Creature Ranks

After a good night's sleep with his little sister for the first time in four years, Shye woke up early to prepare for another day at school.

Waking up early like this is not a problem for him at all.

This is because he needed to always wake up early when they were living in the dilapidated hut to try and look for vegetables or hunt small animals.

Fortunately, after four long years, they didn't have to live like that anymore.

Shye took a thorough bath in their new fancy bathroom before changing into his academy uniform. Then, he put his newly washed training uniform inside his bag.

Before leaving, he took one last look at his room to make sure that he didn't forget anything. He then opened the door of Maia's room to check on his little sister before leaving for school.

Maia had a serene look and a slight smile on her face as she slept comfortably on her new bed.

After seeing that Maia was peacefully sleeping, Shye left the dormitory with a wide smile on his face.

"Oh? Captain! Are you going to school now?"

While on the way, Shye heard a female voice behind him so he quickly turned to look.

The girl who called him had red hair that was tied into pigtails, an athletic body with an above-average-sized chest, and a perky rounded booty.

In addition to this, the girl was almost the same height as Shye. He was surprised because the one who called him captain was Shirley Locke.

He thought that this girl was very arrogant but who would've thought that she would reach out to him first?

"Oh…Hello Shirley! Shall we go together to the classroom?"

"Yeah!"

After hearing Shye invite her to walk together, Shirley felt happy. She then positioned herself beside Shye as the two started walking towards the classroom together.

On the way, Shye and Shirley chatted casually and grew a little bit closer to each other.

A few minutes later, the two of them entered the classroom together and their classmates couldn't help but be surprised.

They knew that Shye was humble but this girl Shirley was nowhere near the word humble.

[Congratulations! You've earned 21 points!]

Shirley didn't care about the weird stares going their way but Shye couldn't do the same, he was a bit embarrassed, especially after earning an unexpected 21 points from his classmates.

"Why are you guys admiring me?! For what?!" Shye inwardly complained in a confused manner.

Still, he pretended to not notice the weird stares as he continued walking towards his seat without saying anything.

Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the end of it. His seatmate slowly leaned closer to him and whispered

"Oh?? You sure move fast captain! Did her huge booty captivate you?"

Shye gave his classmate a "what the fuck are you saying" look before ignoring him.

His classmate was about to double down on teasing him but fortunately, their instructor arrived so his classmate had no choice but to go back to his seat for now.

Their instructor this time looked a bit old and strict so no one dared to cause any trouble.

Shye breathed a sigh of relief after getting a break from the weird and "knowing" stares of his male classmates.

"My name is Per Hackett, call me Instructor Per at all times. I shall be the one to teach you what you need to know regarding creatures."

Instructor Per scanned the seats and seeing that there were no excess seats, he simply marked everyone as present.

He then took out his feather pen and ink that he would be using to write on the whiteboard.

His actions puzzled the students a bit because no one would be able to see anything on the whiteboard with such a small feather pen as a writing tool.

In just a few moments though, their questions were answered as the feather pen suddenly became larger and thicker.

"Hmm? Is Instructor Per a mage? How could he do such a thing?"

Shye wondered.

"Today, our lesson shall be about creature grades. As adventurers, you must learn as much as possible regarding creatures that you will possibly face once you graduate from this academy."

Instructor Per started scribbling words on the whiteboard using his enlarged feather pen.

Iron-ranked adventurer = E- ranked creature

Steel-ranked adventurer = E ranked creature

Bronze-ranked adventurer = D- ranked creature

Silver-ranked adventurer = D ranked creature

Gold-ranked adventurer = C- ranked creature

Platinum-ranked adventurer = C ranked creature

Ruby-ranked adventurer = B- ranked creature

Emerald-ranked adventurer = B ranked creature

Diamond-ranked adventurer = A- ranked creature

Mithril-ranked adventurer = A ranked creature

Adamantite-ranked adventurer = S- ranked creature

Titled Adventurer = S ranked creature

Hero = Mythical creature

"Now, everyone please look at the whiteboard. I've written the corresponding creature ranks for each adventurer rank."

"Although this comparison is mostly true for an adventurer party, it would be hard for a single adventurer to defeat a creature of the same rank."

"For example, if a platinum-ranked adventurer tries to fight a C ranked creature one on one, he will most likely be defeated."

"However, there are some elite adventurers who can defeat creatures of the same rank."

"Once you graduate, I would recommend you to join adventurer parties first before attempting a solo mission. It would be a waste of time and effort if you simply die due to biting off more than you can chew."

"Are there any questions?"

"None, Instructor Per!" The class answered.

"Good! That's it for today! Dismissed!"

Instructor Per immediately walked out of the room after announcing the dismissal.

The whole class went silent, only thirty minutes passed since the lesson began and they were already dismissed?!

"D-Dismissed already? This baldy is too lazy, don't you think?"

"Shhh! He might hear you!"

Shye inwardly chuckled after hearing the conversations of his classmates. Still, an early dismissal was good for him.

He had plans after school and it looks like he can act on them way earlier than expected.
