His Dear Devilish Angel

------------------ After witnessing the cruel reality of the world at a very young age, she matured early. However, despite giving her everything, she couldn't save her family from myriads of schemes. she got used to the darkness so much to the point of subconsciously running away from light. Having been forced to wear his name since her 18th birthday, she was angered at the mere thought of him. yet knowing that it was his territory, she willingly walked in. ------------------- "I remember telling you my little fox, if you came back, your escape chances will be zero to none." he said as he gently outlined her jawline down to her neck and her clavicle with his jade like fingers. "Oh, and what makes you think you can control my life?" her eyes had the very same indifference she carried when she entered the room. seeing those eyes, his lips curved in amusement, he took hold of her right wrist and showed her the bracelet she was wearing. "Well, you already have my stamp on you, so... from your mind to your heart and from your body to soul, everything is under my ownership,.... all of you are mine, baby girl." her indifferent eyes instantly filled with anger and irritation. She glared at him and forcefully pulled her hand out of his grip. he chuckled dotingly at her reaction as he held her face in his palms and said, " Now that's my little fox with those bright eyes." -------------------

"Athena"

Su Lan sat in the corner lost in thoughts when Han Li and Su Yan returned.

"He is not worthy." suddenly said Han Li as she took wine glass from passing waiter and passed one to Su Lan.

They saw everything, but no matter from which angle one looks, there is nothing special about that guy.

"I know he is not worthy but..." Of course Su Lan knew better what kind of person Marcus is.

Cooper family is also a well-known powerful family, but it falls behind Su family and a calculating person like Marcus is after Su family's power. That's why when he proposed to Su Lan, she refused, but she liked him since high school. If not for him being so cunning they would have been together by now.

Su Yan choosed not to comment, he trusts that his sister is sensible enough to keep family matters in check.

Su Lan took the wine and decided to stop wasting her time on scumbag, taking a sip she turned her attention towards the party.

"Stay up guard against your cousin" suddenly voiced out Han Li as she glanced at wine glass in her hand. She would not have voiced out anything if it was just a simple jealous game between cousins, but she noticed how Su Xi gaze was malicious towards old man Su. And a hint of scheming light flashing through her eyes when she introduced Marcus just now.

Her words gained attention of both Su siblings.

"You mean Su Xi?" Asked Su Lan, Han Li didn't reply but simply eyed her, Su Lan met her eyes and fell into deep thought.

"I will ask Nok to keep tab on her" Su Yan was smarter than her sister since he knew better about their business. If any mishap occur their whole family could be whipped out. And having been aware of Su Xi's ambition he was always cautious against her.

Han Li would not have alerted them if it was a simple problem. It seems they have to keep an eye on this 'sister' of theirs. If viper's fangs are not removed in time, it can poison one to death.

"Nok? A new bodyguard?" Asked Han Li. Although bodyguards of Su family are trained under Han Li subordinates, she rarely inquires about them. Her subordinates are just responsible for their training, and background check is a Su family responsibility as they will not be working for her.

"Yes, his ability is superior to all others in newly trained squad. He is comparable to S rank mercenary" elaborated Su Yan while sipping his wine.

Han Li raised her eyebrows and nodded slowly.

As banquet continued, guests presented their gifts, eat dinner before making their way towards their houses.

After everyone left, Han Li presented her gift to grandpa Su, it was a amethyst ceramic Tang dynasty tea ceremony set.

"It was auctioned last month in the imperial capital, I knew you would love it, so I had someone auction it for you." said Han Li as she presented the box containing the set.

Grandpa Su was elated. He loves to collect tea cups or sets, but this is something only people close to him are aware of. He had been eyeing this purple amethyst tea ceremony for quite sometime but couldn't get it.

Opening the traditional tea container box, he took out a cup and carefully observed it. "Good"

Touching the smooth surface, he exclaimed again "Good! Come! Lili, follow this old man to study, let's set these precious treasures along side with others." he said, and carried box with him to the study.

Han Li just smiled and followed, leaving Su siblings behind. They were already used to this scene. It has to be known that old man Su's study is a restricted place for everyone in the family. But whenever Han Li wants, she can enter without permissions.

Han Li followed Grandpa Su in the study and they arranged the tea set on the shelves behind his study table, where his remaining collections were presented like priced trophies.

After arranging them grandpa Su asked Han Li to sit. He went to the right corner of study and removed the ancient painting hanging there, revealing the safe behind it.

Opening the safe, he took out a metal box. Returning to Han Li's side, he sat on the sofa in front of her and handed the box to her.

"This is what your grandfather left for you in my care." Said grandpa Su with a sad sigh. "I am truly grateful I was able to live till today to pass it to you"

Hearing it was something from her grandfather Han Li was curious, she took the box and eyed the password locker, it took her just a while to guess the pass code, her grandma's birthday.

She thought it was some precious gem or her grandma's personal handovers, but the box opened revealing the silver gun placed inside. Han Li trembled, her hands shook, she almost dropped the box

"Your grandfather said don't blame him for not telling you that it was with him, when you wasted so much time looking for it all around the world. He wanted to tell you, but its original owner didn't want it returned to you before you returned China. On his death bed you grandfather handed it to me saying I should give it to you when you decide to return."

Han Li silently listened, her eyes clouded and mind messed-up. She had been looking for this gun for whole 3 years. When she noticed she lost it, she almost went crazy, feeling like she lost someone dear to her.

Holding the gun he traced the alphabets on the handle named "Athena". No one knows how much this gun is precious to her, not just emotionally but also spiritually.
