Guardian of the Pacific: The Incredible Adventures of the Giant Turtle

The boy woke up as a giant turtle in the Pacific Rim. This is a story about a guy with a good moral compass. If you want to read how MC destroys cities and sinks ships, then this fanfic is not for you. There will be no magical transformation back into a human. This is my first fanfic. English is not my native language, so I used a translator. In the first chapters, I used GPT for some paragraphs of text, but the result is not satisfactory. Then everything is manual work. I do not own the rights to the universe and characters in this story.

What is this thing?!

A strange creature floated at the bottom of the ocean. It was quite large, and all over its body were glowing blue dots. He had many thin legs with which he scooped up water to swim. Holding on to the very bottom of the ocean, it seemed that he was just running along the bottom.

It had only been two months since the last Kaiju attack, and the appearance of such a creature was unexpected and mysterious. The creature moved quickly, making strange scraping and crunching sounds. No one could detect or notice this creature. It deftly avoided any means of detection, sometimes even froze in place, not moving, merging with the bottom of the ocean.

After traveling for a long time, he came across another monster lying at the bottom of the ocean, crushed by stones. There was eye contact between them, and silence reigned. They knew each other, but each of them had their own mission, and they had nothing to say to each other (of course, they could not speak).

The kaiju, crushed by the stones, turned its head, indicating the direction of movement, and the unknown creature immediately swam there. After several hours, he came across a building built on top of an underwater mountain. The monumental structure with thick walls made of solid stones was an impregnable fortress that no one could overcome silently. But not this creature.

While still under water, the creature leaned its face against the wall. It seemed that a blue light began to shine from her mouth, and the stone slowly melted under the influence of the light. Quietly and slowly he passed through the dense stone, he had nowhere to hurry, and silence was a priority.

POV: Torterra

After the battle, I rested peacefully in my house. The house was not yet completed, because the prison for the caterpillar was still missing. But most likely, I will make a separate extension on the side of the foundation, somewhere under the water.

My wounds had already healed, so it was possible to start doing something. The plan was to complete the house and sail around the world in search of sources of radiation. It was clear from Marshall's words that the double drift technology already exists, which means that people can handle all the problems themselves for now. The next 4 years will be under the full control of the Jaegers, and there should be no problems.

As I lay dozing, I felt something beneath me. Some strange vibrations in the floor of my house. Getting up, I looked at the floor. It was dark and I could barely see anything. Because I walled up the passage, light did not enter the room. But the floor started to glow.

This alarmed me a lot. At first the floor glowed orange and the stone began to melt, then the color changed to blue, and then the stone exploded, leaving a small hole in the floor.

"It's an attack!" I realized quickly. But it was too late. A creature of a strange shape began to climb out of the hole, on whose body many blue lights shone, like stars. Gathering air into my lungs, I exhaled my orange flame directly into the opening in the floor.

RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

It was necessary to strike first and not allow the creature to completely crawl out of the hole. The entire room lit up with an orange light, the temperature in the room rose rapidly, and the walls around it began to heat up and glow. In the closed space, the heat had nowhere to go, and the room turned into an oven.

Strong streams of orange fire poured into the opening, melting everything. The creature began to scream in pain, making the sound of a swarm of insects burning alive. "Great, I reacted in time!" As I thought this, something stung me from behind. Turning around, I noticed two more holes in the floor. While I was concentrating on my fire, I missed the attack from behind.

Two more strangely shaped creatures have already climbed out of these holes. They immediately moved towards their prey and hit him in the back.

These creatures were like a sticky substance when they bit me from behind, I quickly turned around and punched, but I was unable to repel the enemy. From the blow of the fist, a piece broke off from the creature, which flew around the room, but upon closer inspection, these pieces turned into small bugs, which immediately began to run back to their main body. It was a swarm of bugs!

The horror grew in my heart. Each of these creatures had their mouths and eyes glowing. They were thousands of beetles with plasma cutters capable of melting rock.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRHHHH

I screamed in pain as these bugs completely enveloped me. Everything happened too fast. They crawled over my body and cut me to pieces. I waved my hands, trying to get them off, but it was no use.

The room was still red-hot from the fire, and its walls still glowed orange. In the illuminated and fiery space, thousands of small creatures cut Torterra to pieces. It was a scene from hell.

In desperation, I released the flame again, but directed it at my feet, burning the creatures. But that didn't help much because they ran away from fire and were fireproof enough to withstand collateral damage from the room's temperature.

I was in fire completely. The fire I emitted enveloped me completely and protected me from the bugs for a while. The creatures got off of me and started running around the room, but when I needed to take a break from the fire breath, they charged at me again.

They were getting between my armor plates and cutting through my skin. Some bugs were even able to crawl under the armor, trying to get to the internal organs.

AAAAAAA

I screamed again in pain. Despair filled my heart. The fire didn't help much, the creatures were too fast. I have already trampled and crushed many of them, and burned many, but there are still too many left.

I again let fire on me to burn at least some of these beetles, but I could not reach those that had crawled under the skin with my fire. That was the end. My mind clouded over in desperation and I started beating the walls to get out of this room. I let out more and more fire.

At some point I wanted to burn myself from the inside. It seemed like a better alternative than being eaten alive. So I closed my mouth but continued to release my fire. Inside the mouth, everything was on fire, and this flame began to descend down the throat to the middle of the body.

Inside, everything was burning and burning, it seemed that the lungs and stomach would now turn into coal, but in fact, this heat began to spread throughout the body. My skin began to become covered in orange webs and the plates of my armor began to glow.

I didn't have the strength to think about what was happening, but I felt a kind of relief inside me. The creatures that crawled under the skin stopped biting so hard, so I took a deep breath and repeated the process. I closed my mouth, and with all the strength I had, I let out fire. Once again, the heat sank into the middle of my body, and the glow of my armor intensified.

I continued to pour energy into the fire. I could feel all the accumulated energy from the radiation begin to be released. In a moment, my body was shining like the sun. I could no longer contain the fire in my body and opened my mouth, screaming and letting the fire out.

AAAAAARRRRRHH

BOOOOOOOOMMM

A loud explosion rang out inside the closed building. A bright light shone between the cracks of the brick, and the brick itself turned red from the heat. Everything happened quickly and in one moment the brick cracked and flew for many kilometers around, like a fiery meteorites that lit up the night sky. Debris falling into the water produced a hissing sound and large waves.

The house was gone. On the site of the building in the deep molten crater stood Torterra. He was still glowing from his high body temperature. The stone around him is molten and cracked, and ocean water began to flow from the cracks, immediately evaporating.

There were no bugs around, they turned to dust during the explosion.

Breathing heavily, he sat down on the floor. "It's over, I need to calm down!" His hands were shaking from the shock and fear he experienced. He tried to calm down, but it didn't work. Even though he is now a giant powerful being, inside he is an ordinary person, and the psychological trauma feels like he is just a human without any power. After appearing in this world, he felt emotions exactly the same as when he was human: fear, pain, various desires, pity and sadness.

"I need to absorb more radiation." This is the next thing to do now. It will be dangerous to stay in one place all the time. "And I will definitely never sleep again!"
