After I healed myself from my-not so warmly-welcoming, in which I almost turned Tamnrell into Noctur's lunch, we finally decided to return home.
The journey was rather uneventful. Well, mostly because we ended up using my new partner's help for it.
Regardless, it gave me the opportunity for payback from the earlier dick move.
You don't shoot an adventurer's knee like that and expect to go away unpunished...
And so, among my laughter and the children's screams, especially Tamnrell's-since I may, or may not, have instructed our ride to shake where he was seated a bit-, we quickly arrived at the woods.
But my transport, due to his size. Had to stay at a rocky river about 600 meters away from the children's lair.
He didn't seem to mind it, so all's good.
If I need him to come to my side, I just have to whistle loudly. Since he has very sharp hearing and, as I experienced it first hand, pretty fast speed too...
"I-I hate you *Urgh," Stated my queasy hunter friend.
My ears twitched, "Ahh, the sweet sound of a well-delivered revenge~" I sang happily, ignoring his, more than usual, green face.
If you gonna hit the king, you better kill the king, boyy!
"*RUHH!* Y-You still mad about that? You healed hours ago, already" He spoke while trying not to puke in the presence of his kin.
This Motherfuc-"YOU SHOT. MY FUCKING. KNEE!!" I snapped.
"That's no: 'Hey, sorry for making you trip down! Here, have some snickers!' kinda situation. Oh no, it's a 'Hey, sorry for fucking your crush and kicking your dog, here's a napkin. Go cry yourself in the corner'" My eyes glowed, "So yeah! Sorry if I'm bloody LIVID about it" I rapidly shot at him.
Tamnrell recoiled, "Sorry? What's a snicker anyway, and what do you mean by a crush?" He chuckled, a bit confused.
"It's candy. And your destiny one." I explained, "Point is, stay away from my explorer's knee. I don't wanna end up as a nobody, guarding a keep somewhere..." A shiver ran through my spine.
Damm guards...
"Will do. But why a guard?" He asked, nonplused.
"You don't have the necessary culture to know it," I scoffed,
He just rolled his eyes at me.
Guess now is a good time as any other to ask him about my plan...
I stood beside him, calling his attention. "Say, if I was too, I don't know, hypothetically raid the pirates in the Shore's Isles. Would you help me do it?" I mysteriously proposed
.
He stopped breathing deeply while in a sitting position, as to better alleviate his nausea. Eventually, he raised his head and looked deeply at me...
"Hypothetically? Sure, I would help you. Probably not in a direct battle, but with my bow. Not as a protector of these woods, but as your only friend" he smirked, surprising me.
Frankly, I have only known him for two months. Though I guess amidst the teachings and nights around a campfire, we end up getting somewhat closer...
No homo.
"Heh, didn't think you put me so highly in your small head," I returned the smirk, he's really a trusted companion.....wait.
I narrowed my eyes at his dying figure, "What you mean by 'only' friend?! I'll have you know, I got plenty of friends" I'm not a lonely emo boy without social interactions....right?(AN: Totally me)
His head shook slowly, "Art, I hate to disappoint you. Your befriended beast companions can't exactly be called 'friends'" He explained with pity.
"Wha-But you just said 'befriended'! How can you mean two opposite things at the same time?" I exclaimed, deeply offended by such an outrageous sentence.
"Well....correct if I'm wrong. But you can't exactly call someone your true 'friend' when a god is directing that said someone to 'befriend' you," He calmly explained, "Of course, that doesn't apply to every animal that follows you. Like your hare or your mount," Added him, "Nonetheless...yeah. They're the essence of it." How...
My world was starting to fall apart at every word he spoke...
"Now, that doesn't mean they're being forced to follow you. And you can still get to know them better afterward, So you're not that hopeless" He tried to explain himself.
"..." That's the part where I realize that my only friends in this new land were a green midget. A lazy hare. And a grumpy wyvern...
"I think it's time for me to get out of this continent, and interact with more people" I sighted, no longer wishing to discuss my social life with a woods ranger.
"Just speaking the truth" He shrugged.
I rolled my arms loosely, "Whatever. I'm going to see if the rest of the children would help or not" I replied, rising from the ground to go towards the main leaders. Including Kimnthar.
Wonder how will the fuckers react to an animal invasion.
Heh, "Time to plan god's crusade then..." I chuckled to myself.

Turns out they can't leave the woods unless you're a hunter, which makes sense.
Not all children are battle-made after all...
In the end, I'll just have to do with my loyal beasts, who I tried to spend some time getting to know better
As it turns out, they simply like to hang out with each other. Hunting, sleeping, or just playing around.
At this point, I just need a big boat, and then I can call myself Noah...
Jokes aside, it's amazing to see the effects of my 'Gift' in play.
No in-fighting, no preying on smaller animals, and they all try to be neutral to the people around me, but extremely friendly to my close ones.
Seriously. I saw an enormous green snake purring to one of my teacher's pats. Purr!
I didn't even know they could do that!
So yeah, some really weird, but nice behavior there...
On the bright side, I won't have to limit where I can bring them with me, in the end.
And that's very reassuring.
Not for my protection. Hell, I don't need protection. The only person who will need protection will be the guy with balls of steel to try and touch me...
No. The protection will be for my crew. They're going to travel to some shitty places, after all. And I won't be able to stay and protect them 24/7.
Therefore, my personal army made of cute(not so sure) and deadly(100%) followers will guard my people, while I go and do my thing: Gamblin-exploring around!
But, that's a matter of the future.
Right now, I'm preparing for my first real battle, 2 miles away from Talor.
While I already had some encounters with some wild tribes deep in the jungles, and draw my first blood. This was going to be the first time I would be in the middle of enemy territory numbering a couple of thousands.
So I was understandably focused on this mission...
"Nervous?" Asked my green friend.
He's currently checking his amassed arrows since there will be a lot of targets for him to practice on.
"Not at all, I'm just trying to take it more seriously this time," I calmly answered.
We are outnumbered by a large number, but I believe that by stepping carefully, we can exterminate a good amount of them before they can even realize something it's wrong...
"We just had to wait for the night. For them to be drunk and wasted. And with that done. They won't even understand what hit them," I added darkly.
Their carelessness will be their doom
After this, the remaining pirates in the summer sea will be like headless chickens, easy to slaughter. Providing me with clean routes to sail anywhere, as well as the opportunity to claim full dominance over them.
My eyes fixed on the distant yellow, and orange sparkles.
"Well then. Shall we begin?" I asked the hundreds, if not thousands-when counting the marine ones-, bloodthirsty beasts waiting for my command.
"It's been some time since the last time I fought against your kind. Never thought I would come to do it so soon," Sighted Tamnrell, climbing in a tree for better range, "But seems like a good reason to do it again" He finished with a cold smile.
Like every other child, he despised slavery and all those who took part in it.
It's a disgusting notion to nature protectors like them. In their teachings, all life that came from dirt deserves the right to freedom...
And I wholeheartedly agree with him.
No humans, and animals alike, should be branded and sold to be used like some common, disposable object.
The current wet grass gave a soothing sensation, filling me with confidence. "This ends now," I looked around me, seeing all eyes on me, hundreds of small snakes to dozens of small house-sized wyverns.
My throat brimmed with fire. "Attack all who carry a weapon, ignore those with collars and chains! Destroy their homes, but leave the ships! And remember, make no noise. Now. GO!!" I commanded loudly. We are far from them to hear us coming anyway.
"Roar!!" "Screech!!" "Hisss!!" "Gruuh!!" Answering with excited shouts, the horde, like a powerful virus, began to crawl inside the enemy lines with a bestial fervor.
"Alright, bud! You're ready for this?" I asked, turning my head to my scaly companion.
I saw his eyes glow in excitement, "KRUUH!!" He opened his wings fully while inclining his neck for me to climb up.
Heh, "Eager, are you?", I chuckled, claiming my pace in his rough collar.
"Well. Let's crush some scum!" I roared, a large smirk reaching my eyes.
