Chapter 3

Man, yesterday was fun and we had a blast, too bad all this will end in a few months, *sigh* if only we had more time we could have made more fun memories, sadly they have to end as the apocalypse is coming.

I've searched the internet for survival tips, though they are for surviving in a wild life area, it will still be a big help as they have some rather useful things that I didn't even know.

Closing my laptop, I got ready for dinner as I just got back home from my daily part-time works in the neighbourhood. As it's my turn to cook today because mom is busy at work.

Hm, I think I'll just cook a fried rice... It's easy and tasty, plus the ingredients are simple too.

( 1 month time skip)

So... this month so far has been one of my best days since I've gotten my memories back, I mean why would I not be happy? I confessed to Saeko and yes I did, why? Because I certainly don't want to confess in the freaking middle of an apocalypse.

I was so nervous at that time *sigh* I'm glad I did though really, if I didn't she would have made the first move.. and as a man I can't have that happening now do I?

(Flashback)

"Saeko.. can we- can we talk at the roof top later during lunch..?" I asked her, feeling super nervous even though I know we had feelings for each other. "Sure Akio, I'll meet you later in the roof top I suppose." She replied, and I was inwardly celebrating, I mean in my past life, I was a loner, I wasn't a virgin yes, but I was definitely a loner.

( 3 hours time skip)

*Ding ding ding*

Ah there goes the signal that lunch is here, and now I have to go to the roof top, I hope I don't mess this up.. god knows how much my mom will tease me if I do.

Going up the stairs and reaching the roof top, I saw her there waiting *sigh* just getting here and I already made a mistake... What kind of man am I that I let a lady wait for me..

"Sorry for the wait Saeko.." I said, rubbing the back of my head. "Its alright Akio, and I didn't wait long I myself just got here around 5 minutes ago." She replied. Phew that's good I thought I took too long.

"So uh Saeko..." I said, I cant even complete what I'm gonna say.. "Yes? What is it Akio?" she asked. "So uh listen, I know we've been friends for quite a long time now but I was hoping that maybe we can be more than friends..? I asked, my face feeling hot from what I just said..

As I look towards her.. I saw her face getting red as well.. well ain't that cute.. "A-akio.." she said, ugh why do I feel like this..

"You know Akio, you've been my best friend since we were young kids, not to say that we aren't young anymore, and I'm really glad that we are friends.." she said, I'm really getting nervous now, I can feel my palms sweating.. "So my answer would naturally be yes of course! You've been by my side since we were kids! And you know I had feelings for you too! You dummy what took you so long!?" she replied and I was really surprised when I saw tears on her eyes.

I was inwardly celebrating from the fact the fact that we are now in a relationship, I was hugging her and trying to calm her down, ugh Saeko your hugging me too tight.. "C-calm down Saeko your hugging me too tight right now, I'm having a difficult time to breathe.." I said to her, " Ah sorry Akio I'm just really happy right now.." she replied.

What is this cute creature I'm hugging right now! How can one be cute and elegant at the same time!? Snapping me out of my thoughts, I found myself in a kiss with Saeko..

And a kiss we enjoyed in the roof top, while it's not really the best place for a confession, it is what it is though. We stayed in the roof top and talked the whole time during lunch, I mean fuck lunch, I'm going to enjoy my time with MY girlfriend.

(Flashback end)

That's one of my best memories and achievements if I do say so myself, now to plan a date before shit hits the fan... I hope there would be enough time though.. I wanted to enjoy at least this peaceful times with Saeko even if short its still a good memory we can remember.

(3 months time skip)

Shit shit shit, it's time at the middle of school, all hell will break loose, I left a message for mom back at home contains a warning of sorts, I was able to hide my stuff here at school and I made sure that I can access it easily when it's time to run. Saeko's dad is currently out of the country and mom is back home, I hope she finds the note in my room when she cleans it.

"Ahhhhhhhh" a horrible scream was heard from outside the window, and there it was the first zombie eating a student near the gate. Soon we heard screams by the hallway as well, I looked at Kohta, and told him to get up and bring Saya, Takashi, Rei, and Hisashi with him to the roof top.

"And Kohta! Don't open that door when you get there.. I'll meet you guys up there, I'll go get Saeko... Then we can talk about what's happening got it?" I told him, he nodded and went to the others to gather them up.

Saeko.. I need to go to Saeko's class, I know she would be fine but I still worry, it's my job to worry about her as a boyfriend, reaching there I saw her holding her bokken and slamming it right at the head of a running zombie.. wait... something's not right... Why can the zombies run when they can't run in the anime.. no no no no, it can't be, don't tell me the zombies here are different..

"Saeko! Are you good, did you get bit? Are you hurt anywhere???" I asked her checking her out for injuries, and seeing none I breathed a sigh, "Lets go we have to get to the roof top and meet up with the others!" I told her and she nodded holding her bokken tight and we started running..

On our way to the roof top we saw a zombie banging on the door of the nurse office, and I voice could be heard outside saying "I can't help you right now, please go away.." a female voice said, and I remember the blonde nurse from the anime Shizuka, I borrowed the bokken from Saeko and smacked the zombie away, I hit it in the head to make sure it stays down and returned Saeko's bokken back to her.

"Miss Shizuka are you ok? Did you get bit??" I asked while checking for any bites, I know they'll ask how I know about the bites and then turning into one but I've prepared a excuse for that. "I'm ok, I'm a little sleepy though.." she replied back, *sigh* this woman is as clumsy as she was in the show..

"Miss Shizuka can you please put as much medicine you can put in this bag." Grabbing a random bag in the room, I said. "Alright but what would you need it for..?" she asked.

"Ill explain everything later, but for now please Ms. Skizuka work with me this time." I said, checking the time and remembering I still need to get my bag of supplies.

"Alright.." she replied, *heavy sigh* this woman... "Saeko, can you please guard her? I gotta get something real quick, I'll meet you guys in the roof top." I said to Saeko.

"Alright Akio... I won't argue as I know you wdomt change your mind easily and seeing our situation right now, I want you to explain everything that is happening later.. and I expect you to come back safe you hear me?!" she said, sensing the fear she's feeling I hugged her and promised that I will tell them everything I know later.

Giving her a quick kiss on the lips, I bolted out of the nurse office to get my bag, and on the way I saw Shido running away from 3 zombified students chasing him, he kept shouting help, that man is truly stupid and corrupt in the inside so I won't help. Plus I know he would survive, letting him in the bus would be a good way to show just how corrupt he is, and that's where I'll finish him off.

Going to a maintenance room, there was a red hiking bag lying in the side along with a baseball bat, I took it and made my way to the roof top to meet with the others..., I just hope they're safe and no one was injured.
