Chapter 19: Getaway

Richard

“Mr. Bradshaw, I have your morning smoothie.” My personal chef walks over to me and hands me a green smoothie. I don’t remember at what point I fell asleep last night but I do remember someone taking a picture of Claire and I kissing. I grab my phone from the night stand and check my messages.

I tap on the notifications symbol and see a text from Claire. “Need to talk ASAP.”

I know last night was a bit of a scare after someone took our picture and I hope she’s ok. I decide to give her a call as she has me worried now.

Claire picks up the phone and informs me about the message that was sent to her with a picture of us kissing. I slowly sit on the bed and put my hand over my head. The last thing I want is for her to be afraid. I have to do something. I ask Claire to meet me later tonight so we can figure out what to do, and it will give me a chance to see her again.
