Christmas

The entire castle went to sleep early in hopes of bringing the next day to them even faster. Nick ended up waking up at around five thirty in the morning as his magical senses picked up on a sudden shift in the dorm room. Seeing the piles of presents at the end of each of the beds he figured out that it mas merely the house elves delivering the christmas presents. Checking the time he could only sigh and get up thirty minutes before he normally would and get dressed before quickly making his way to the top of the astronomy tower.-

He made it just in time to watch as the sun rose from from the east and bathed the land in red , purple and yellow for the briefest moment. 'Always worth it to see the rising of the sun just as it is to see it set.' he thought with a smile. He took his time walking back to the common room since he had plenty of time before people started to wake up. He made sure to stop by the workshop to wish Helena and Steve a merry christmas.-

After that he went back into the common room and into the dorms right as Ron , Neville and Harry were starting to stir. Nick merely transfigured a chair next to his own presents with a smile and waited for the inevitable excitement to come over the boys. Neville was the first fully awake and active as he eagerly dove into his presents without even noticing that Nick was up. He didn't get much but what he did get seemed to make him light up as he had tears in his eyes and a wide smile as he held a letter that was attached to one of his four gifts.-

Nick usually didn't like prying but he managed to catch a few words with his good vision that told him all he needed to know. {They awoke on....} He looked away after that as even though this was his doing he refused to take any credit for it and merely knowing was enough to satisfy him. 'What's the point of knowing how to help if you refuse to act?' he thought with a smile. Ron and Harry both woke up fully at the same time but Ron was the most animated out of the two as he tore into the wrapping of the gifts ruthlessly.-

Harry seemed stunned that he got presents at all and vocalized it "Will you look at this? Ive got some presents!" he said surprised. Ron snorted "What did you expect , turnips?" he said sarcastically. Harry grabbed the first of the presents and un wrapped it revealing a wooden flute that he blew into creating a sound much like an owl. The next gift was the sweater sent by missus Weasley that was a thick emerald green sweater that he put on immediately with a smile.-

After that was Hermione's gift of chocolate frogs then Tracy's of every flavored beans. Daphne's present was a book of the pureblood potter family. Ron's jaw dropped when Harry unwrapped the invisibility cloak though. "I've heard of those," He said dropping the box of every flavored beans he had gotten from Hermione. "If that's what I think it its .... They're really rare and REALLY valuable." he said seriously. "It's an invisibility cloak." Nick said finally cutting into the conversation. Both of the boys looked at him startled "Bloody hell , almost lost my skin just now!" Ron complained. Nick shrugged "If you had been paying attention you'd have noticed that I've been here since you woke up." he said casually.-

"Besides that I imagine that note should say who the cloak is from." Nick said pointing at the paper that had slipped out of the cloak when Harry held it up. The boy who lived lifted the note up and read it out loud but looked confused and surprised when he did so. "Must be Dumbledore , he's the only person who would have had the cloak for so long." Nick said directly ousting the old man's mysterious act with the whole not leaving his signature thing he did.-

"My gift is below that cloak by the way" Nick said with a smile. Harry moved the cloak aside and indeed there lay the shimmering green bracelet with a neat bow on it. "Much like your ring that's no mere accessory but rather will defend you should it need to." Nick said seriously. Ron looked jealous for all of the two minutes it took for him to unbox the hand forged dragon steel wizards chess set that Nick had made him in all it's gleaming metallic glory. He fell in love with the pieces immediately and looked eager to give them a spin.
