Rimuel arrived sooner than they expected him.

"Hi, you are early "she welcomed him in.

"Didn't want to be late. Brought flowers for your mother" he gave her the flowers.

"You should give them to her your self "

Leading him to the kitchen. She called her Mom "Mom, my boyfriend is here. And he bought you flowers "She shouted

Mrs. Rian was a beautiful lady with a bright smile. She welcomed him with a hug.

This shocked Rimuel who recovered after her warm body left his.

"You are a tall guy and handsome at that. You can have a seat as I finish cooking the meals"

His eyes scanned the kitchen and seeing the mess. He immediately offered to help.

" No dear. Your the guest, not the host and you can't possibly know how to cook "Mrs. Rian protested

" I know my way in the kitchen, a little help won't matter "

Vanita seeing him eager to help told her Mom "Mom let him help, he's better than me who can't do anything in the kitchen "

Her mom finally agreeing, Rimuel cut the vegetables as she cooked the soup.

Her work in the kitchen eased with his help and soon dinner was ready.

As they were setting the table her father arrived.

Feeling nervous again Rimuel stood up and waited for him to enter the room.

"Dad this is Rimuel. Rimuel meet my Dad "Vanita introduced them.

"Nice to meet Mr. Rian" he extended his hand for a handshake.

Accepting it Mr. Rian answered "Nice to meet you too"

"Honey let's have dinner, our guest helped me prepare it," Vanita's mom said

"So you know how to cook. You are too young to know that "Mr. Rian answered

"Well, my father has always been busy with work so he didn't have time to cook. He never trusted house workers so I had to learn how to do it my self "Rimuel answered

"Hmm.. let enjoy the meal then "

They sat down and started eating. The conversation around the table was light but warm.

Rimuel answered every question her parents asked.

"What does your father do? "

"He's a businessman " was his answer

Vanita's Dad seemed to have sensed something but let it go. Later they had tea which the ladies left them alone in the sitting room.

Rimuel saw the documents on the table and read through them. Discovering it was about different cases.

"Interested in law? I own a law firm " Mr. Rian asked

"Not so much. I usually help my father with the legal work of his companies. So I have some knowledge "

Later when Vanita came back to see what they were doing. She saw them immersed in her Dad's work looking like work partners.

"Hi, Dad. it's time you let my boyfriend go home. His Dad might think we kidnapped his son"

Both men looked up and checked the time and it was already late. Her Dad smiled and stood up.

She's right I held you for too long. Must have enjoyed your ideas with these cases "

"it's OK. Am grateful I was of help to you"

Moving towards the door. He said his goodbyes.

Mrs. Rian hugged him again leaving a smile on his face. Vanita followed him outside.

"It seems my parents liked you more than me. They enjoyed your company. You left a good impression on my Dad".

"I tried my best. I was so nervous but they are good people " he commented.

She followed him to his car and hugged him goodbye.

"I won't kiss you. Your parents might be looking through the window " he whispered in her ear.

Pushing him to his car she ran back to the door.

Waved him goodbye as he left.

"He seems nice," her mom said when she returned to the house.

"Mom I wouldn't get a bad boyfriend "

"I liked him too," her Dad said.

Feeling happy she jolted to her room and called Essie. Who was waiting to hear how the dinner plans had progressed.

"So how did it go, son? Did they like you or you failed? Rimuel's father asked

"They liked me so much that they asked me to marry their daughter," he said

"WHAT..." his father shouted

"Hmm...Yeah, they did. Prepare for a wedding soon cause you are getting a daughter-in-law " he joked

"..."

He moved to his room with a smile for having deceived his father.

He took a shower and drank some warm milk. Finally laying down he sent Vanita a text " Hope you were satisfied with my services today ?"

She smiled when she got his text and replied

"You were great. I thought you couldn't don't it, but surprised me"

"Did they like me? " he asked

"Yeah, they did. My Dad liked you and mom loved you. Thanks for making the effort "she texted

Feeling an accomplishment, he felt satisfied with himself.

"OK go to sleep. Goodnight Vani" he sent

"Good night "She answered back.

The school was soon reopening so she decided to prepare for it. Rimuel had become a daily visitor at her home since she couldn't see him during the day cause she was working with her dad.

He came in the evening and saw her. Sometimes he came in and other times he stayed outside. But she still saw him every day which made her always grateful for his understanding.

"They have been moving around like love birds. I was the first to see him but she stole him from me and she dares to show him off. She will pay "

Yvonne yelled on the phone.

She had kept her eyes on both of them. Rimuel was perfect for her that she always tried to make him see her. But it always ended in vain but she wasn't the type to give up.

"She had once shouted back at me and claimed a had a big head. Huh it isn't that funny " Yvonne sneered

Her family was well off she could do anything impossible if she wished. And her uncle could help her if she asked.

He seemed to be interested in Rimuel's family since he came back. She didn't want to know why but he seemed to be really into his family.

The school was soon starting meaning she had a chance to win him back. And she was going to use it.
