School used to be the Monday of her life but this time she was so excited to report back. It was only this way she could see and be with him all day. she was putting on her couple of sneakers he had bought.
"Morning early bird. What worm did you catch? "Essie asked when she saw her already in class.
"I haven't caught any worm yet, but I think it's on the way " She replied
"Did you just compare your boyfriend to a worm" Essie laughed?
"Ahhh... I didn't you started it! " she complained
"I think am going to use my seat for last time since you don't need me anymore "
"Essie... I know you want to go back so you can sit with Eric. I won't get mad "
Essie having being caught smiled and run to the back.
"Morning Vani " Her heart skipped a beat when she had his voice. It always seemed new in her ears.
Putting on her most wonderful smile she answered back. "Morning Rimuel. What happened you are late? "
"something came up that I had to handle. Sorry I came late "he apologized
He took his seat next to her silently taking in her perfume. She always smelt refreshing.
Yvonne entered the class and saw them smiling at each other. Why was he seated with her? She had decided to seat in the back cause he did but now he was still seating with her.
Coming towards them she stopped and said "Morning Rimuel. How was the vacation? Did you have fun? "
He always thought she was a nuisance and a noisy person. And her smile scared him she looked like a possessed doll. Feeling angry he said "I don't remember us being close that I have to tell you how I spent my vacation and please don't smile at me it's creepy "
Yvonne felt her head almost falling off. He called her creepy and noisy indirectly. Seeing Vanita smile she felt herself grow small. she humbly walked away.
"That was harsh. But I loved it " Vanita laughed
"She just doesn't know her place," he said
Lessons started and dragged on till the end.
"Did you guys see Yvonne shamelessly walk to Rimuel's lunch seat during lunch? She must think she holds a chance with him "some girls chatted
One of them said "I heard from Essie that Rimuel has been having fun with Vanita. They must be dating "
Vanita was the envy of everyone in the school. Rimuel was considered to be the knight in shining armor of the school. He even had his car. Girls loved him but could even come near him.
But for Vanita, they were always together everywhere. He even dropped her home.
"Dad, did you check who has been following me these last few days? "Rimuel asked when he got home.
"Marcus's men," he said
"Is he showing any signs of attacking us? Am not ready to move " Rimuel said
"He isn't. And this time we are not moving don't worry " his father assured him
Marcus had started to keep his eyes on them. Making sure to knows their every move.
"He might try to target others around us. Isn't that pretty girl always with you? Be careful. "
Rimuel knew what he meant but could not avoid her or even think about it.
"I will protect her"
His father didn't bother persuading him but told his men to keep a watch just in case.
School for Vanita had to become her dating park. Even in class, she couldn't concentrate at all with him next to her.
He complained about her not paying attention but she didn't mind.
"It's your fault your the distraction," she said
"Then should I go back behind. But I remember I was still a distraction so what should we do " he remarked
She felt embarrassed and kept her mouth shut.
"You are here. Why should I pay attention when you give me everything in the exams "
"you are turning into a dummy and I don't like dumb girls," he said
She saw his face change making her guilty.
"OK... I will study from today onwards " she promised.
"Honey it's been now a month since you started school. How is it going? You used to tell me everything but not anymore " Mrs.Rian complained.
"Mom school is fine. Nothing special apart from the weird car that has been following me for a while " She said
"I car? Hmm, you should be careful. Human trafficking is high these days " her mom warned
"I will mom and am always careful. Don't worry "
Mrs. Rian had been feeling uneasy for a while but didn't know what bugged her. Worried she told her family to both be careful.
"So his married and has a daughter. That's more fun " Marcus laughed.
Having been carefully planning and watching his targets. He had found out that the law firm's daughter dated his biggest enemy's son.
"It's going to be fun. Let's see how they won't bend to me "
"Uncle when are you planning to pave my way for me. I have helped you get information about her for a while now. You should keep your end of the bargain "Yvonne shouted.
"I no dear niece. And the day is coming for that just be patient "Marcus exclaimed
"I want her pretty face that seduced him gone and destroyed " Yvonne sneered

"I want you to make sure he never returns here "Mr. Rian shouted at his security.
Marcus's men had started harassing him with threats but he had not yielded to them. He didn't care what they said he was never helping a gangster no matter what.
When he came back home he told both Vanita and her mom to be extra careful.
"Why dear? Did something happen at work? "Linate asked him.
"It's just work nothing to worry about," he told them.
Rimuel had spent a week without coming to school. She had left missed calls on his phone. She was worried that something bad happened.
"He's OK. Eric said it's just a family issue but he will report back " Essie informed her.
But her heart still failed to feel at ease. She decided to go visit his home. Having gone there more than once she knew her way.
After knocking a couple of times the door was opened. She didn't remember his name but knew he was among his so-called uncles.
The moment he saw her he smiled and let her in. Taking her towards the sitting room.
"His quiet busy with his father. But let me inform him you are here, he will be glad you came" He said
When she heard he was busy she immediately stood up and told him to let him be.
"Please don't disturb him. I just wanted to know if he was Okay.
"His fine just a little preoccupied "
"Then I will take my leave. Tell him to call me when he's free " she rushed toward the door.
Cass smiled and said "She's shy. Ahh that bastard better treat you well "
The meetings seemed to last longer. Sometimes he thought going to school was useless since he was already operating his father's businesses. But his father had insisted on him going to school to fit in socially.
He was so tired when he came out so he decided to head to bed.
"Hi Loverboy " Cass shouted
"I told you not to call me that. But you never listen " Rimuel complained.
"Your girlfriend came by. But decided not to disturb you and left "
"When was that? why didn't you call me, I would have seen her? " he yelled
"Don't shout at me. She was the one who ran away. I didn't do anything "
Grabbing the car keys he left.
Vanita having not seen him felt disappointed. Deciding not to take the bus home she walked.
As he drove towards her home, he saw her frame on the street walking. He stopped the car and rushed to her.
Giving her a scare she screamed.
She hadn't expected him to appear like that but was still grateful he came.
"I thought you were busy ?"
" Am not anymore. Sorry I didn't come to school or call you "
" if you were busy am fine with it and I won't ask what you were doing "she hugged him.
Letting her sink in his embrace transferring his warmth to her.
"Let me take you home," he said leading her to the car.
" I missed you so much " she wained
"I missed you too " he replied
Arriving at her home he leads her to the doorway.
"OK now go in. It's cold " he pushed her to the door.
"Hmm... hope to see you at school tomorrow "
"I will be there " he confirmed
He bent towards her lips and kissed her.
"Goodnight my paradise " he whispered
He kissed her again and let her go inside. Then he left but he didn't fail to notice the black car that had followed them.
