Borsalino and Dragon

A week later Percy was on the navy battleship heading of to face against to watch his students fight the Magenta pirates. They were near reverse mountain because they got a tip from one of the nearby marine bases that the pirates were taking a break on one of the closer islands after escaping from the marines.

Percy was all too happy to take his time because he thought of this as a vacation, he spent most of the past six months either training the three monsters or training with Zed on awakening his advancement haki and haoshoku haki. He was tired, the constant training was starting to wear him down and he was itching to either go on a mission or get a vacation.

[This is what I need] Percy mused as he was laying down on the deck as everyone was preparing for the battle. For many of the rookies, this would be the first encounter with pirates and they were nervous. They were consulting veterans or their sempais on what it was like to fight for the first time.

Borsalino and Dragon on the other hand were relaxing just like Percy. He looked at them and they were staring at the nearing island with coolness in their eyes.

"Worried?" Orange asked as she appeared near the two of them.

"Nah" Borsalino said as he placed his hands behind his head, "it's not like they can hurt me."

"I'll just send them into the ocean if need be" replied Dragon.

"I never asked, what devil fruit did you eat Dragon?" Orange asked curiously. Percy perked his ears a bit. This was one of the biggest mysteries in his previous life and he was dying to know.

"It's the weather-weather fruit ma'am. I'm the weather man essentially." Dragon chuckled to himself.

Percy gaped with his mouth wide open. Not once in the 6 months did Dragon explain or demonstrate his abilities to him.

[What a broken ability. Must be nice, to control everything about the weather.]

"Wow, you're going to be so strong when you get some experience under your belt Dragon." Orange said sounded impressed.

"Thank you" Dragon blushed under his hat.

"Eh---, it looks like Dragon does show emotion after all" Borsalino said from the side as he nudged him with his elbow.

"S-shut up" Dragon said further blushing.

"Alright knock it off you two. We are nearing the island. The two of you are in charge of the other rookies. I am handing each of you a den den mushi. You are to only you in case of absolute emergency or if you apprehended all the criminals and need to transport the prisoners. Is that clear?" Percy said as he got up off his chair.

"Yes sir" Borsalino and Dragon responded.

"Very Good." Percy then turned to the other rookies "don't panic; me, Orange, and the rest of my crew will be here supervising all of you so just relax and do your job. As long as you follow protocol then it should be super fast, understand?"

"Yes Sir!" Everyone said.

"Disembark" Percy shouted as Borsalino and Dragon started to divide the rookies into two teams.

"It seems like Borsalino wants to tackle the captain leaving Dragon with the vice captain." Orange said next to Percy as they were both observing the two super rookies working. She was using a telescope while Percy was practicing his observation haki. He could already cover a small island, just about the size of the one where they were on. Any more and it would be a struggle for him and he would need to stand further into the island for a better sight.

"Mhmmm" Percy said as he was concentrating on the island at a whole. It took a lot of effort for him to track Borsalino move at near the speed of light while while Dragon is summoning the wind to sweep the pirates away.

"Ohh.... the captain's coming" Orange remarked as she was still staring through the telescope.

Percy concentrated on the fight as the rookie disappeared and then a bright light appeared next to what appeared like the captain's face. The next moment, the captain was flying into a building and Borsalino landed on the ground with a smile on his face.

"That was easy he said" as he started to pick up his den den mushi.

"He's too cocky," Percy mumbled under his breadth as he noticed that Red finger was still awake and smoke was appearing from where he was kicked.

"4x reformed" a shout was heard from Red finger as the building was combined with his body.

Red finger started to burn bright red and everything around him started to burn including his comrades.

Borsalino quickly turned around and grimaced.

[So I couldn't one shot him. I guess Grand line pirates are a step above South Blue pirates after all].

He quickly shot several light beams into Red finger and Percy could see light holes being formed, but not before the captain launched a desperate attack against the rookie.

The pirate threw the melted house and slag at Borsalino hoping that he would burn to death, but to his horror; the marine simply reassembled himself immediately.

"Heh." The pirate said as he started to cough out blood. The light beams were too much for his body to handle and he knew he was about to die. "Logia users are such a pain in the ass."

[That was quick] Percy said nodding his head. [But, that's to be expected of a future admiral. Let's go check on the Dragon.]

It was a slaughter. With the vice captain not having a devil fruit, Dragon lifted his hands and the winds picked up the pirates and flung them into the ocean. If that was not enough, he then called down lightning into the sea to electrocute them. It was unclear if any of them were alive or not, but either way, the mission was a success.

"Radio headquarters. Tell Zed that the mission was a success and I am recommending the two monsters for rear admirals." Percy said as he turned off his observation haki. He knew that without haki, they were not qualified for vice admiral, nor would they get there without it.

"Alright" Orange said as she motioned to one of the marines relaying Percy's orders.

*katcha* was heard and Percy picked up his transponder snail

"hello?"

"Vice admiral, this is Dragon, I just rendezvoused with Borsalino. The mission was a success and we are going to arrest the prisoners and bring them aboard."

"I understand, and what about the barbequed people in the ocean?" Percy asked with a wry smile on his face.

There was a brief pause before Dragon responded "I'll ask some of my comrades if anyone wants to volunteer to grab them, some of pirates should be alive."

"Alright. Good job and report back to the ship once your done. We head back to Marineford and then... we discuss your promotion."

"Yes sir!" Dragon said sounding excited.

[Well, at least now I can finally finish my training with Zed and then........ New World HERE I COME]
