CHAPTER 98

After finishing his work, Clementine removes his eyeglasses and checks the time on his pocket watch. It is already one in the morning. Since he already signed the remaining documents on his desk, Clementine put it all inside his drawer and stand up. He quietly leaves his office to go to his daughter's room to check on her.

Clementine is very careful with his movements to avoid disturbing his sleeping daughter. He sees Penelope curling on her bed and almost burying herself under the blanket. When she turned around, the stuffed rabbit beside her falls to the floor. Clementine smiles helplessly before he enters the room and placed the stuffed toy on the side table.

Penelope's lips are slightly pouted even when she's sleeping. Clementine tightly fixes the blanket on her body before tucking the hair that is covering her cheek behind her ear. Then he leaves a kiss on her forehead before leaving the room.
