11 A New Skill and A New Home
"Haaah…Haaahh…"
Shye was panting hard after arriving at the training fields. Fortunately, he made it back on time.
"Oh? Crowley, what happened? I didn't expect you to arrive last!"
Instructor Fienna walked towards Shye to tease him. She already knew what happened because the same thing happened every year.
The female changing rooms were deliberately built far away from the warrior class classrooms.
The purpose of having the warrior students strip in front of each other during the first stamina training is to enhance their decision-making skills and prevent them from hesitating when it comes to important matters.
For example, what if they accidentally got stripped naked by a monster's attack? Should they exchange their lives just to cover up their bodies? Of course not!
However, Instructor Fienna didn't expect that Shye would be the last one to arrive.
"What a lecherous kid! I saw him staring at me too when I entered the classroom." She chuckled while muttering to herself.
Seeing that everyone had arrived, Instructor Fienna didn't give them any time to rest and immediately ordered them to sprint for an entire hour.
After an hour, all of the students in Shye's class were gasping for air and this includes Shye, Anthony, and Shirley.
"Hohoh…I found another weakness of yours, Crowley."
Instructor Fienna muttered to herself.
Shye is indeed lacking when it comes to stamina. This is because the stamina attribute upgrade is locked in the system.
After his class today, he shall explore the system and then fetch Maia.
Aside from stamina, Instructor Fienna discovered that Shye's body wasn't that sturdy.
She thought that it was normal though because how strong can a 16-year-old young man be? If he's currently strong in offense, he's bound to have a few weaknesses in other areas.
Finally, after a few more training sessions on the first day, their class was dismissed a bit earlier than expected.
After seeing Shye in such a funny state earlier, some of his classmates tried to get close to him during the class.
They were surprised to know that Shye wasn't arrogant at all, unlike the other students in the top 20, and by the time the class ended, they were already pretty familiar with each other.
Shye bid his classmates goodbye as he started to walk at a decent pace toward their dilapidated hut.
While walking, he opened his system because he wanted to explore it. After seeing the options, he decided to open the system's [Shop]

Shye was a bit disappointed. He tried it on other things but the result was the same.
Desperate for results, Shye finally tried it on an adventurer who had just walked by him.

Shye sighed in disappointment.
"I spent 100 points for this? Well, at least I can see their levels…"
Indeed, seeing a person's level can at least inform him of how strong a person is.
His thoughts were cut short as he finally arrived in front of their dilapidated hut and upon entering, he saw Maia sleeping on the wooden floor of the hut.
Seeing his little sister uncomfortably sleeping on the floor, Shye's heart ached.
"I'm sorry for letting you suffer…We have a proper house to stay in now…"
Shye muttered to himself. He then walked towards Maia and woke her up.
"Maia…Hey…Maia…"
"Hmm? Big brother? You're back so early?"
"Yeah…We got dismissed early…I have good news for you! I lucked out during the entrance exam and got 16th place overall. I didn't expect that they would provide a large house for me inside the academy!"
"O-Oh…Good for you, big brother…"
Contrary to his expectations, Maia was sad upon learning that he had a huge manor inside the academy.
She wanted to live together with her big brother but it seemed that it was impossible for now so she was sad.
Maia knew that her big brother would always visit her but she was still sad that they wouldn't be able to sleep at the same house anymore.
Shye smiled after seeing Maia's dejected look, he then rubbed her head and said
"You silly! You're coming with me! The academy allowed us to bring in one family member. I came here to pick you up!"
He was pleased seeing Maia's dejected look turn into a look of confusion and then happiness.
"R-Really? Yayy!!"
Maia ran towards Shye and hugged him.
She didn't care that much about a fancy house, she cared more about whether she would be able to stay together with her big brother or not.
After Maia's short moment of celebration, the two of them started walking towards the academy.
"Maia! Look at this!"
While on the way, Shye remembered that he had a bag of silver coins so he brought it out and showed it to his little sister.
"Woaahh!! Big brother! How did you get so much money?!"
Ever since their parents died, she rarely saw silver coins so Maia couldn't believe how much money Shye had right now.
"It's a reward for those in the top 20! Isn't your big brother amazing?"
"Amazing! My big brother is the best!" Maia said with a wide smile on her face.

Shye blushed upon hearing his little sister's praise and he even earned a point from it.
He was just joking with Maia but instead, he got sincere praise as a reply.
"My little sister is indeed the cutest!" Shye thought to himself as he rubbed Maia's head again.
"As a celebration! We will buy everything we want to eat tonight!"
Maia's eyes sparkled after hearing what her big brother said. "Really?! Yayy!!!" Maia jumped up and down in happiness after Shye promised to buy her whatever food she wanted.
Shye smiled widely after seeing how happy his little sister was.
The two of them took a bit of a detour and went to the food district of Colzen City where there were many restaurants and some merchants were selling freshly cooked foods.
"Woaaahh! So many foods!" Maia's eyes sparkled as she checked the food at each food stall and of course, Shye made sure to buy everything she wanted.
After buying everything they wanted at the food stalls, the two of them entered a restaurant where they ordered more food and once they finished buying all the foods that they wanted to eat, the two of them left the food district and headed towards Colzen Adventurer Academy.
Upon arriving at the entrance, Shye saw some of his classmates so he took the chance to introduce Maia to them.
"I-I'm Maia Crowley! N-N-Nice to meet you!"
Maia was nervous during her introduction so she couldn't help but stutter a bit.
Little did she know, her nervous appearance left his big brother's classmates a bit stupefied.
"S-So cute…I wish she was my little sister…"
After the short conversation with his classmates, Shye bid them goodbye and continued walking to the premium dormitory with Maia cutely trailing behind him.
A few minutes later, they finally arrived at the premium dormitory.
Maia's eyes sparkled and her mouth was wide open after seeing their new fancy house. It was almost as big as their old house so she couldn't help but feel both shocked and excited.
She happily entered the manor and ran around the house to check everything. Then, after seeing all the rooms, she chose the room that she liked best.
Maia excitedly entered her new room and rolled around her new comfortable bed with a blissful expression on her face.
Seeing his little sister so happy, Shye couldn't help but smile from ear to ear.
He then let her roll around a bit more on her new bed while he prepared their food and drinks on the large table.
As a sensible little sister, Maia quickly left her comfortable bed and helped her big brother prepare the food. She had a lot of time to enjoy her new bed later anyway.
Once the food was ready, Shye and Maia excitedly sat down to eat.
They purchased a lot of food including burgers, meat buns, vegetables, rice meals, fries, and soda.
The two of them grabbed a meat bun as tears welled up in their eyes after their first bite.
How many years has it been since they last ate a proper meal like this? Although teary-eyed, they looked at each other happily as they ate to their heart's content.
