Fractured Void: Twin Stars

The world called Spirit Star is a massive planet with one hundred lesser planets and ten suns orbiting around it. The void fractured and from it came twin spiraling shooting stars, leaving behind a blazing trail as everything in their path disintegrated. The world seemed calm as the stars fell on one of the outer planets. Not everyone had witnessed the stars' descent, but those who did never forgot the scene as it was far too beautiful to forget. Many elderly people who saw it thought it signified the arrival of better days in the future. A better destiny. Little did they know that their childish beliefs would soon come true. What this multicolored trail showed them was merely 'a tip of an iceberg', as humans would say. However, not even an hour passed and the nearby space suddenly froze. Nobody was able to move, regardless of how strong they were. In the next moment, six shadows tore open the skies above the Spirit Star, causing even the ten massive stars to dim. Heavenly Thunder raged across the worlds, shooting towards the shadows from a hundred different planets, but it was powerless against the shadows. How could mortal thunder wish to injure Gods?! Three Dragons and Three Phoenixes resounded as the world trembled and the universe shook. The Gods had descended upon this world!!! What change awaits this small planet aspiring to become a galaxy? Will the Gods be its aid or demise? Let us welcome the beings from the other side of the void! Let us witness the Era of Gods!

It's a Divine Beast

The scene was showing exactly this fox waking up and breaking the shell of its egg, after which it saw a multicolored shooting star fall down somewhere in the distance. It started quickly running towards that place and after several minutes have passed, the entire world trembled as six figures tore open the sky above the Spirit Star and hundred bolts of ten-colored lightning assaulted them. Shortly after that, a single ten-colored ray of thunder struck something in the distance and the fox felt a feeling of excitement at that moment. It quickly ran in that direction and then two pairs of flames lit up from where the thunder fell.

One of the flames was purple while other was green, as they started circulating around each other and spreading in spiral around the center of impact. While the fox was running full speed toward the place where thunder struck, myriad of beasts that were living in this area started running towards the same place as well.

Some of them flying, some running on the ground or even crawling under the ground. The fox felt angered that they were competing with it and suddenly sped up even more than before, as all the surrounding Spirit Energy started gathering around it in a whirl. Soon, it overtook even the flying beasts as it turned into a ray of white light and shot through the air, nimbly kicking off from the obstacles in its path to get an even bigger speed boost.

After several more minutes, it reached the green wall of flames that blocked its advance and noticed the beasts following behind it slow down, afraid of these flames. The fox seemingly felt contempt for them as its fur shone and it pierced through the wall of flames undamaged, which gave all of these beasts courage to do the same, since the fox passed and survived, but after the fox passed through the flames, the intensity of the flames suddenly flared up and nothing else was visible behind them anymore.

Many beasts plunged inside the flames, but nothing remained of them. They weren't even able to let out a scream while they burned to death, leaving behind only their rich Spirit Energy. The fox smiled in contempt at other beasts that were frantically running away and shuttled along the scorched ground as the flames continued spiraling and spreading around, burning everything to the ground, while becoming even more intense with each passing moment.

As it slowly neared the place where the ten-colored lightning fell before, little fox felt a call deep within its soul and a strong feeling of excitement rose from it, urging it to hurry up. When it reached the two silhouettes peacefully sleeping on the ground near a massive crater, two rays of light suddenly appeared above it, fell down on the two in front of it and turned into two sets of magnificent robes, after which everything turned silent.

The fox used its sharp teeth to bite open the skin on the sleeping boy's finger after which the boy woke up and assisted it in acquiring the blood it needed. It felt a warm and welcoming sensation spread through its body as that drop of blood became a symbol of the pact between the two and then the fox turned into a ray of light and entered a strange space full of stars with a single purple-colored seed orbiting around a miniature black hole.

At this point, the influx of images inside Asura's mind stopped. He finally figured out what happened after they fell unconscious, all that with the help of this little fox. He looked at Xia with disbelief etched on his face, at which she quickly urged him to speak.

Asura: "I can't explain it by speaking, here, let me show you."

He unsealed the purple seed, but this time he could feel and visualize exactly the place where that purple seed was. It was the starry space with a miniature black hole around which it was orbiting - the space he came to know of thanks to the little fox.

Everything he saw a moment ago, he channeled to Xia through the purple seed and even though it was not as detailed as when the fox did it, it wasn't much worse since not much time passed.

Xia: "So that's where those clothes came from, no wonder they were even able to hide us from those visitors from Spirit Star, they are made from everything within this burned region! I can't believe we're wearing an entire forest on us... This is far too unbelievable even for me."

Asura: "Um, but what's the most strange is that this little cutie's egg was here in the open without any of those beasts damaging it. According to logic, there are certainly some beasts that feed on the eggs of other creatures, so why did it not touch the egg of this little fox?"

Xia: "Hmph. As if common beasts can approach the egg of a Divine Beast. I've been doubtful about this little thing before, but now I'm sure it's some kind of unique Divine Beast, since other beasts burned down in those flames. Also, it's very advantageous that you'll be raising it from its childhood as it will be even more connected to you than if you were to make contract with already grown-up Divine Beast."

Asura: "Hmm... still, this world truly is mystical. Even foxes come from the eggs. I thought foxes were born similar to humans, without any need for an egg."

Xia: "You have a point, but I think all Divine Beasts come from an egg, because that egg is formed from the purest and gentlest energy their mothers filter out for them. I'm not sure if it's possible for humans to be born from eggs, but considering this is a world of mysteries, I wouldn't be surprised if it is..."

Asura: "You still don't remember how you know all of this?"

Xia shook her head: "... no. I only feel as if I'm somehow related to this world and that's why I know all of this, but I'm not sure in which way I'm related to it. To make things worse, I feel like my relationship with this world isn't that peaceful, but I can't remember anything..."

Asura: "It's not important. Anyway, I suggest you apologize to this little cutie for calling it weak."

Xia: "..."

Xia looked at the fox who was still looking at Asura, as if he was the only important thing in its life and felt a peculiar feeling that made her slightly annoyed.

Xia: 'Is this... jealousy? Why would I be jealous of a fox?! What!?'

Xia: "Little... uh... cutie... I'm sorry for what I said before, okay? I didn't know you were so amazing."

The fox finally turned its head around and looked at Xia, and then seemingly... smiled. The look in the fox's eyes was saying: "At least you realize how great I am, fufu. That's good. I accept the apology."

Xia didn't know why, but she felt as if the fox was trying to say that to her.

Asura: "Ey, little fluffer, you want to join us on sniffing this place around, or do you want to go back to sleep?"

Little fox tilted its head and lowered it a bit, showing that it was contemplating on which choice was better and then jumped on Asura's shoulder and sat down there, rubbing its small head against his cheek.

Asura: "Nhhh, hehe... I'll take that as you want to join us in our adventure, ain't that right?"

*nod*

After a little nod, he got another confirmation in the form of a lick on his cheek.

Asura: "Gahaha, that tickles... Alright then, let's go."

Xia still wasn't able to figure out why she would feel wary and even slightly jealous of this fox. She couldn't help but stare at cute little fox which, in response to her stare, winked once and stuck out its small tongue out, making Xia not know how to respond or what to think.

Xia: *sigh*, 'Whatever...'

Xia: "Since those beasts ran away from the flames, do you think they're hiding somewhere around here, waiting for their chance to go investigate, or do you think they ran far away?"

Asura: "Hmm... I wonder. If this was Earth, I might be able to judge according to logic familiar to me, but doing that here is dangerous as even this small fox turned out to be something so amazing while I was ignorant of all that. It could've been dangerous instead of amazing and that'd spell our doom, so... I don't really know."

Xia: "Well, that's true."

Asura: "I think it's better to prepare as if all of those beasts will cooperate to attack us if they find us, so we have to be very, very, veeery careful."

*sss*

Asura: "For example..."

*whoosh*

Asura: "Like this."

His hand shot out and plunged underground right below his feet. There was a hole only a finger wide before, but as he retracted his hand the hole expanded to the width of his hand. In his hand, there was a snake flailing its body around as Asura's fingers tightly pressed against its head, effectively preventing it from biting either of the two.

Xia applauded while little fox stood up on its hind legs and mimicked Xia's movements, hitting its front paws against each other, seemingly clapping as well.

Xia: *pfft*

Asura: "He-he. Thank you, little cutie, thank you!"

Xia: *Ahem!*

Asura looked at pouting Xia and giggled as it was obvious she didn't like being excluded from compliments.

Asura: "Thank you as well, little sister."

Xia nodded in satisfaction and then glanced at the fox, as if saying: "It's a tie!"

In response to her, the fox only tilted its head to the side and started rubbing against Asura's cheek once again.

Xia: 'Ahhh... I want to be a small animal too... Wait no, I have advantage over that little thing since I have a human form, hehe. I can be even closer to him than that little sly thing.'

Xia paused for a while and then thought: '..... Why am I competing with a fox?'
