Contract

POV: Ren

We may have made a deal with each other but there was no trust between us total strangers. Heck! I didn't even know his name or what exactly was he? He could not even be a he.

And not to mention he was the one who killed me according to him. I don't feel very bad since I didn't have any close relationship with anyone in the real world and I was just living for the sake of living but it still pisses me off that I died without doing a thing in the world.

"So what are you and why are you a reflection of me?" I asked him the obvious question I wanted him to answer.

( Well I forgot my name since it has been so long and I don't know who I am as well.)

"What the hell? Then how do you remember everything you've told me when you don't even know yourself."

(Well don't be so salty again. I may not know my identity but that's also part of my restrictions. I have been restricted from various things but I do remember many other necessary things. So everything I've told you is the absolute truth. This was the only time I could interfere in other worlds as well. It was my one and only chance to be free. )

His replies were somewhat believable to me. And it was also totally weird for me to talk to my own reflection. Not to mention, I didn't know how to get out of that heaven like place.

"Then why did you choose me and how did you know about those steps to become god anyway?"

( Don't think yourself as special because you got chosen since it was just out of pure chance. And I knew about the truth of gods centuries ago.)

Only I was doing the questioning here so he must know everything about me. I couldn't possibly believe all those things he had said to me as well. That would be foolish. What he had said to me completely messed with my view of reality as well. Everything seemed so fantasy like which was suppose to only exist in fictions. I had so many questions I wanted to ask him but I didn't know where to begin.

( So let's get out of here, shall we? )

He suggested the idea to get out of there but I didn't know where to get out of there. And I do remember him saying he didn't knew where we were.

"Didn't you told that you didn't know where we were?" I asked him.

( Umm... that was because we hadn't made a deal yet. Reveling everything wouldn't have been a wise choice, you know?)

That did made sense but now, it was even harder to trust him. But I can't do or say anything since I needed his help.

( But first, let us make an official contract. A contract to build up trust between each other.)

"Huh? A contract?"

( Yes! We don't completely trust each other. So building up a contract is necessary. If you violate the rules and terms of contract then you will die and same goes for me as well. Of course the rules are the same as what we discussed earlier. You don't mind, do you?)

I did mind it but I couldn't oppose it. And it was good for me as well since he couldn't betray me.

"Then let's get started. But how do we make a contract?"

( Well it's very simple. We go over the deal again and everything will get started.)

I did what he had told me to do. Then a number of chains appeared me out of nowhere binding me with it. Then the chains vanished showing me the conditions again. This seemed a very valid contract.

( Now our souls are binded by the contract. This deal can't be broken until we die or fulfill the deal.)

"So where are we again?"

( Well this is your inner world created by your soul. You can get out of here by destroying it with your own will.)

"My inner world? Then what will happen to you?"

(As I said this is your inner world, which means even if you destroy it then I will be inside of you. That's why I exist here in the first place. Because I am inside you.)

It was hard for me to accept he was inside of me but it did make sense. So I accepted it. And it was really so simple to get out of this place, huh?

"But where will I go after I destroy this place?"

(Well.....you will have to go to another world!)
