Chapter-4 : Years that passed

** MC age - 11 years **

It had been 5 years since he had performed the ritual

In these past 5 years he had much to learn. the first thing he learned was occlumency. It was damn hard to learn. It took him six months to completely empty his mind, then the real occlumency started. first he had to do was to organize his memories, seperate them accordingly and create basic occlumency shields. It took over eight months to cover up the basic occlumency. But after that was easy as everything onwards was up to imagination.

If someone somehow gained entry in his mind at first they will only see what is to be expected out of a kid his age. But if they try to probe too much, they will see the real hell. All his secrets, memories of previous life and his 'extra knowledge' were stored inside a massive space ship, at the very center of it. If any marvel fan saw the space ship they will easily recognise as it was 'The Sanctuary II', Thanos' space ship. which was ready to attack at any time.

To say that his mind was the safest mind in the world was not an overstatement. Alongside occlumency he also learn legilimency. As legilimency required a practice partner, the honor again went to Sid. (poor creature).

But that also helped Sid to become a great occlumence or should I say he was a natural born occlumence, mythical creatures like him already have impenetrable minds and an unbending will.

Though people don't use legilimency on pets, but if they do, they can get a lot of vital information.

So he thought that it may not be a bad idea to practice legilimency with Sid. And don't underestimate Sid, he was a bloody Phoenix, probably the most intelligent magical creature in the world.

It only took 3 years for Sid to become a master occlumence. His mindscape looked same as a burning sun, with all the knowledge at the center. Now it even gave hard time to Michael, only those who had a strong will and mental strength would be able to even bear the heat coming off his mind.

Learning occlumency was a boon too, it gave him eidetic memory, parallel thinking, increased thinking capacity, great learning speed.

He was practically immune to veritaserum, no amount of it could make him spill secrets, though he could give false information and make people believe it is true.

He could forge new memories from scratch, stitching together unrelated bits of memories into one continuous and different one.

But greatest of gain was in his willpower. occlumency helped him increase his willpower to new heights. His increased willpower in turn increased his control over mana in his body.

Though he could use wandless and chantless magic due to his willpower and mana control, it was only some basic stuff like pushing, pulling and levitating small objects.

He still could not use magic anytime he wanted as it became too strenuous on his magic core as his mana was still not dense enough.

Rowling majorly fuck*d up in explaining about magic. It took him three months of research along with dozens of books to fully understand it

At age of 6 wizards and witches awaken their mana core and their mana core start producing mana. but the mana produced is too thin, it is in a gaseous state. Because of this they can only do basic stuff with magic before the age of 11, anything complex and they will exhaust their mana.

At age of 11, after second maturity, mana becomes dense, almost like steam, Mana core starts producing denser mana. This is why people start practicing magic at this age.

At age of 17, after third maturity, mana becomes more dense, just like smoke, It is because of this that people in wizarding world become adult at this age. At this stage Mana core stops maturing.

Their was also another stage after this, but it was incredulously hard to achieve, it was known as accession. At this stage, mana becomes liquid. Only a few wizards can achieve this state. known of which are Merlin, Anthony, four founders, Dumbledore, Grindelwald and Voldemort. But comparing mana of Dumbledore and Voldemort with that of Merlin and Anthony was like comparing water with mercury.

The flow of magic was just as important as it's density, the more faster the flow is, the more faster you could perform spells.

Wands were also an important partner of a wizard, people may believe it to be some kind of crutches for weak but don't make that mistake.

Different cultures all over the world use different types of catalysts as for their magic to take form.

Though people used wandless magic, it was not as efficient as using it with a wand. When casting a spell, wands also incorporate the mana in the environment to give the spell casted a boost in power.

Normal wands give a boost of 30-40% in the spell casted, excellent quality wands such as wand of Voldemort and Harry, can grant a boost upto 90%.Then there comes the Elder wand, it could provide a boost of 200%, making any spell casted 3 times stronger. This was the reason that this wand was sought after and also feared.

Michael spent most of his days either reading or learning about potions and alchemy from his mother, he seriously considered the fact that he could definitely become a capable wizard just from the teachings from his mother.

But he wanted to see what adventures life had for him.

After his 8th birthday, he finally managed to convince his mother to let him do physical exercise.

Along with doing his exercises he also started learning Martial arts like karate and muay thai for strength, Taekwondo, jujitsu and Judo for flexibility, kempo and tai-chi for balance.

Pleasing his mother to let him learn martial arts was like pleasing a dragon to give away it's egg.

** At present **

After doing his morning routine ( Saitama's routine ) along with an hour of meditation, Michael into bathroom to get a good morning shower. Today he became 11 years old. He could feel the mana in his core becoming dense with each passing hour. After doing the celebrations for the birthday he snuck into the dungeon took out a container from an unnoticeable position and carefully opened it.

Opening the container, he carefully took out the piece of wood he hasn't seen in years. The wood was looking more compact than before and had gained few tinges of golden, red and green.

" It's about time I got a wand " Michael said. then he called Sid through his connection and with a burst of flames Sid flamed there.

"Damn, wish I could also use flame travel" he said.

Sid knew what he was called for and gave Mike one of his core feather, the one with the most magic flowing through it.

Taking the feather he turned it toward the wood and the feather just flew out of his hands and merged with the wood with multicolored lights.

As lights died down, it was replaced by a beautiful wand. It was 10 and a half inches long with a color between deep brown and deep red, with tinges of gold and green. As soon as he grabbed it his hand felt warm and the wand disappeared with a golden light and a tattoo of Phoenix appeared on his wrist. Michael could feel a connection between him and the wand.

Suddenly information appeared in his mind. It was about the wand and it's functionalities. it was flexible, good against dark magic, exceptional with healing and provided a 400% boost towards spells casted, meaning every spell casted would be 5 times stronger!!

And this was just beginning, it will grow alongside him! it was a wand 2 times stronger than the elder wand and by the looks of it, it'll never stop growing stronger.

"Damn, it's good" said Michael

Michael's mission in the dungeon was a success.

He got out of the dungeon and came to the living room sat on the couch and relaxed.

Suddenly there was a coot if an owl, looking towards it, it was carrying a letter in its talons. feeding the owl a couple of bacon strips he saw the letter, containing seal of Hogwarts.
