Azkar saw innocence in the child's eyes while he cried. Azkar also knows that he is not a hero who helps people from the bottom of his heart. But still, Azkar knows that he was not going to gain anything from this child, even if this child decided to sell his soul to him. Still, it has no worth to him. But he decided to help this child. He wanted to know what wish this child will ask.
"Mr., you're really going to fulfill my wish?" Evelyn said while looking at Azkar.
"Of course. You can ask for anything except reviving your dead family," Azkar said, observing Evelyn still crying on the carpet.
"I understand. Thank you, Mr., for sparing my life. I'm grateful to you. I don't need any wish other than reviving my family," Evelyn said as he stopped crying, and his eyes became lifeless once again.
"Hahaha, what a good kid you are. I like your answer. Let me show you something," Azkar said. After saying this, he thought about his wings and halo. He couldn't use the full god mode; otherwise, this child would surely be overwhelmed by the pressure. So, he decided to show him his wings and halo.
RUMBLE!
The whole room was bathed in multicolored light, and seeing this light, Evelyn closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, he saw something beyond his imagination.
Azkar is floating inside the room , his figure donned in an all-encompassing black robe adorned with celestial infinity symbols. He's wearing a white full-face mask, revealing only his eyes—red with the Metatron's Cube symbol in both pupils representing the Origin Codic Particle. His long, flowing white hair magnifies his divine aura, while large white Wings of Codic Origin open gracefully behind him. A short black halo spins gracefully above his head, causing time and space to behave differently in his presence.
"God," Evelyn rubbed his eyes, but even so, the being in front of him didn't disappear.
[[ Flashback ]]
"Mother, where are we going?" young Evelyn asked his mother.
"We are going to the temple of God, my child," Evelyn's mother replied.
"Mother, what does God look like?" young Evelyn asked his mother.
"My baby has grown up. Let me tell you, God has beautiful white wings, and they have a halo above their head. You'll see when we go to the temple," Evelyn's mother replied.
[[ Flashback End ]]
Evelyn was kneeling in front of Azkar because he had heard many things from his mother. Even so, he lost all hope when he lost his family and was sold as food. He had hated gods, but right now, he was seeing something completely different, and he couldn't bring himself to hate the being in front of him.
"You can ask for a single wish, my child," Azkar said, pretending to be a god and using a similar tone.
"Can I really ask for anything?" Evelyn said, looking at Azkar, who was floating inside the room.
"Yes, you can," Azkar said, maintaining his tone.
"Please revive my family," Evelyn said, hoping his wish would be fulfilled.
"No, I said this before, my child, your family is dead, and it's taboo to revive the dead," Azkar said, thinking, "Damn, I have to lie to a kid. It's not like I cannot revive them. The thing is, the process of reviving the dead is taboo here, and it's really a difficult task. Also, even if I revive them now, if the situation on this planet continues like this, everything is going to be meaningless."
"But you're a god, right? Why can't you fulfill my wish?" Evelyn said, with a teary face.
"..."
"Damn! This child is an expert in crying. What should I do now? It's not like I'm some kind of genie. Of course not, I cannot fulfill wishes like I thought, it's become real. I have to personally do the task myself to complete this child's wish. But what should I say to him? I'll never make this kind of promise to someone again," Azkar thought.
"What are you going to do if I revive them, and they die again?" Azkar said, wanting to hear his opinion.
"I'll protect them myself," Evelyn said, having stopped crying.
"How? You're so weak; you can't even protect yourself," Azkar asked.
Hearing this, Evelyn didn't find anything to say and understood that it's no use if he cannot protect them. But he made up his mind and decided to ask something else.
"Give me unlimited power," Evelyn asked for his wish.
"There is no such thing as unlimited," Azkar said, thinking, "Damn, this child is so smart."
"Unlimited mana," Evelyn asked.
"Not happening," Azkar replied, thinking, "How come this kid has ridiculous wishes."
"I don't need anything then," Evelyn said while doubting Azkar's identity.
"..."
"Okay, I'll give you my word that one day, if you become strong enough to protect your loved ones, I'll revive your family. Also, ask for a wish that is not ridiculous," Azkar said while seeing Evelyn, who was busy crying.
"Really? Then give me a powerful innate ability," Evelyn said with a happy face, brightened after hearing Azkar's answer.
"You already have an innate ability," Azkar replied, thinking, "If I give him an innate ability, then his soul will not be able to handle two abilities at the same time."
"Please give me something that can help me in my cultivation," Evelyn asked.
Hearing this, Azkar got a pretty good idea because fulfilling one wish and granting a second wish is an entirely different thing. Now he could also gain something from him.
He thought about his [Absolute Sin] Ultimate Authority.
[Harbinger of Sin]: As the original and absolute sin, the user can appoint each sin to a person, making that person a harbinger of that sin and granting them access to the standard version of that sin authority. If the harbinger is killed, the sin authority returns as a charge to this authority, allowing for a new harbinger to be chosen. The user can reclaim a sin at any time.
This is the ability he got from this Authority, and he can assign a sin authority to a person of his choosing. However, Evelyn is currently so weak, but he has a good idea.
"Assign Evelyn Stardust as the Harbinger of Gluttony, and use my one 'Origin Codic particle.' Put this into his very soul and origin, then use the Sin of Gluttony to create a mini system for him, and connect this system to the main system. Help him grow stronger until he's able to use the Sin of Gluttony Authority by himself," Azkar said to his system.

[Binding the Devour System to the host Evelyn Stardust 1%.... 2%...]
"..."
Evelyn was thinking about everything that happened to him till now, and now that he has hope of meeting his family again. Suddenly, he heard a voice in his brain.
[[You have been chosen as the host of Devouring System]]
[[System is now binding itself to your very existence]]
[[10%....20% 30%....100%]]
[[Binding Successful, Say "Status" to check your numerification Data]]
"..."
"What is this? Is this the god's gift?" Evelyn didn't think for even a second; he said,
"Status"

"If you become powerful enough to protect the people you care about, then you'll be able to contact me, and I'll fulfill your true wish," Azkar said while he waved his hands, and Evelyn disappeared from the room.
Azkar sent him into the Zenith Empire, where dragons and humans had a pretty good relationship, and Evelyn would be able to experience something other than suffering in his life.
Now that everything is done, Azkar also reverted to his disguise form and lay down in his bed. He didn't know why, but even though he tried hard, he couldn't help from the bottom of his heart. Every time he assisted someone, it was either to gain something from them, to play it cool, or indirectly to benefit himself.
"
He came to understand that his personality has changed completely after he died. He tried to forget about this, but today he realizes that even when he helped an innocent kid without a motive, in the end, he indirectly decided to get something from the child.
"Forget it. There is nothing you could do about it. Accept everything the person you've become and move on to achieve your dream," Azkar said to himself."
