Chapter 2

"So Saeko where do you want to go?" I asked her while walking said by side, as the sun goes down on the horizon. "I heard there's a new restaurant near my house, want to stop by on the way?" Saeko asked me. Well, this might be a good one so I might as well.

"Sure lead the way." I replied back, and soon we were on the street near her house, and while I'm at it I might as well stop by to say hello to her father. "Ah there it is Akio." Snapping me out of my thoughts Saeko said to me.

Huh, the name of the restaurant sounds familiar...Ichiraku Ramen huh.. I wonder where I heard that, must be from my past life.

(a/n: Reall sorry bout that, I couldn't think of one so I had to use this...)

"Welcome to my humble restaurant kiddos!" Said an old man, damn even he seems familiar to me. "Hello sir, can we see what's on the menu?" I asked, the old man. Curious about what other food is in the menu aside from ramen.

"Sure thing kiddo, here ya go." Replied the old man. Huh, they do have other food aside from ramen, but I think I should taste the ramen before I got for the others, it seems the specialty of the house is ramen anyway.

Me and Saeko both ordered ramen after a few minutes, but man, I got to say this place has a real homely feeling. After around 20 minutes our orders arrived, and god damn it taste so good. After eating I asked for the bill as it seems fitting that I pay as we were on a date.

After paying and saying goodbye to the old man, we continued our way to Saeko's house, I really wish the old man would make it through what will happen in a few months.

Upon reaching Saeko's house, we saw her father practicing kendo, I mean her dad is so fit despite being old, Saeko's dad if to be described is that he's like Saeko, calm, collected and kind, if you are too of course.

Opening the the door, we were greeted by uncle Asahi, aka Saeko's dad he's a pretty chill guy, bit scary when I first met him, but other than that he's a cool guy.

"Hello uncle, how are you doing these days? I asked him as Saeko greeted him as well. "Doing fine kid, I have to go on a flight in 3 months for some business but other than that I'm good kid." He replied to me. Huh I didn't know it would be in 3 months that he would leave.

"Huh, well then uncle I should probably go before mom worries about me." I said, I mean it is getting late so I really should go home before my mom scolds me about staying out too long.

"Alright kid, and don't forget to give my greetings to your mother." Said uncle Asahi, as I went out of the door, I saw Saeko waiting for me.

"W-well Akio, I guess I'll see you tomorrow." She said, then suddenly I felt a peck in my cheeks..

W-what what just happened?! Did I just got kissed in the cheek.. and by Saeko no less....

Ah.. well there she goes running back inside, but I'm not complaining, I totally didn't expect that peck but it sure was a welcome one, better get home now.

(1 month later)

I should have enough money to at least buy some rations now, money that mostly came from working in the neighbourhood and my daily allowance, while not much I'm sure it should be enough to buy food and water to last for a month, my only problem now is where to hide it without being suspicious as my mom knows me very well.

The only things I'm missing now is weapons, which would be hard to get due to my budget, I can wait for the guns as we're going to get the guns on Rika's house if all goes well according to the canon... But if there is one thing I'm sure of.. it's that it will never truly go like the way it should.

With my interference in the story, it will tend to stray from the original story so I should be prepared as much as I can.

I do have the baseball bat that I was able to sneak out of school last week, but that's pretty much all I have to defend myself, Saeko will have her bokken, Kohta his nail gun, and the rest should also be make shift weapons.

Getting out of bed after thinking, I went downstairs and greeted mom, I don't have school today so I can do a lot of things before the outbreak in 4 months.

4 months to prepare for what coming, again that's not much but time waits for no man, so I can't really complain.

"I guess I'll go meet up with Takashi and Kohta later." I said to myself, I've befriend Takashi Komuro during this month as it would be crucial to have trust especially during the outbreak where laws no longer exist.

I should also finalize what I'm still missing before I go out.. hm let's see.... I'm still missing a couple of rations that can last me for a week, aside from that there's the first aid kit that I forgot to buy, *sigh* how the hell could I forget the first aid kit...

Well, now that it's on my list, the escape plan should be next, I've already decided to escape with Takashi and the others then, attempt to reunite with our parents which most likely would be difficult...

There is also the matter with Shido... Hehehehehe don't you worry Shido.. I have a surprise fitting for people like you, I mean I myself don't see the reason why they saved him in the original, but now that I'm here I'm definitely going to make sure that you don't make it as you are one of the reason why Takagi Estate fell.

I do need the Takagi after all, as they would be able to help us big time during the outbreak.. and with me removing Shido, it should make sure that they stay safe and strong.

Speaking of the Takagi family.. *heavy sigh* Saya is one tough lady, and her tsundere attitude certainly makes it even harder to befriend her... Out of all the characters of High School of the Dead, I find her the most annoying..

(Flash back)

"Hey Takagi, how are you today?" I asked, her as she was in her seat reading something... "WHAT DO YOU WANT?! CANT YOU SEE IM DOING SOMETHING?!!" She snapped... Wow.. grumpy much I see, as far as I can tell she has a really severe case of superiority complex, well that is what I see in my view anyway, and adding to her tsundere nature makes it worse...

"Sheesh Takagi, I was just saying hello, you don't need to snap at me now do you?" I replied back. "Well hello! There, happy now?! Now go away and leave me in peace, *sigh* I swear to god I'm surrounded by stupid people.." She replied.

After that.. well I officially decided that till the outbreak, she's on her own and I won't be helping her, but fortunately for her my buddy Kohta would be with her till we 'coincidentally' group up and decide to leave the school.

(Flash back end)

Oh wow would you look at the time, I spent hours already just finalizing things and I still have 4 months at that, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do a lot more in the coming months, though I have to make sure Saeko and me have a good rest to be in tip top shape for what's coming.. not that we aren't as we are always in good shape anyway.

Time to meet up with the boys now I guess, I need to make sure I enjoy every single second of the internet while it last.. man now that I noticed... And I'm stupid for only noticing now, I would lose all ability to use the WiFi.. that means no more gaming.. no more watching.. and definitely no more *cough* cough* ehehehehehe.

Not that I would need the internet anyway... As I would be too busy making sure we survive hell and come out on top.

Just a heads up, next chapter will be a long ass time skip.

Again as I'm pretty certain there will be mistakes, I'll try my best to fix them.

My updates would probably be 2 or 3 chapters a week as I'm still testing the waters around writing.
