so…" Daphne looked at her mom while Tori looked at Daphne.

And very weirdly Lizz was looking at me the entire time, I turned to her and asked, "Ah something on my face?" 

She shook her head and after everyone settle down, Florian got up with a glass of wine and said, "Before we start I would like to say something, today is a very special day cause all the people in this room are going to be on a journey together. And I thank Steven and Lizz for helping us making it all come together. And Jon I'm proud of you… and I know you'll do great."

I chuckled and raised my glass and Florian said, "Cheers"
