Chapter 12 The little princess

Ed softly walked into his mate's room. She was sleeping soundly in the king sized bed enough to fit 20 of her size. He smiled her sweet scent assulting his senses but he was glad that he didn't have the urge to bite her and with light steps, he got to her bed and heard her soft snores. Sitting next to her, he softly tagged the hair that was on her eyes and put it behind her ear, later after watching her for a while, he got into bed and pulled her into his embrace.

He missed these moments when he could be with her freely! Sniffing her one last time, he closed his eyes as the fatigue he had blunder went finally took a toll on him knocking him out.

The next morning came in differently, the ambiance was warm and inviting as the sun rays sneaked into the cold castle. It shine upon the two innocent bodies cuddled up in the knig sized bed. The little one stirred awake and gave a cute yawn only to realise that she has been caged into someone's embrace.

She frowned and pouted. No wonder she felt her space had been invaded! Normally, it was Sarah that snuck up on her and slept in her room or on some occasions it was Belinda who was running away from Jes!

But this person didn't share the same scent, regardless of waking up in a sour mood, smelling the scent of the person, she had an Idea of who it was!

Ed! He was here?! He was ok?

Sneaking out of his hold, she rose from the bed to look at her most favourite person and it was indeed him. Clara's heart bloomed with sweetness which ended up with Ed being awarded with good morning kisses all over his face. But despite kissing him all over his face, the man wasn't waking up!

Clara got off the bed and went to open her curtains. All though from where she stood the room was rather giagantic, thanks to the blood she had been feeding on, her power wasn't to be underestimated. With one strong tug, she drew the curtains open allowing in the sun. Ed felt the light was too much for him and he frowned planning to look away.

Clara jumped back onto the bed almost choking Ed on his sweet dreams. He woke up with a startle and looked at the small figure kneeling in his stomach, her hands in his chest as she looked down on him with the biggest smile he had ever seen! He laughed looking at her toothless smile and bunny ponytails, her cheeks were super plump that most of the time he was afraid of touching her carelessly.

Ed!!!!!" she screamed and jumped into his arms for a hug. I'm so happy you came to see me!" she exclaimed her voice failing her as she cried. Have you ever had your favourite thing taken away from you? Clara knew the feeling! Despite being small, she was rather smart and sensitive most especially on matters concerning Ed.

Ed circled his arms around her small frame and coaxed her to calm down. He promised not to leave again and she withdrew slightly to look in his eyes. You promise?" she asked with beady teary eyes and it was so hard to resist her charm! Ed had to relent and make that promise. How wouldn't he?! This was his mate for heaven's sake!

Pink promise?" Clara held out her small pinky and Ed also held out his own with which the mates sealed the promise. If you break it, you won't be my favourite again!" Clara added a threat to ensure Ed kept his part of the deal!

Hearing her threatening him made Ed laugh out loud that his whole body shook. Only he kne how much he had been dying to get to spend moments like thes with her. Ok!" he nodded and rose from the he'd with his little mate in his arms.

It's already morning, my princess should prepare for the day right!" he said as she circled her small arms around his neck. Only if you fulfill another promise for me!" Clara negotiated.

Ok! What does her Highness want?" Ed asked as he smiled all the way heading to get the maids to help her shower.

I want to go to the city and visit the mall!" Clara said excitedly. She had seen the different games that were at the mall in the television show and she wanted to go see them. She had been to Disney land but she didn't enjoy much since she didn't really understand the thrill but now that she was 'old enough', she wanted to go back and visit that place again. Unfortunately for her, only Ed could take her that far, Sarah had told her numerous times and despite not really understanding, she always a cepted and waited for Ed to come.

Now that he was here, she want going to loose this great opportunity for the world! Luckily, she had woken up early and they could go to different places within a day!

Ed smiled hearing where she wanted to go. Ok!" he gave in to her request. He walked with her in his arms and his whole self changed with a warm aura. He found her maid was walking back to the her room and she was fast to bow to him. You Highnesses!" she greeted.

Mm." he replied curtly. "Help Clara have her bath and being her over to the dining room." He said and looked at his mate who had her arms stretched out to her nanny to take her from Ed...but she looked back at Ed. You won't go anywhere!" she looked at him suspiciously and he found himself smiling at her narrowed eyes. She was so cute!

The nanny was no different as she held in her laughter.

I swear on my heart!" Ed made an oath to which she nodded and went to her nanny's arms who received her happily.

Ed watched as his mate chatted happily with her nanny as they made the trip back to her room, he was so happy that the smile on his face didn't die down one bit.

If you keep smiling like that, you'll put the sun to shame!" Jes appeared from our of no where, all smart and regal. He surrounded his little brother inspecting him.

How's the thirst?" Jes asked looking at his brother who didn't mind him.

It's manageable!" Ed replied. And good morning to you brother!" he greeted sacarstically.

Well, you'll forgive my blunt manners but you thirst is more important for me than my morning! Apparently it wasn't that bad but not good either!" Jes said as she made lazy steps leading the way, Ed following behind.

I was out with Stephan and things aren't good! I'd advise that you refrain from travelling around alot! There are some made ones that have been put about to monitor your movements. I don't know who exactly but the new has been going around for a while now."

I have to take Clarabelle to the mall. il I already made a promise to her!" Ed said dismissively.

This made Jesper sigh. A promise to a mate! Was an unbreakable promise...even at the gates of death! You have to put her into consideration." Jesper spoke trying to help Ed see the bigger picture.

I'll be discreet." Ed said but later frowned. Why mist he be discreet? What had he done wrong to keep in hiding?' Being outspoken, he wanted to go back in his words but chose not to say a word! He was going to take his mate out to play and while there, anyone who'll cross him will be seeking death! He had seen the beauty of having a mate, he had tasted that sweet bond, something he hadn't got the chance to feel centuries back....they had better stay away from him!

Nanny, why are you always so cold? Are you running a fever? Should we call the doctors?" Clara asked as her nanny carried her down the flight of stairs. This was the 170th time she said those exact words! She couldn't help feeling sweet and warm for being cared for! Being a severnt for 300 years now, she had been used to serving the masters, though they took time to know how they were doing, that happened almost once in a century since they never really got sick or anything! But for the time he got this little one into her care the girl had been so caring that her frozen and numb heart felt like it could heat again. The feeling was so warming!

Princess!!!!" Belinda chripped as she went to collect Clara from her nanny.She had been dressed in a very cute bubnle pink floral printed dress and her hair had been held up in a high pony tail articulating her chubby cheeks and round face.
