Once the police arrived each of us was checked out and no one had any serious injuries not even Izuku since Airi didn't give him a chance to use his Quirk. My classmates started to discuss the villains they had faced while ignoring Aoyama.
"Akira I can't believe you got so close to that guy with his brain exposed he looked seriously frightening." Said Tsuyu
"Yeah, I mean if it wasn't for Airi holding him for me I never would have even thought to get that close," I said.
"I've been wondering how does your Quirk work exactly it seems like you're able to put people to sleep," she asked not holding back her curiosity.
"Hmm we'll my Quirk basically lets me control this energy-"
"Where do you think I was?" Aoyama suddenly came out of nowhere and asked.
"Where?" Tsuyu asked
"It's a secret!" Aoyama answered looking like he was posing for some kind of hidden camera.
"Let's have the students returned to their classrooms for now" a detective walked over and spoke.
"Come on Aki let's go!" Airi said running over and pulling me away.0
Since the police decided not to question us, we all returned to the classroom. While walking back I could tell that everyone was reflecting on what had happened today, but I knew that my classmates were strong and they would use this attack as a learning experience.
…
The next day following the USJ attack U.A. was closed. Following some morning training we took advantage of the fact that Airi's mother was at work to take a shower together. Afterwards while I was sitting on the couch watching TV with her head in my lap she asked,
"We have the day off what should we do?"
"Hmm well how about we take the opportunity to celebrate the end of season 1 with a date" I suggested
"Ooh, I like the way you think that sounds perfect!"
"So, what should we do?"
"Hmm I think I'll let you take the lead on this one"
"Fine by me," I said pulling out my phone to see if there was anything going on today but our options seemed limited since it was a weekday. After coming up with some sort of game plan I stood up and held out my hand.
"Well first let's grab some lunch"
"Sounds good let's try that place that's supposed to have really good gyudon"
"Have mentioned that I love you"
"You have but I'm always open to hearing it more. Alright, I'm gonna go get changed wait for me here" she said with a sly smile before disappearing up the steps.
….
When she came downstairs my eyes couldn't help but widen. She was wearing a white slightly frilly off-shoulder top tucked into a pair of high-waisted black shorts. On her feet, she wore a pair of black Converse. In lieu of her usual choker, she wore a ribbon wrapped around her neck tied into a bow. For jewelry, she wore a silver bracelet and multiple ear piercings completed with an industrial piercing going through the top of her left ear.
"You look beautiful," I told her believing every word. I couldn't help but think I didn't have a large enough vocabulary to describe how felt when I looked at her. Hearing my words Airi immediately smiled and said,
"Hehe, thanks I know right? Plus, now we match." Just as she said we now had on matching color schemes with me wearing a white t-shirt, a black oversized cardigan with skinny jeans, and black combat boots. Our jewelry even matched as I was wearing a silver necklace around my neck.
"Alright let's go," I said holding out my hand. As soon as she took it, we left the house and headed towards the nearest station.
After we were done with lunch, I took her to a theater where an anime movie she hadn't gotten the chance to see yet was screening.
…
Walking out of the movie Airi asked me,
"What was that movie about anyway?"
"I don't know I wasn't paying attention due to a certain someone"
"Hey! Don't act like it was my fault you were right there with me."
"Whatever all his movies are the same anyway"
"True… anyway where are we going next?"
"I figured we could go to an arcade nearby"
"Ooh sounds good we can turn it into a competition."
"It's like you read my mind," I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder. As we continued down the street headed towards the arcade.
During our trip to the arcade, the first thing we did was play a couple of rounds of the popular fighting game Street Heroes 6. Where Airi proceeded to kick my ass. When I complained she just said two words,
"Get Good." So, I immediately took her to play a shooter where I had a resounding victory. In retaliation, she took me on a trip through the rhythm game section which she knew she was better at. We ended up drawing quite a crowd when we played a game that reminded me of DDR. After going through some of the more miscellaneous games they offered, we decided to head out.
I decided to make dinner our last stop on our date. I ended up taking her to a Kaitenzushi restaurant also known as conveyor belt sushi. Where an endless train of sushi winds its way through the restaurant. I knew how much she enjoyed these places so I didn't hesitate to take her. When our plates were stacked sky high, we decided to cash out and head home. On our way, I turned to her and asked,
"I know we're still on a date but mind if we stop by the hospital? I know it's not the best way to end our date."
"Of course, we go every day it would feel weird if we skipped. Come on!" She said as she grabbed my hand and lead me down the street.
