Chapter 11

It was that again, the quietness, the feeling of the fog you see over the lake when you are walking in the jungle at night. It just didn't feel like a school anymore. Kai and I went to our next class, the 4 boys were there, sitting at the back of the bench looking in pain. The moment we walked in, it was as if time stood still, everyone just looking at our walk-in but that doesn't scare me.

We took our seats right beside the 4 boys who still looked in pain. The classes went by faster than I thought, but what made me truly wonder is why isn't the injury of the 4 guys being questioned by anyone. Why was everyone being quiet about this? I should have been more careful about this, but my bruised hands said otherwise.

The day went by and it was time to head home, I knew Kai wanted to say something to me but he never did. I didn't want to force him either, I'm sure with time he would gather the courage to talk to me about what going on in his mind. Day 1 in school after suspension, I wonder where the road ahead of me would lead to...
