***************************************

After the tsunami, Ryan spent some time on the island. Gwen had requested that they stayed there for a while as she wanted to learn more about close combat.

Ryan did try to teach her, but he was too soft when going against her—making her learn nearly nothing from fighting him. He did teach her the knowledge she wanted to learn though.

"Are you going to avoid me forever?" Ryan said to the blonde girl with the Oni mask that just finished her mission to bring down a child trafficking gang.

"I'm not avoiding you," Yelena said in an awkward tone. She did avoid him after he announced his engagement.

"Really? Then that's great as I had some neat stuff I want to share with the islanders," Ryan said to Yelena, one of his best friends. He needed to do some stuff for the wedding, and he needed help with that.

Park Shin patted Yelena's shoulder during the briefing, wondering how the smartest man in the world is too dumb to realize the other person's feelings.

In his free time, Ryan was chatting with his friend in the ITS system.

VampireKid: I almost shat my pants when he did that, that damn sadistic old man.

QueenElf: He did exchange his life for the sake of the other transmigrator. When he said that we may not be from the same earth, I then realized how big the omniverse really is.

KickBaal: I kept laughing when I remembered @Hydra's almost crying face lmao.

Hydra: I didn't cry! You cry! All of you cry!

TheDoctor: I didn't.

Mephisto: Me too.

GreenWitch: So that's it right? All of us are in Tier 3?

RedWidow: I think so.

Mythic: There are still others in Tier 2. I opened a new chat group for only us as some topics

cannot be shared with the lower tiers.

VampireKid: Will we get banned again?

RetiredMechanic: Hey guys I just finished an interplanetary war on my universe, what did I miss?

TheDoctor: @Hydra jumping into tier 3. He is laying low though, I am not sure why.

Mephisto: @Hydra, do you still haven't gone through all of the tier 3 rules yet? It's been a month!

Hydra: I am on a vacation at the moment. I did skim through the important part.

Mythic: You keep thinking about the big black rods penetrating your body?

Hydra: ... (Iwillkillyou.gif)

Hydra: Not anymore. But I do have the feeling that I am being watched.

That is also the reason Ryan is staying there right now. The island did manage to block whomever it is that is watching him. It causes him to be a little restless nowadays. He thought it was the ancient one, but it was not likely.

VampireKid: Merlin is still speaking?

Hydra: The video or simulation is still loading. It can be replayed right?

Mythic: It can. We can replay it whenever we want. Just like a youtube video.

Ryan entered the space inside his mind. The founder figure is frozen there as it has been for 3 weeks now.

When the founder spoke before, he was explaining to Ryan the quest purpose of the trading system. It stuck there before the founder could get to it.

It did move afterward, but Ryan couldn't experience it as the time in the simulation and the time in reality moves at a 1-to-1 ratio. His real body is limp when he gets into the video space, making him vulnerable. He couldn't bring himself to stay there for long as he couldn't do anything inside except for listening—which the stuck video had denied him.

RetiredMechanic: I know a guy that the video is still loading even when it has been 7 years for him.

Mythic: Like the founder said, "Time is an observer relative to the omniverse. Some people may have gotten the system during its early establishment. For others, a few billion years have passed."

VampireKid: Mine did load for a while, but I can replay it in a month.

The founder will give a personal message to each trader after the thank you video. Ryan wanted to hear that as he can get everything else from the other traders.

Hydra: So what was the purpose of the quest feature? It is stuck there. I can't wait any longer. (cry.gif)

Basically, the system will use the energy from the quest to create new channels for different universes. That is the way the system expanded itself. The energy from daily trade is used to maintain the system, so a new method is needed to add more members.

The new feature is added by the management after the founder is gone and the system is stagnant. The decision is made during the time mankind in Ryan's universe hasn't even learned to walk upright. If someone wants to become a manager and makes some changes to the system, they need to reach Tier 5 and 6 in the system marketplace.

During his conversation, he did check out the system's new interface and items.

"I can get advanced knowledge for some, and upper intermediate knowledge for most of the others."

In the Knowledge section.

> Upper Intermediate Spaceship Building - 3000 tc.

> Upper Intermediate Space Station Building – 5500 tc

> Upper Intermediate Gene Extraction Mixing – 1200 tc

> Upper Intermediate Static Field Analysis – 2000 tc

> Advanced Chemistry – 1200 tc

> Advanced Magical Potion making – 5000 tc

> Upper Intermediate Magicraft – 1220 tc

> Upper Intermediate Magitech – 5000 tc

> Advanced Kingdom Building – 2000 tc

Ryan checked his balance on the tc he has.

Currency: 10,446,333 tc

If it is converted to dollars, he had almost a billion dollars on the trading site. And he hasn't been exchanging gold for the currency in half a year.

"Well, most of it is from the plant serum," Ryan mumbles as he is satisfied with the numbers. The plant serum is a hot item in the trading site and is selling quickly. He checked that almost 10,000 people had pre-ordered the serum every month. For the post-apocalypse worlds, the serum can help them a lot.

"What new item I can get~"

Excited, he checked the item section on the trading site.

"Damn, inhuman gene serum. So some people did have the same idea as me."

He checked the first item that was featured at the top of the page. Then, he checked the seller's name.

"Oh, it is me," Ryan giggles after seeing his name as the seller.

He forgot that the gene serum can cross-tier to the upper ones. He didn't get a chance to buy something from the upper tier, however, as he is not the first one to sell it there.

There are also other quick strength increasing potions, such as;

¬ Random X-Gene serum (10 vials) - 2000 tc

¬ Esper Awakening Potion - 1200 tc

¬ Ant Strength Gene Potion - 6000 tc

¬ Spider Serum - 10,000 tc

¬ Deathstroke Super Serum - 1000 tc

¬ Supersoldier serum - 500 tc

¬ Lex Luthor serum - 7000 tc

¬ Compound V serum - 1500 tc

¬ Skill Book: Regeneration - 70,000 tc

¬ Skill Book: Elongation - 200 tc

¬ Perfect Oz serum - 17,000 tc

¬ Extremis Virus - 18,000 tc

¬ Meta Booster - 7000 tc

Ryan checks their limitations. Some can guarantee the safety of the users. Some did not. Some are focused on the cultivation world, and some are focused on superhero worlds. There is an infinite number of personal strength materials, in which he needed some time to find the best one for his close friends and family.

In the miscellaneous item categories, he also found some formulas and blueprints. Any one of which can be cause for war on his current earth. The spaceship blueprints, floating city blueprints, interstellar gate blueprints, quantum core blueprints, and more.

The blueprints and items can directly bring the earth to an interstellar level—and it will be a hard decision that Ryan has to make later on. As of right now, he didn't think that the earth should be faring into space.

Ryan bought some formulas such as the Adamantium formula, the Infinity formula, the Pym Particles formula, and so on.

"Damn, the level 3 marketplace is biiiiiig," Ryan whistled as he kept buying stuff. His funds will be empty at the end of the session, but he had no regret about it.

He even got some neat skills like Observation and Armament Haki, Atomic Slash, and so on.

VampireKid: Have you taken any quest or given one yet?

Hydra: I did give out several quests. But I didn't take any.

Mythic: Take your time. Don't rush into it.

RetiredMechanic: @RedWidow do you have the Death Star blueprints?

RedWidow: I finally got it! (shakingmyhead.gif)

Hydra: I want one too!

RedWidow: Nope! (lol.gif)

After getting teased by the group chat, Ryan is checking up on his company affairs.

"100 spies in two days, I am so popular…" Ryan mumbles in amusement. Countries from all over the world are trying to get the weapon blueprints from the New York War.

At this time, any member of the Knight Industry will find themselves getting hit on in a bar, extremely easy to get one-night stands from a beautiful woman outside of their level…or man. Whatever is necessary for the spies to get the information they need.

Too bad for the spies that Ryan didn't keep any information about the weapons in the company. His loyal subordinate also is keeping their mouth shut in this matter, making the spies sleep with them for nothing.

Inside the Knight industry building.

A man with an eyepatch walked into the lobby of the building after passing through the extremely strict security. Being patted down for weapons, the superspy almost had been stripped to his undies in the checkup. Not that the security is discriminating against him, but the scanner keep beeping when it scanned Fury.

Today, Nick Fury is meeting with Tim Knight after waiting for 2 weeks for the appointment. He is escorted by his trusted confidant, Maria Hill to the meeting.

Waiting for the lift, the duo is preparing themselves for the meeting. They are trying to get the Knight's support in building the Insight Carrier. Fury thought that by participating Knights in the project, he could fix the relationship between the two sides.

Stark is participating in the project and is creating a new repulsor for the Insight Carrier. He did it willingly as Fury had yet to share the purpose of the new carriers.

Fury glanced at the Knight security with one eye. It will be stupid for him to try and send spies to the Knight building. If he gets caught doing so, then all probability of reconciliation will be over. The over-the-top security will make it hard for the spy to do it subtly.

He can send the superspy – Natasha Romanoff to take care of the espionage, but considering Natasha's good relationship with Ryan, Fury considered it stupid to burn down all the bridges.

The elevator door opened up after a short wait. Some people started to come out of the door from the upper floor.

Maria Hill and Fury widened their eyes as they saw the woman who had just come out of the lift. The woman too is startled and surprised as she sees the duo, especially Maria Hill.

With the reporter tag of the World Wide News on her neck, Robin Sherbatsky had just finished interviewing Tim Knight about the feasibility of rebuilding Tohaka city which was destroyed by the tsunami. She wasn't sure why she got special treatment. Maybe Kai had talked about her to Ryan Knight, as they are the same member of the Avengers.

Although surprised, Robin just nodded politely at the agent, in which Maria Hill does the same.

'Oh my God. Is this how people feel when they look at me? It can't be denied anymore that I am HOT,' Robin thought to herself as she walked away.

'So that's why people called me Robin Sherbatsky, I didn't notice the similarities on TV, but we are similar in real life,' Maria Hill thought as she walked inside the lift with Fury.

Fury also had some thoughts, although it was not in the same direction as the ladies.

'Did someone perfect cloning technology? Or did Hill have a twin separated from her birth? I need to investigate this matter after this.'

Side Story 14: Dragon temple.

After meeting with Marduk, agent Phil Coulson is leading a team of his own to investigate the dragon.

His team consisted of Melinda May, Grant Ward, Leo Fitz, and Jenna Simmons. He did keep a position open if his agreement with Kai became possible in the future.

After investigating for three months, the team did find a suspicious place near the Andes mountain range. Their skills managed them to find special energy fluctuations after studying everything they could about Babylon and the Marduk name. Of course, their effort didn't escape Ryan's monitoring.

Trekking onto the mountainous area on foot, Coulson with his team and an additional person is heading toward the suspicious place.

"Time for them to enter the temple of Marduk," Ryan muttered excitedly to himself. He had planned a special surprise for them, and to teach SHIELD a lesson on angering a mysterious being with tremendous power that can kill them anytime he wanted.

Coulson and the team arrived at a stone gate with the sculpture of Marduk that they saw in history books that they researched. They also confirmed the history with a history expert named Sersi in the London Museum.

"It's truly here," Maria Hill said with hidden anticipation in her heart.

"Fitz. What does the hieroglyphic say?" Coulson asked as there were writings on the stone door. Fitz starts to analyze the writings with Jenna, and they manage to complete the analysis in a few short hours, while the others are battling the cold air in the mountains.

The door is impossible to be opened by normal means. They needed to put their hand on the door for them to be acknowledged and allowed to enter.

"To enter Marduk Temple is not an easy feat,

You must be quick on your feet, Not easy in admitting defeat.

The Dragon Marduk will test his Visitor,

A corrupted person will taint the sector.

Place your hand on the entrance, for a person that's true to their heart is the key to attain. "

Jenna finished translating the wording on the hieroglyphics.

"A person true to their heart?" Coulson mumbles as he tries to find the answer to the puzzle.

"Couldn't we just blow up the door?" Grant Ward asked. 'A person true to his heart.'

No matter how Ward thinks about it, he didn't think he could enter the temple. His decision is rejected by Maria Hill and Coulson, as they come here to try to help Marduk, not to anger him.

*Clang-clang*

"What is happening?" Melinda May asked as she looked toward the door, a few gaps opened up on the stone door, the size of a palm.

"I think we are supposed to place our hand here," Maria Hill said. Without hesitation, she places her hand on the indentation of the stone door.

Seeing that Hill is fine after placing her wants there, the others start to do the same thing. Although they are hesitating to do it, there is someone fearful instead.

Grant Ward tries to place his hand on the indentation, however, a bolt of lightning attacks him after he places his hand on the stone door.

"Ward!" Melinda May yelled. She tries to pull her hand away from the door, but it won't budge.

The rest are trying to do the same things and all of them got the same result.

"Wait, he is not dead," Coulson said as he noticed that Ward was still breathing. While they were struggling to break free, the stone door opened and swallowed them inside the temple.

"This is-" Hill said with her mouth agape. Inside the temple, they saw a mountain of bones and statues of the Dragon fighting a humanoid giant in the center of the temple.

The giant is a Celestial being that Ryan created based on his previous life memory. He hasn't met a Celestial in this life.

"How can we see the sky here?" Coulson muttered as he saw the vast blue sky above him. If the temple is built inside an open space, they should have gotten to see it through a satellite.

They were in awe as they looked at the inside of the temple. Melinda May is thinking about the reason that they managed to come inside when Grant Ward couldn't.

Standing underneath the 30-meter tall statue, the agents start to split up and try to find the traces of Marduk.

"Umbra witches? Lumen sage? What is all of that?" Jenna Simmons is reading the hieroglyphics that are written on another part of the temple, near the jail cell that couldn't be opened no matter how hard they tried.

Maria Hill is looking together with Jenna and the figure of the lone Marduk in her mind is deepened as she sees multiple statues of the so-called witches are now broken down.

"So, he had people to help him before," Hill whispered. The first line of defense of the world had been broken because of SHIELD's actions—that is what she thinks.

"Hey, over here!" Fitz suddenly called out to the rest of the group. He found something that he felt that everyone needed to see.

It was a few sculpted walls with the tales of Marduk. The walls are arranged in horizontal order, and Marduk feats are recorded inside of them.

The group is in shock after seeing the description of the walls.

Ryan is now fucking with the agents. He was showing the tale of Marduk VS Godzilla.

Marduk and Ultraman figure side by side.

Marduk met King Arthur.

Marduk in his Dragon form.

And many more fake lore.

"Are you seriously reporting to me…that Marduk had a fucking marriage with the motherfucking princess of Babylon, and had motherfucking Dragon babies?" Fury asked in disbelief after hearing the report from Maria Hill and Coulson.

'No matter how I look at it, this is fake ain't it?' Fury thought to himself. As far as he had gone in understanding the universe, Marduk and Cthulhu drinking beer side by side are too fake for him to agree with.

Maria Hill nods after submitting the report. She and Coulson also think that they are being tricked by Marduk. It seemed that the Dragon had anticipated them coming.

That night, Maria Hill returned to her agent quarters. She didn't have a house of her own, and she had been living with SHIELD since she was young. Fury took her in when she had lost her parents.

She always shared things with Fury. However, this time, she had kept something only for herself. After they had scanned the temple, the agents went back to research their findings. All of them left the area, except for Maria Hill. At that moment when she stepped outside the stone door, she turned back to see that Marduk was waving her off. His always uncovered face is only covered partly, and she can see his lips and nose.

He was giggling after all the agents left, making Hill know that Marduk is messing with them. She only caught a glimpse of him before the stone door closed automatically, and disappeared from the mountain range, never to be found again.

On her neck, there is a necklace with a small- finger size book instead of diamonds or emeralds. She took off the book locket, and it grew inside her hand.

The book cover had a white and black pattern, split directly in half.

The book is entitled: Umbra Witches and Lumen Sages - Beginner.

She hasn't managed to open it yet, but she can feel that it will open for her sometime in the future.
