CHAPTER SEVEN

ALEXIA P. O. V

I was busy wandering through my walk-in closet for something to wear but nothing seems to catch my attention this was why l hate parties,l was still thinking until l heard a knock "Come in"I said

"Delivery from Madam Naomi to Miss" my butler said

"Leave it in a corner" I paid no attention to it as l was still occupied on what to wear

"Yes ma'am "

"Arrgh, I groan as l fell back into my bed *sighs* my eyes wandered to the painting on the wall l remembered when 12 years old me and Old Man Will stayed up all night painting the moon and stars on the wall it was to cheer me up because I came home that day crying after being bullied by some boys before this hot, fiery demeanor l was once a quiet, shy girl not because I wanted to but because everyone avoided me like a plague or when they don't avoid me they bully me because of my big scary scar on my left cheek normally once I take in a injury it doesn't take 3 minutes to heal and disappear that was one of my special trait but this scar didn't no matter how hard l try to get it off my face, Old Man Will said he found me like that and it was connected to my past but I couldn't remember anything from before grandpa found me lieing half dead near a lake he took me to a hospital and no-one showed up for me, he adopted me even till now I still don't remember a thing from my past but oddly enough some few years back l woke up at the scar was gone just like that it was strange and grandpa said l have grown out of the scar whatever that meant *sigh*then my eyes fell on the box "what's this?" I murmured to myself, when I opened the box it was a black,long, sleeveless mermaid tailed dress with a slit at the side,it has this little glitter it does when turned at a certain light,and then, there was a bow at the side of the waist line it was gorgeous,there was a little note attached

"This is to make up for the leaving at the villa, hope you like it" Love Naomi

Aww Naomi was so thoughtful, l checked the time, it was almost time for the banquet

*At the party*

I stepped out of the limo, and stared at the mansion, it was beautiful, there was a two swans together in a beautiful water fountain at the middle of the compound and the grass and flowers looks so well cut, the inside was buzzing with excitement the Slade's do know how to throw a party, l stepped inside the mansion to see the party was already in full swing, lovebirds dancing on dance floor, Gold-digger looking for a new thigh to grab on,Playboy's looking for targets, so-called elite bachelor's drinking themselves to stupor, hunger sharks businessmen looking for sponsors or investment the usual. These parties were always so boring l tried to avoid them as much as possible

"Your late!" Clara said abruptly as she and Naomi approach me

"Oh, what are you talking about the party just started" I said taking a drink from a waiter who just happened to be passing by

"Now, who wants to party"I exclaimed taking a huge gulp from the drink

"I would love to party with a beauty like you" a sleezy guy from nowhere appeared

"Ewww, not you, beat it" I said

"Don't have to be mean baby girl"he said trying to touch my cheek with that disgusting hands of his, l was about to twist his stupid hands but Naomi beat me to it

"Didn't you heard what she said" Naomi said

"Arhhh!!, You girls are so mean"he cried out

"Aww, little baby wants to cry, should l look for your mummy for you" Clara teased

"Why you ..."!! He dared raised a hand to meet Clara, not on my watch, l just knocked him out cold

"Is he dead" Clara said using her leg to check

"I don't know, come on let's go party" I said dragging my two girls with me

"Actually Alexia, we having a little family get together dinner upstairs and my parents want to meet you two" Clara said

"Sure let's go" Naomi said

I don't have a good feeling about this , when we got upstairs l saw it was a large table and food was already there looking so perfect, waiting for me to eat it, Naomi nudged me from the sides to get my attention back, l couldn't help l love ❤️ food so much, but then I snapped out of my food fantasy when I saw who was seated at the table, it was the Robot arrgh just my luck besides him were also Clara two parents and her other brother Allen

"Good evening Mr&Mrs Slade's ,it is my pleasure to meet you" I greeted

"Pleasure is all ours" Mrs Slade greeted back "oh My Alexia,you have grown into a beautiful young lady she smiled genuinely

"I could say the same for you, you are absolutely gorgeous Mrs Slade " I said

"You are such a sweet mouth, please take a seat" she said

It was then l realized I was the only one standing and the only available seat was between Clara and her Robot of a brother l groaned inwardly as l made my way to sit

"I have missed you so much my dear our was your study abroad, you never came to visit as soon as you got back Miss Slade started

" Apologies for that l was occupied at the time but it doesn't make up for it regarding my studies it was, enlightening,thrilling experience"I said

"So what have you been studying abroad" Mr Slade said
