Chapter 7

Sage lay in the small cave, trying to rest his exhausted body. But as he closed his eyes, he was once again transported to the void world. And this time, the memories that flooded his mind were more vivid and haunting than ever before.

He saw himself standing in the midst of a once-thriving town, flames engulfing everything around him. His teammates lay motionless on the ground, their lifeless eyes staring up at him accusingly. He could feel their anger and disappointment in him, their voices echoing in his mind.

"Why did you do this, Sage? We trusted you!"

"How could you betray us like this?"

Tears streamed down his face as he relived the pain and guilt of that fateful day. He remembered the rush of power he had felt, the uncontrollable urge to destroy everything in his path. And he remembered the fear and horror that had consumed him when he realized what he had done.
