"Avada Kedavra"

The green light almost reaches Harry, when Malfoy in his hurry and fear bumps into him and both are pushed aside by the onslaught.

Both of them were at the mercy of the figure who slid over the unicorn and rose erect. It advances towards Harry, who backs up, but trips. He crawls backwards.

Suddenly it was stuck with a rock, hitting his head. Hagrid repeats and throws another at the figure, who had the green light back at the tip of his wand.

There is the sound of hoof beats. A figure leaps over Harry and lands near the cloaked figure. It is a silver centaur called Firenze. It rears, and the cloaked figure retreats, flying away.

"You must leave. You are known to many creatures here. The Forest is not safe at this time. Especially for you Harry Potter."

"What was that?"

"It was drinking Unicorn's blood Firenze! It shot killing curses at us. Dumbledore must be informed." Firenze was alarmed at the mention of a Unicorn blood drinker.

"A cursed abomination is what it is Harry Potter. Killing the creature so pure is a crime against nature. Touching its blood with tainted lips curses the man- not a man. The abomination to have a cursed life. There are fates worse than death in this world, Harry Potter." The centaur looks in the sky.

"Mars is going through its twilight. Stay safe savour, the world can not afford to stay alive without the head of the 8th house." The centaur turned back to return to its fold.

"What did she mean?" Behind him was Malfoy, taken back by the events of the night.

"War is coming Potter. One which cannot be won without you. Tell me who could or would be the antagonist?"

"Volde-"

"The Dark Lord Potter. His name is a taboo." Harry looked at Draco suspiciously. Hagrid runs, takes both of them in his arms and starts running towards the castle.

"You can't tell-" 

"My father won't hear of this Potter. My mother has told me enough things about the Dark Lord that I fear him adequately. The Dark Lord Is not some kind and compassionate King of the purebloods. He is just a man with the simple aim of hoarding power...

...Much like Dumbledore."

Hermione, Harry and Ron are meeting in the common room.

"You mean You-Know-Who's out there right now in the Forest?"

"But he's weak. He's living off the unicorns. Don't you see? We had it wrong. Sn-someone doesn't want the Stone for himself. He wants the Stone for Voldemort. With the Elixir of Life, Voldemort will be strong again. He'll... he'll come back."

" But if he comes back, you don't think he'll try to kill you, do you?" "He nearly killed me tonight."

"Hang on a minute." Harry and Ron both glance at her. "We're forgetting one thing. Who's the one wizard Voldemort always feared? Dumbledore. As long as Dumbledore is around, Harry, you're safe. As long as Dumbledore is around, you can't be touched." She gives him a reassuring smile; he nods.

"But he won't be Dumbledore needs to go to the emergency Winzegamot session tomorrow! It's all over in the prophet!" (changed this in prev chapter it was ICW, canonically ICW was when Harry was giving term-end exams but this all is happening on 27th December, timeline has come forward)

True to his word, today's prophet was all about the Emergency Wizengamot session. spearheaded by the head of the DMLE for confidential reasons.

"What do we do?" Rons speaks, almost shouting in panic.

"Calm down Ronald. Dumbledore is not gone. He will be going tomorrow. We must meet him now."

"But it's past curfew!" Harry gave a deadpan stare.

"Curfew or Voldemort reviving! I think we need to set our priorities straight."

The trio walks out of the room under Harry's cloak. Not knowing where the headmaster's office was, Hermione suggested going to Professor McGonagall, as she was after all their head of the house.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron run into the Transfiguration classroom to talk to McGonagall.

"We have to see Professor Dumbledore, immediately!"

"What are you doing here past Curfew? I expected better from you Ms. Granger. I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here. He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately for London."

He's gone? Now? But this is important! This is about the Philosopher's Stone!" Minerva became Pale at the mention of the stone.

"How do you know...?"

"Sn-" "Someone's going to try to steal it!"

"I don't know how you three found out about the Stone, but I assure you it is perfectly well protected. Now go back to your dormitories if you would like to have a light punishment for breaking the curfew." Minerva locked them out and closed her door, leaving the trio to walk back while talking.

"If Voldemort was there in the Dark forest, he would definitely go for the stone! More so when Dumbledore is not here and he drank Unicorn's blood tonight!" Ron again lost colour at the mention of the Unicorn's blood.

"What do we do? We don't know where the stone is, the Professors are not believing us when the head of Gryffindor didn't, and Voldemort would be back tomorrow!"

"What if we go to Professor Yeager? He has a reputation for helping students."

"Hermione! Be serious. The man is an amputee! and not even a Professor! We would have a better chance fighting Voldemort without him than with him!"

"No, Ron. She might be right. Mr. Yeager is the only one who could help us if you don't want us to go to Hagrid?" 

"Besides Dumbledore must have hired him thinking something. I saw the job requirements for the post- it was at least 5 OWLS with an EE or 3 NewTS with EE."

"Let's try this, but I am telling you it would be better if we go ourselves."
