16 Chapter 16 His luck

"Of course you can," she replied and placed them down before they ran out of the room. Looking at Tang Ning, Li Fei said," I am taking the kids with me for four days. Would you pack their things?" "Of course," she replied and walked to the closet then picked a bag before packing in Huan's clothes. "I will be in the car with the kids," she informed. "Alright." After packing all the necessities, she walked to Juan's room and packed his bag too.

She after walked downstairs with the two bags and took them to the car. When the door opened, she placed the bags and after looked at the people inside. She caught sight of the two girls where one was about five years old and the other about two years.

Li Fei looked at her and said," Thank you. We shall take our leave, uh before I forget, these are my daughters." She pointed at the elder one and said," This is Jin Lian. She's making six and this is Meiling. She's two years old.'

She smiled at the two adorable girls and said," Hey, I'm Tang Ning. The twin's nanny." They giggled and waved at her and she returned it.

Juan was carrying the girl, Meiling on his lap while Jin Lian was carrying little Huan. "Okay have a nice time," she said before stepping away and she watched the car drive out of the residence. She then remembered seeing the woman in the pictures of the twin's mother. She must have been her friend, she thought.

Left with nothing to do, she wondered if she should use this opportunity to go and visit her father but she didn't know how her boss would take it and she decided to wait.

In the end, she decided to go back to her room.

It was around nine in the night when Tang Ning was from having dinner and on returning to her room, she checked her phone to find a number of missed calls and messages from Daiyu. Checking the messages, they read, 'Pick up right now you won't believe what just happened.'

'You're going to be shocked at what I have to tell you.'

'Pick up the damn phone!!!'

As she was going to call her, Daiyu's phonecall rang that instant. The moment she picked up, she asked," Where have you been?" "I was in the dining room. Why?" she asked.

"Okay okay. You won't believe what just happened!" she said. "Daiyu, I already saw your messages. Reach straight to the point," she said. "Remember that I told you that today we were welcoming the new CEO of the hospital?"

"Yes yes I remember very clearly. What happened?" "You won't believe who it is," she said. "Daiyu- " "It's Feng Shufen," she revealed. "Feng Shufen? Which one?" asked Tang Ning, not daring to believe it.

When the call ended, Tang Ning sat on the bed thinking about the news she had just received.

Feng Shufen was here. Honestly, she didn't wish to cross paths with him because she didn't know how she would react. He must have moved on, she thought. Although she hadn't completely forgotten about him, she had priorities right now.

In the morning, a red Ferrari parked in front of Life global hospital and Feng Shufen came out dressed a blue crisp suit. He immediately walked inside the hospital and the workers he met along the way bowed at him in acknowledgement of their new CEO.

He made way to his office and when his assistant came to him, he said," Good morning. I want you to bring me a nurse called Daiyu." "Uh, which department sir?" he asked. "I don't know but she works here. I met her yesterday," he said and he nodded before leaving.

He leaned his back on the seat as he thought. He couldn't believe his luck. He saw the girl, Tang Ning's best friend in this very hospital when he was yet to start looking for her. Hopefully, she knew something about her friend's whereabouts. Even the slightest information would be helpful, he thought. He was able to get her name yesterday since it was imprinted on her uniform.

A long while later, a knock was heard on the door and it opened to reveal his assistant and behind him was the girl. "Is she the one sir?"

"Absolutely. You can take your leave now," he said and the assistant turned then left. "Ms Daiyu, please take a seat," he said and she walked forward before taking it. When she sat, he said," Good morning." "Good morning sir," she replied.

"Stop addressing me formally please. We are old schoolmates," he spoke with a slight smile and she returned it then replied," That is true but you are now my supreme boss." "Even then. I want you to see me as the old Feng Shufen," he said and she nodded. "I was surprised to see you yesterday honestly. When did you come back?" "About a week ago," he replied and she nodded. "Uh, are you still friends with Tang Ning?" he asked. "Yes. She is my best friend," she stated much to his relief.
