Chapter 12

It was our co-circular week taking place this week, I have always been interested in track and field. I wanted to sign up with them and see what sports could I get into. I asked Kai if he wanted to join the club with me but he didn't seem that interested. He wanted to join the photography club instead. Well everyone has their likes if that's what he wanted then so be it.

I saw some of the club members practising and I knew this is it, it felt like my calling. I approached the table for registration to fill in my particulars. The kids sitting there saw me submit the form and snatched it from my hand. I was irritated as they tore the form and threw the pieces on my face saying they don't want someone like me in the club.

Was it fate or was it lunch, the coach happened to be there when all this ordeal took place, he saw everything that happened and rushed in to sort the mess. He instantly shouted at the boys and as their punishment made them run 10 rounds of the track. He looked at me, glanced up and down and all he said was: tomorrow at 5 pm at the stadium and then walked away...
