King.

Rui found himself in a dark space, suspended as if he was in oil. He tried swinging his arms to no avail. He starts panicking, but quicky relaxes as he sees a bright light appear before his face.

It appeared to grow bigger and bigger before it completely overwhelmed his vision. He shut his eyes and turned his face away.

He opened his eyes again, and the then dark space became white, presumably from the bright light.

Rui hadn't felt anything like these before. It was different from the other feelings he vividly remembered. The first feeling he recalled was comforting, and so was when he was in the rain.

This time was more… warm. He wasn't covered by the most comfortable blanket, nor the fluffiest dog. It was more of the warmth of loving human. A mom who hugged her child. A kid who hugged their beloved pet. A grandmother who hugged her husband to sleep.

It was a feeling he hadn't felt since as a young child. He remembered it… the hug.

It was from Garou, who found him as a young child after heroes destroyed his home and took the lives of his parents.

"Are you done reminiscing?"

Rui, who didn't know his eyes were shut, opened them again at the sound of the voice.

He looked around as his eyes darted every single spot around him. His movements became more free and started to swim.

"Are you done reminiscing?" the voice asked again.

Feeling compelled to answer, he replied. "Yes. Who… who are you?"

"The one who sent you here."

Catharsis swirled in him. He was mad that he was sent here with no objectives, yet happy that he finally got to meet the one who sent him here. He could ask him the way back.

"Really? I have a question."

"I sent you here for only one reason."

The question was answered before he could utter it, much to the surprise of Rui.

"This is my domain. I know everything, everywhere, everybody who appear here.

I sent you here because I need to.

I need you to take over this world for me, for I am not allowed to meddle in the affairs of the underlings."

"Why? Why me, and why do I have to do this?"

"Rui Hachimura, your fate is to always be the king. It has been, and will always be. I am here to help you."

Genuinely surprised, his thoughts could only be filled with the words 'fate' and 'king'.

"Rui Hachimura, the one fated to be King, there can be no more that can be explained. You will find everything out soon. In the meantime, I will make your journey easier."

Rui felt something lifted from him. Like a spirit, or a part of him was stolen from him. Then, he felt more powerful, with energy surging through his veins.

This surge in new power made him feel like he was a pedestal above the rest. Like he was on a throne, looking down on his subjects.

"A tip, Rui." Rui looked up at no particular person. "You are not Garou, don't act as him."

Rui jolted up from his bed with sweat beads down his forehead and chest. The powerful feeling was still there, yet more potent. His arms felt so light it was like he could move them at lightspeeds. His punching power he suspects, is magnitudes stronger than before.

"Don't act as him…"

Rui mulled over the main things he recalled from meeting with that being. Mainly, not acting as Garou, and the fact with him being King.

Not acting as Garou was fairly easy to comprehend. All it means was to not think of him when figuring out his next mode of action. He admitted to himself that that was exactly what he had been doing. It was all he was thinking when living here.

Knowing and actually doing it were two different things, however. How could he forgot the man who saved his soul when heroes forgot about him?

But another thing haunted his mind even more so than the thought of forgetting Garou

"King… what is it about me to become King?"

The classes from the forest training were ecstatic. The time for the Provisional License Exam were around the corner, and they couldn't wait.

But what accompanied the ecstatic feeling side by side was anxiety.

This exam was notorious for failing 50% of all participants. Not to mention, the fact that they had to face off other people from other schools only add to the uncertainty that was present in their minds.

Nonetheless, they trained hard day and night preparing themselves for the exams.

On the day of the exams, their mood was lifted when they were reminded by their teacher that if they were from U.A, they are one of the best students vying for the license.

They walked in to the exams like they owned the place.

"Tomura… what are you thinking…"

All For One rests in his cell unshaken about the fact that he was strapped tightly and watched over 24/7.

What he was stirred by however, was the raging disobedience Tomura had displayed lately. As a man who waited a hundred years for his revenge, his patience was wearing thin.

He was trying to find out why Tomura decided to stay away from him more and more. His attitude was very obvious in the recent meetings he had through the screen.

He can only attribute it to the fact that it was all due to Rui Hachimura.

"That wretched bastard."

Yet another filler story, basically a continuation of the previous chap. sorry for filler again lol. school starting again tho… so not sure about future chapters regularly.
