Chapter 134: Mutants Vs The World Part 9

Harley hovered above the numerous individuals gathered with a grin on her face. This caused Magneto to show a visible frown but he didn't fall raised his hand towards Harley before forcefully repelling the strange guns she held out of her hands.

"Way to ruin the mood..." Despite being disarmed she didn't look the least bit deterred which caused Magneto to remain cautious.

"Didn't you read the report, don't approach the guy if you have anything magnetic on your body." Slade soon appeared near Harley and advised but she simply shrugged.

"And who might you people be?" Magneto didn't falter as he asked Slade and Harley this question but neither of them gave a answer.

"All you need to know is that we're here to fight." Slade answered before charging towards a specific Burly individual while Harley went to collect her bat.

Just like that a huge battle had broken out, but any member of Leviathan who saw this battle would find it strange as Harley and Slade were visibly struggling in the fight alongside the X-men.

Harley's guns had even been picked up and were now being used against them so it wasn't long until Magneto managed to breach into the building.

"If you won't allow the children to leave, then they'll die today before they can used as the weapons of man." Magneto declared without hesitation as the foundations of the large building they hid in began to tremble.

Considering it was largely metallic, they soon realized it was a death trap. Victory looked all but assured and Magneto smiled confidently at the thought.

Meanwhile Arias was currently standing in a dark ruined office with a panicked individual before him.

"Y-you won't get away with this!" The man declared but the fear in his voice was clear. Behind Arias numerous guards and individuals had fallen while some were directly killed.

"Washington is currently in a state of darkness so no one we'll be arriving here quick enough to save you if I choose to end your life and your family's." Arias revealed plainly and the man grit his teeth in anger and in defeat. "What do you want..." he asked hesitantly bringing a small smile to Arias.

"Free all incarcerated mutants. I broke in here once, I can do it again. Remember that Mr. President." He warned before leaving the office and approaching two unfamiliar women.

"Is it done Mr. Leviat-I mean Sir Magneto?" On of the women asked while facing Arias but he simply waved his hand, changing both his and there appearance, revealing Raven and Kara.

"It is." He replied before looking back at the office, Raven however seemed to have her doubts. "How come we're sparing him and everyone here?" She asked a bit confused and although Kara preferred not killing at heart, she too wandered why not a drop of blood was spilled tonight.

Little did Raven know that far away from earth, just above the surface of the sun, Àpeiro who was showing what was occurring to Nearíthea received the same question.

"That will only create more problems, Your father would like this matter to end as soon as possible. With this threat, they'll realize Magneto needs to be stopped and mutants will face stricter and harsher treatment but they'll also realize they need to fight back. I feel the apex is soon approaching." She explained ceasing to show her what was occurring. Nearíthea showed a pout at this and crossed her arms in displeasure as she obviously wanted to see more.

"No fair, how come you can see daddy whenever and I can't?" She complained with her brows furrowed but Àpeiro simply shrugged. "Perhaps you're lacking in training, try harder and you'll even be able to tell what his thinking like me." After marinating her in sweet promises, Nearíthea was energetic once more and she dove into the sun without hesitation.

Àpeiro let out a chuckle and hovered comfortably in the air while observing Arias keenly. 'I could never tire of this....'

Back on earth, Arias had returned to his office on the floating city with Kara and Raven. Upon arriving, Kara furrowed her brows ever so slightly and turned to Arias. "Slade are the others aren't back yet?" She asked, still a bit curious about the mission and wanting to assist anyway she could.

"You're able to sense everyone's presence?" Arias replied with a question of his own to which she nodded. "I can but not passively, it takes a bit of effort and I'm limited to a certain range." Kara explained with her figure straightened as if she were a soldier.

"I see, well then you two are dismissed for now. I'll be gone for a few days so Dr. Veritas will be in charge, till I return they'll be no leaving the city for anyone. Inform everyone on her behalf." Arias suddenly announced and before Kara could say a word, his figure vanished from the room.

"Hmm? Did you perhaps miss me?" Àpeiro asked in a playful manner as Arias's figure appeared right behind her. "You're the one observing my move." Arias retorted as he hovered closer to her slowly.

"You can only blame yourself for being a workaholic father and partner. Leaving the poor mother to raise their child alone, woe is me." Àpeiro shrugged and feigned sadness in her voice.

"Well I'm here now, I've hidden my aura as well so Nearíthea won't be interrupting ei-" Before Arias could finish his attempt at reassuring Àpeiro, Nearíthea burst out of the sun with explosive energy and yelled out.

"Daddy!" Her voice echoed far and wide leaving numerous people and races confused. It was only when she turned to Arias that she calmed down and rushed up to hug him.

"Did you really think she'd sit still if your aura suddenly vanished?" Àpeiro teased with a smirk on her face, Arias sighed while stroking his daughter's hair gently.

How could he know she always locked on to his very presence?
